In August 2015 I contracted to have my carpets and A/C ducts cleaned.The carpet cleaning included two stairwells. While the technician was cleaning the carpets, he got a call from his office telling him that he needed to be at another location within less than an hour. He rushed the remainder of the job. When I checked his work, he had left a bad spot in front of the commode in one of my bathrooms. I asked him to clean the spot. After he left, I checked the spot in the bathroom and he must have left the machine on the spot too long and had burned the carpet. I checked the stairwells and he had not cleaned them. I was displeased with the entire job on my carpets, but that was just the start of my troubles. The experience starts with the price quote. They quoted us for a couch we just purchased and wanted cleaned. The guy gets here and tells me that the size of the couch is different from what they quoted. Also that they did not include the price to deodorize the couch in the quote. Both of which would cost more money. The only thing my wife discussed on the phone with them was that the couch smelled like smoke. The technician says I dont know what was discussed on the phone just whats on the paper. He arrives in an unmarked minivan and in no kind of uniform. I contacted Kiwi to do a carpet cleaning for my parents in a Buckhead mid-rise condo building in October 2013 for $199 total. 1) The first technical did a horrible job, just spraying the carpets and calling them clean; 2) Using online chat, I contacted their customer service who promptly sent a 2nd technician who did an excellent job. My father gave the tech a $200 check; 3) Rec'd a call from their billing dept saying we owed $274. A second chat to their CS dept determined the first tech marked a $75 charge for a rug removal/cleaning (offsite) in error. Supervisor was to correct this mark account paid; 4) Rec'd a statement in the mail last week for $274. Mailing the stmt back with a note of the above. Next step is BBB, State of Georgia Dept of Consumer Affairs and Texas' equivalent. This company is not worth the billing hassle. UPDATE: I receive a telephone call shortly after I posted this review. Voice message basically made the same reply as below. I can't fault their CS dept as the promptly dealt with the issue(s). Just hated having the issues. Terrible customer service. They seem bright and cheery over the phone, but they only have one number and cant seem to transfer you to the representative whom you spoke with previously. Also, they contract their work out (we used them to dry out our home after a pipe burst) and the contractor did shoddy workmanship and Kiwi would not take responsibility, and in effect, blamed us for not demanding better service...HELLO??? How are we supposed to know what is proper or outrageous for a service we have never received, from a random guy in a white van that Kiwi sent out??? Misrepresented Service Sold to me Over the Phone, Overcharged for "Deodorizing Enzyme Treatment" which did not work as described. I called Kiwi Carpet Cleaning in February 2015 to ask what type of carpet cleaning service and delivery method is used. I spoke to a saleswoman over the phone and specifically told her I was looking for a cleaning service like Zerorez(I specifically used that company's name when identifying the type of service and technology I was looking for.)I told the saleswoman I wanted a high powered, truck mounted extraction device in order to clean my carpets.The saleswoman enthusiastically agreed that Kiwi Carpet Cleaning uses the same type of technology to clean carpets. Well, when the man from Kiwi Carpet Cleaning showed up in an F-150 with a 50 year old vacuum cleaner, some type of spinning brush and a spray bottle of orange chemicals, I knew I should have turned him away since it was exactly the opposite of what I was lead to believe I was getting. I let him in and showed him around and told him the issues I'm having, at the time, my carpet was only about 3 years old and I let him know I had twins potty training and there were some urine accidents on the carpet in their bedroom. He quickly told me in order to "deodorize" the carpet I would need to pay $50 more for that. In my opinion, when you are wanting your carpet cleaned, shouldn't that also include deodorizing the carpet in the cleaning cost? What a big mistake, what he sprayed on my carpet was horrible smelling orange chemical even though he assured me it was all natural. After vacuuming with what looks like a 1950's Kirby( I have a Dyson I should have offered him to use instead) and spraying water and chemicals all over the carpet, he ran a spinning brush over the carpet...and that was it! How is my carpet clean if the chemicals, dirt, water, and filth are not physically extracted?! I feel like the brush just forced everything deeper into the carpet along with whatever junk was sprayed on it. I was very unhappy but paid the man with a check. The man left, I waited several hours for the carpet to dry. When it was dry, I put my nose down to the area where the Kiwi Carpet Cleaning rep supposedly "deodorized" the urine out of the carpet and it still smelled like urine and looked no different than before. I then called customer service at Kiwi Carpet Cleaning to let them know they had grossly misrepresented the type of carpet cleaning service and how the cleaner charged me for something that did NOT deodorize my carpet. The technology Kiwi Carpet Cleaning uses is beyond outdated, reminds me of something from mid 20th century. Kiwi Carpet Cleaning really needs to get with the new technology because what was done to my carpet is the opposite of cleaning. I keep getting a bill for the service which I am not willing to pay for a service that was sold to me as something other than what I received and then was upsold something that did not have the effect I was told it would by a Kiwi Carpet Cleaning representative. Do yourself a favor and call a company who uses high powered extraction of the dirt, water, and filth in your carpet. If not, how is your carpet clean if the water, dirt, and filth remain in your carpet? read more

My wife used to use Kiwi for her rent house, so I was disappointed to learn that I had not discovered something new. Nevertheless, they were GREAT! They were actually early for their scheduled appointment (but called ahead). The carpets looked and smelled wonderful, and were dry within the hour. We have perpetual pet issues (and that's being nice), so the $4 guarantee is perfect for us. Just scheduled our first 'call back', and they were as pleasant as the first time. Paid them upfront for their services (big mistake on our part). They did ok in the beginning and then as we came to the end of our contract with them they stood us up for 3 different appointments. I wasted 4 hours of my time waiting each time they stood me up. Everytime I called to find out why they didn't show they acted very rude and told me the technician had come to do the cleaning but no one was there, or I gave them the wrong address, or some other outlandish excuse. Finally, after the contract with them had expired I got a call from one of their "managers" asking me if I wanted them to come out and do the work. This gesture was a little too late in coming. I was already beyond frustrated and told them I would never use their service again. Totally unprofessional. At very least, don't sign a contract and pay them anything up front. read more

Great service! We had them come out and clean a sofa and chair. They were last cleaned 2 years ago. We have cats, but mainly a 2-year-old son who had those happy spills of juice and formula any parent knows well. We were fortunate to have Robert Rodriguez who has been with the company forever. I had a dirt spot on cream carpet that a carpet cleaning competitor made bigger.  Kiwi was able to completely remove the spot.  Also a visiting dog had worn my carpet.  Kiwi was able to remove a plug from the closet and replace the worn spot.  I cannot find the worn spot.   I waited 2 months to write this review for fear that the dirt spot would reappear. I used Kiwi a few years ago to stretch my carpet and repair one seam that was beginning to fray. My goal was to avoid giving a carpet allowance when I tried to sell my house. After the technician repaired the seam, it looked much worse than before he started. He then suggested patching the seam and he could make it disappear. After he installed the patch, the problem was now twice as big. I figured I got the beginner repair guy and just sent him on his way. Kiwi sent out 4-5 other technicians over the next few months and it still looks terrible. One of them even said that the first tech should have told me it was not worth trying to repair. All in all, I have a bigger problem than I started with and I paid over $550 to make my carpet look worse. I would strongly recommend not using Kiwi. read more

The seller's realtor used this company to perform a move out cleaning service prior to my move in. THE WORST cleaning service ever. It did not look like the cleaners even stepped foot in the house. There is still dust everywhere, they did not clean behind the fridge and who knows what else, carpet did not appear to be vacuumed. I wore white socks and they were black on the bottom after one hour of walking on the tile. I will never recommend this company. read more

I requested Kiwi Services to clean the tile and grout in 3 bathrooms and 1 laundry room. Approximately an hour following their visit, the baseboards in several ares of the above rooms began to swell and pull away from the tile. I filed a complaint with the office and an investigator came to my home on Thursday, May 12. On Friday, May 13 SB (customer relations) informed me that the investigator stated that the damage was not their fault but rather some sort of defect in my home though no evidence of said defect was given or brought to may attention. Also, the apparent defect is only in the areas where they cleaned and in only in a few spots. They refuse to rectify the damage that clearly they did as the baseboards did not look like that before technician J*** completed the work on Thursday, May 5. The damage is obvious and extensive. Had it been there prior to the cleaning, the technician would certainly have pointed it out to us in order to prevent just such accusations post cleaning. S claimed that company policy would prevent him from pointing that out lest he offend the client. Clearly, they are lying and covering up the error made by the technician. I simply wanted the areas that were damaged to be repaired or a refund to of the total bill of $496.05 to be issued so that I could have the baseboards repaired. Left alone, the baseboards will continue to rot and allow rot and mold to reach my walls. I have contacted them on three occasions (5/6/16, 5/10/16, and 5/13/16), now to reach a conclusion and still have no resolution to the damage. read more

I'm still waiting for them to return to do the service over. I specifically asked for a confirmation call the day before the do over which is part of the 30 day guarantee. I am physically handicapped and not able to move furniture and stuff by myself . I asked for a confirmation for the day before so I could get help preparing the rooms. They failed to call so the rooms were not ready. when the tech arrived I didn't answer the door because I wasn't expecting anyone. Steven the companies customer service manager in Carrolton, TX said they didn't know why no one called. I rescheduled again and SPECIFICALLY asked for a confirmation call. I even spoke to Steven and clarified with him that there would be a confirmation call the day before. After all they didn't have a problem calling me 5 times the day before the initial cleaning to confirm the appointment to the point that I had to threaten to cancel if they called one more time. A FINE EXAMPLE OF INCONSISTANCY IN THE COMPANIES PROCEDURES. Again I did not have the rooms ready because I didn't know that they were coming for sure. I'm not going to pay someone to help me to prepare unless I know KIWI is going to follow through. That morning I was talking to my Dr and the tech came. I didn't answer the door and then started getting one continuous phone call after another from this CSM Steven who left threatening messages on my phone (and yes I saved them) screaming at me. Telling me if I didn't go to the door or call him back NOW that KIWI would not honor the 30 day warranty. Well I have a written warranty and he has to honor it. Apparently he doesn't understand that. They like to be very intimidating to people especially the handicapped and disabled. They also like to talk about people aka their customers to outside parties so I would be very cautious. Not only did all of the drama in my previous post happen but the Rachel person who told personal stuff about me and the former employee also talked about customers. She told me there is an elderly wealthy man who lives in a gated community in Carrolton and the smell in his house from animals is so bad they have to wear a mask when they go there and the cost of his cleaning is 3k. she said his own family won't visit him because the house smells. NOW DID I REALLY NEED TO BE TOLD ANY OF THAT ABOUT A KIWI CLIENT??? NO I DID NOT I'M TELLING YOU THEY DO NOT RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY AND THE OWNER DOES NOT CARE. read more

Pretty awful service. The tech came to our house to pick up a rug to be cleaned. The rug was suppose to be returned 3 days later. Well after 10 days I called and they didnt even know where the rug was. So they said they would deliver the rug the very next morning. So 48 hours goes by and the tech shows up on a Saturday at 8:45am to drop off our rug. Upon unrolling it we noticed that it was never cleaned at all. Still very dirty. They didnt even try to hide that they didnt clean it. I mean come on, at least spray some frebreeze or something. Customer service said they wouldnt give us our money back but would clean the rug again. Ummm you didnt do it the first time. read more

The carpet was in very good condition (3 yrs old). I only had two issues for them to address and neither were done satisfactory. The normal black "shadow" from walking on the carpet in high traffic areas, and one very small area that had left a black mark from my elliptical machine. After having them out twice, the result is the same. I would never use them again nor would I recommend them. Do your research on dry cleaning, because it doesn't work. These guys ruined two expensive oriental rugs and are refusing to do anything about it. We chose them because they advertised they were professionals and knew how to clean rugs. After picking them up and taking them to their cleaning center they returned them, one with the tassels torn off and one with what appeared to be bleached areas. The guys returning them both agreed that they were damaged and I should call their customer service line which i did. I spoke with Steve Boyer and he assured me that they would take care of the issue if I gave him a chance. They came back and picked up the rugs, looked at them, said it wasn't their fault and returned them to me delivered stuffed into the back of a rusty, late 1980's model suburban. Steve Boyer offered to help and asked what I wanted. I told him the rugs are worth $6500 and i would like them fixed or paid for. He said he couldn't do that much and would I accept less to which I replied how much. Crickets.....no further contact from him until I wrote a bad review on Yelp at which time he came back and said all he was willing to do was patch the fringe or give me $25. So now I have to sue these guys to get my rugs taken care of. Why can't you give negative stars on Yelp anyway? read more

$4 per room returns PLUS the additional "trip charge" (for us it's a $40 charge every time they come, which is better than renting the machine and doing it ourself). If you know what you are expecting, you will better prepared than me. They don't suction anything out of your carpet. They pre-treat with some solvent and then use a rotary floor buffer with a pad on it. Our dirtiest room (juice spills and dirt) never gets as light as the other rooms. it seems to just blend the stains together. Our initial cleaning, (they are supposed to move all furniture for the initial cleaning), the 18 year old contractor said "We don't really do that" and so the furniture didn't get moved. Then he hung around waiting on a tip for an extra 30 minutes. And he forgot two separate things, so he was able to come back to the door and wait for a tip two more times. Sorry, guy. Still, I have it two stars because at least the black stains are "gone" now. And it smells good. read more
