The first quoted me an absolutely ridiculous price that would have cost an arm and a leg. The second guy offered to do it for cheap but he couldn't figure out the issue so he just disappeared and never showed up. Kevin and Milo came in and had to clean up the mess left by the previous contractor, then thoroughly tested all the zoning, dampers, and zoning board to actually diagnose what was going on. Not only did they figure out the real issue, they fixed everything completely and at a very fair price. On top of that, Kevin noticed my thermostat wasn't functioning properly and replaced it on the spot, explaining exactly why it was causing problems. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and clearly knows this stuff inside and out, but what I really appreciated was how he explained everything in a way that actually made sense. He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. Jesse came by that same day to check it out, and we went through all the test including refrigerant, condenser, contact board, and checking the coils in attic.
