We've used this company for years. They recently cleaned a rug that one of our dogs got sick on. It was right at the edge, mostly fringe area. We had it cleaned. Brought it home, and the top surface was clean. The bottom was not. Not at all! I called and expressed my disappointment and they could have cared less!! Only this response - "bring it back." So I did. After looking at the rug, they simply said leave it, and we will clean it again. Never once did they say anything...like I'm sorry for the poor job, I'm sorry for your inconvenience. When i picked the rug up after the second cleaning, they rolled it out and acted like they were dealing with a person who was not ever pleased with anything!!! We will never use them again. Ten stars would have probably been more appropriate. My wool rugs were soiled with soot from my gas FP. Not only did the removed soot to my satisfaction but the even pointed out a couple of items that needed correction. Highly recommend. They could seem a little pricey but in my case it was worth every cent. While I waited for my rug, I observed professional repair ladies replacing threads on an oriental rug that a dog had scratched bare. I am giving 1 star because I have round rugs and found that Oriental bases their charges on square footage,and calculates the area of a round rug as a square. For example my 78" diameter round rug has about 33 sq feet of area (pi x radius squared), but their calculation for charging would be 49 (she rounded 6.5 to 7 ft) sq ft (assumes length x width with a length of 7 ft). This means that I would pay for cleaning of 16 sq feet of surface that doesn't exist. At about $4 a sq ft this is not insignificant. It's not like you can't do the area of a circle calculation easily, there are free calculators on the net. For me this is unethical and I could not do business with this company. read more

Excellent. They came to the house and picked up, cleaned, and did the return delivery for three oriental carpets. The carpets hadn't been properly cleaned for many years and had some stains. It took about two weeks, but the carpets came back very clean, unstained, and nice looking , on the scheduled date. The cost was less than the original estimate (which was based on my estimate of the carpet sizes). The pickup and delivery fee was $25 total. It was all very easy and professionally handled. My awesome, heavy, wool contemporary 6 by 9 rug was picked up, cleaned, packed for a move, and delivered, for about $220. The whole experience was totally cheerful, professional, and old school. Even a billing blunder was handled with care and courtesy. Yes, I know there was a pet stain that was still vaguely visible, but that's the breaks. I had another rug company (not oriental) clean a silk rug my grandma bought me and the other company RUINED it--I mean, brown stains, color bleeding, and the texture was destroyed. I called Orietntal Rugs and they said they would try to fix it. They just delivered it and THEY FIXED IT!!! I'm am overwhelmed with happiness, because I had very little hope they could do anything to salvage the mess it was in. The color is back to normal and the texture is back to the silky soft touch. Complete customer service at its best. Room&Board recommended them & I knew they were the best but I thought they might be too pricey. They were attentive, knowledgeable, efficient and well priced for the $2500. rug that my Dachshund threw up a bag of "BLUE candy-airheads" on. I had a huge-$4K rug that a different dog had ruined ( I thought). When they returned it, almost all of the stains came out! While they were standing in my entry, they saw my handtied colorful Persian rug and offered to take it too. It was so dirty. They called with a repair price and made it look so much better. They have a false location in Arlington listed on Google. When we called to ask help to find them, we were told that the address was listed this way to indicate that they service the area. In fact, their actual location is about an hour from the listed address on Green Oaks. They refused to stay open for fifteen minutes beyond closing when we explained we were at their listed location and needed another hour to get to their actual location, stating simply that it was Friday and nobody was staying late. They gave an illegitimate address in order to get more business from the Arlington area and took no steps to make it right for me when I fell victim to it. This is a terrible way to do business. I encourage you to choose somewhere else for carpet cleaning. read more

I have used Oriental Rug Cleaning Company to clean our wall to wall carpets several times. Their results are fantastic! They use a dry cleaner process, which cleans so much deeper and the results last so much longer than steam cleaning. The workers spent a lot of time pretreating and working on individual spots several times until they were gone. You can also rent the materials and do it yourself if you want to work hard and save money. I will never go back to a wet cleaning process again! The staff is also very knowledgeable. Jen was especially friendly and very helpful. I stumbled upon this company years ago when we lived closer to Ross Avenue. We have since moved to north Dallas, but I still make the trek for my carpet and rug cleaning needs because nobody has been able to come close in results and customer service. read more
