I had just taken my truck in for service at my local Ram dealership for an oil change and fuel filter service and spent an exorbitant amount of money for that service. I wanted to make sure my truck was ready to pull our 31 foot travel trailer to Idaho. I have 4 young kids, so reliability in my truck is super important. We made it about 300 miles North to the Oregon border before I got a message about the Inter Cooler fluid being low. After consulting the user manual and doing a quick google search, we figured out that we should just continue our journey since we were about 40 miles south of Klamath Falls without any other viable options. I had my wife look to see if there was a Ram dealership in Klamath Falls and luckily we found Lithia Ram. It was about 3pm on Thursday afternoon and my window for figuring out the issue was quickly closing as we were trying to make it to south of Kennewick the same night. I called the service department and talked to Keith. Keith said they were bout 3 weeks out on appointments, but was very understanding of my situation and said to bring it by and they would get someone to see if they could figure out what is happening. When I arrived I talked to Wendy who was very friendly and went to search for someone to come look at my truck with my trailer attached in the driveway. While waiting I opened the hood and found that the cap to the coolant reservoir had been left off by my local dealer when they topped off the fluid a week earlier at their service. Lesson learned: I should have double checked everything was buttoned up when I got my truck back; but I will be calling my local dealer back and letting them know of my experience and making some demands. I went back to find Wendy who was looking for the shop foreman. I told Wendy I knew exactly what the problem was and she asked Daniel, a service tech, to help me. Daniel grabbed some coolant, topped off my truck, and made sure the warning went away. I tried to pay for their help and they said not to worry about it. I don't know about you, but sometimes I wonder if customer service is dead. Keith, Wendy, and Daniel proved otherwise and completely saved the day! I was in and out of the dealership in less than 20 minutes. Thank you so much for your kindness toward me and my family. We need more people and businesses that care in this world. THANK YOU! I initially spoke to whom I believe was Chris on the phone and explained my needs and my frustration with the local dealer. He was not only understanding, but patiently answered all my questions and was very professional. I was already so impressed with his helpfulness that I thought to myself "this is too good to be true." On the day of my service I was greeted by Daniel. He too was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He treated me and my dog like family, and listened to my needs and explained everything in great detail. They took my car right in, performed the service, and addressed an ongoing concern I had with the brake system. Everything was perfect! Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and seemed to truly care about me and my car. The dealership, service area, and customer lounge are clean and comfortable. For the first time since buying my Subaru I truly felt taken care of and heard. They have restored my faith in Subaru. Although I am driving from Ashland, it is well worth the extra time and miles. Such service is rare these days, therefore I truly appreciate these guys. I purchased a used car 1+ years ago, there were a few issues needing attention and I called to ask…read morefor an exception to be applied to the normal "As Is" type sale, since I felt some of the problems were overlooked in error. My call was not returned. When I made a personal visit, I met with the sales manager, who was genuinely concerned about the experience I had. He was a little upset that some items slipped through their regular inspection routines before going out the door and was asking why I didn't bring the car back. At about the time I was explaining that I had in fact called, the salesman that took my call stopped by his desk and told him I had indeed called, and that my call was forwarded to the service department but again, there was a breakdown in communications. The sales manager immediately ordered a loaner brought up to the office (brand new) and insisted I leave my car with them. This dealer proceeded to not only fix my complaints, but found other items needing a little attention and made ALL repairs at NO CHARGE, and even threw in a car wash. I am now convinced their intent was pure, they don't want something going out the door if it ain't right. One other thing.....the service writers get 5 stars, especially Daniel. He was very patient with this crusty old man, and a big thank you to Neil, the sales manager. I'll be back when we wear out the one we got.
