Do not ever go to Bud's Repair Service. They are a complete joke. At first they said it would only cost $125-$175 for it to get done and everyrhing but in the end Paid over $600 dollars for them to replace a $50 hydrolic line.. just for it to not be fixed it is still leaking just like before and they wont help at all to get this resolved..... plus they have snotty attitudes.. One of my hobbies is to purchase and restore "exotic Junk." They all need work and the first place they go is Bud's automotive for a complete safety inspection. Doug is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to automotive diagnostics and repair, (probably one of the reasons he is an NHRA safety inspector at the Bonneville Salt Flats every year). The pricing is fair, the mechanics are top notch and they also rebuild all transmissions and engines on site. Bud's Repair Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Klamath Falls, Oregon

This is the best auto shop I've ever been to. The staff is knowledgeable, motivated, hard-working, and caring. My husband and I were road-tripping from Kansas to Oregon. Our van started having issues about 30 miles north of Klamath Falls. By the time we got to town we coasted to the nearest auto shop. We went inside to speak to the rep at the desk. He told us that because it was just before Labor Day weekend they were booked up for the next week solid. I had to be back at work across the country in a couple of days. We couldn't wait. Disappointed, we called 5 other shops with the same outcome. Finally, we found Bud's. My husband explained the issues to Doug, and, although they were really busy too, within minutes he was looking under the hood. Doug worked hard to diagnose the problem and to find the part we needed THAT DAY. He stayed late the Friday before his holiday weekend. He saved our trip. Not only did he fix the issue, he showed my husband how to do it in case the issue arose again. I can't say how grateful I am that we found Bud's. read more

I thought this auto shop was honest and trustworthy. I am a female, moved here from another state, and have limited knowledge about vehicles. So, perhaps knowing all this, they took advantage of me. After going to Bud's for a few months, I happened to talk to some car-savvy gentlemen at my gym about my auto repairs. They thought it was questionable that my car needed a new belt and the differential fluid tank needed to be replaced at 85,000 miles, as Bud's had told me. I proceeded to take my vehicle to another auto center for a second opinion. Low and behold, the belts and differential fluid tank are completely normal and functional. Looking back at my service records from Bud's, I also noticed a trend of him charging me twice as much as the estimation he gave before starting the repairs. I will neither go back to this shop, nor do I recommend it for anyone. read more

Truly outstanding service here! I went to "My Mechanic" to have a simple part replaced, but they didn't couldn't give me an appointment for five days and wanted to charge me $75! So I went straight to Bud's to see if they could help. They were VERY friendly and replaced the part for me in about 15 minutes FREE OF CHARGE even though they were about to close. Even took some time to chat with me about transmissions. I am blown away. Bud's will have my business from here on. read more

Took my car here to have the AC system checked, the staff was straightforward and helpful. Pricing seemed a bit on the high end for parts (even when I asked about an aftermarket option). They diagnosed a bad compressor. I replaced it with a reman one, but apparantly that one had problems too according to the shop. I decided to have them quote me for the whole repair service and after that things were just a headache to deal with. They couldn't find a new compressor and wouldn't take off the pricing for a new receiver/drier (I already have the part). Already have been charged twice for an evac/refill of the system, they wanted to charge me for it again if they did the service, which the service writer said that owner would wave. So why not drop the almost 90 additional for a part I already have? Too much of a hassle to keep trying to deal with it, so I just ordered a brand new compressor and equipment to do the whole job myself. read more

I live part time in Klamath Falls and part time in Central California. I have used Bud's Repair several times as I am restoring and older car in Klamath Falls. Bud's repair had installed a power brake booster and when doing so, they had to extend a metal brake line. They chose to install a union in the center of the line rather than replace the entire line, which was about 36 to 40 inches long. Upon completion at Bud's, I picked up the car and put it on a trailer and brought it down to California the next day. When I began to drive the car, the brakes were spongy, so I checked the master cylinder and noticed the front reservoir was empty. I filled it with brake fluid and then noticed the heavy leak in the union that Bud's had installed. I called Bud's (spoke with Doug) and he said he would only honor his warranty if I brought the car back to Klamath. (6 hours away)I had the brake line replaced locally and sent Bud's a copy of the receipt. The union that Bud's installed was over-tightened and broken. To be fair, I simply asked to be reimbursed for half of the bill which amounted to $50.00. I sent them a letter over six weeks ago and they have failed to contact me at any time. That is why I am leaving a one star rating. Mistakes can happen in the auto repair business, but there has been zero follow up to my complaint. read more

nicest people you will ever meet, it can get a little pricy as all mechanics can but these guys will bend over backwards to save you money. they even gave me a ride home when i dropped off my truck. great customer service. read more
