We have been here the last 2 Sundays for brunch before watching the game. Its a great spot (with a very tiny parking lot). They have a bloody mary bar where you can choose to build your own bloody mary, They are very good marys! (Get the one with cucumber vodka!). The first time I came here I got the classic eggs benedict. Wanted to start off with a basic. Both eggs were cooked perfectly. hollandaise was great - the english muffins definitely weren't Thomas, they were better. The real hero here is their potatoes. SO GOOD. The second time we came in I got the potato gnocchi breakfast. Definitely delicious. (Although I missed the potatoes from the first time). We tried K&K for the first time this weekend after seeing the strong review on Phantom Gourmet. The results were at best mixed. Service was quite slow - which I can accept some of that in our current environment, but I shouldn't wait 20 minutes for a drink. The food quality was just ok. Not stellar, not even impressive. We started with the Grilled Bacon (decent, not stellar, and do I really want a plate full of bacon grease with my bacon?) and the Provoleta - which was great. Then we got two entrée salads - the Cobb (which was ok but not dressed very well), and the Beet & Heirloom Tomato Salad with an add of a grilled sirloin steak (which was unimpressive, not dressed or seasoned, and tiny (It was the size of a side salad at any typical restaurant). Oh and the steak was very fatty and cooked rate when I ordered medium rare). All in all were were not impressed, and it definitely didn't stand up to the Phantom Gourmet hype. My son and I went here last night on a scouting mission at dinner to check this place out. Service was really good (great job Cassia). The food was terrific...though there were no substitutions or off-menu sides (hush puppies...I'm lookin at you). This is not a quiet romantic place...it was fairly busy and crowd noise level was pretty high. Parking isn't really right there, but it's a quick stroll away. We loved the bacon app and the steak. Beer selection is top notch (yay Pulp Daddy) and cocktails were very good. Bring your wallet...you get what you pay for so K&K ain't cheap. My husband and I researched breakfast places and came across the well-reviewed Kith and Kin in Hudson. We were able to park easily at 8:40am on a Saturday. Our first impression wasn't great - the entrance to the place is very poorly designed. The outside door opens inwards into a tiny, miniscule area and the next door opens outwards towards the first door, so there's barely any room to stand in between if more than one person is coming in or out. More on this later. The ambiance is pretty decent - not loud at all as other reviewers mentioned, but the place was only filled to 25% capacity or so. We ordered our food - the southwestern omelette, the classic breakfast and one french toast with blueberries. The home fries were crispy and hot, but plain. The eggs were cooked to order and the sourdough toast was tasty. The veggies in the omelette were over cooked and overall lacking in seasonings. The french toast was the worst part. It looked great, but had absolutely no flavor. We were trying to flag the server down for some maple syrup but she disappeared for about ten minutes, so we gave up. She was very friendly, but must have been assigned to other tasks after bringing our food. The place didn't seem understaffed, so not sure what was going on. The coffee also tasted a little burned. At $41 plus tip, it seemed very overpriced. On the way out, back in the diminutive entrance, a staff member was walking in and wacked my arm with the outer door as I was holding the inner door for my husband behind me. The food is delicious and the service was EXCELLENT. I don't know what to recommend because I loved everything. The oysters, the duck poutine, the perfectly seared Atlantic salmon, and the gnocchi were all mouthwatering. My friends ordered the red velvet cheesecake, & devoured it so I can tell you that since not one morsel was left foe me to taste that it was just as good as everything else. Gnocchi ($18) was a little bland, seemed more like a side dish than a whole meal. Prices were a little on the higher end (understandably due to their farm-to-table philosophy). Fish ($18) was very flaky and flavorful. Overall, seems like another higher end place that's coming into Hudson and changing the general landscape. We booked the Food Truck from Kith and Kin for our school's Fall Fest this month. The staff were so great and very accommodating of all allergies (gluten free, dairy free and peanut free!). The home fries were good..bit greasy but good..the crab cake Benedict was not Benedict.. two crab cakes that were bland on poached eggs on a slice of tomato with hollandaise sauce. No english muffin... not very tasty . The green salad on the plate was coated with dressing that felt and tasted like plain olive oil. Ruined the greens with this olive oil tasting slime (thats how it felt in my mouth. The restaurant serves interesting cocktails and custom Bloody mary's. I got the classic and the drink had way too much horseradish..barely able to taste anything else. The most difficult issue was the noise level. It was horrendous..no exaggeration! This was our second time going and it again, did not disappoint! The bread and butter is to die for! We started with the french onion soup, which was one of the best tasting we have ever had. My husband got the sirloin, which was perfectly cooked as well as his sides. I had the scallops, they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. I had the jalapeno margarita and it definitely had a kick to it! Nice to try something a little different for a change. I need to acknowledge our server, Cassia. Just finished brunch at Kith and Kin and came away highly disappointed. First of all, took a while for us to be seated and almost 10 minutes before someone came over with menus. When we decided what we wanted, which was the corn beef sandwich and pancakes, we ordered a coffee and orange juice to go with it. The orange juice was just a little more than half full along with being warm, and the requested cream was added to the coffee, not delivered separately, with so much added the coffee was almost white. Add The food arrived and after a couple of bites we saw the pancakes were almost black on one side....all three of them. The server was advised of this and we showed him the underside of the pancakes, again which were almost black. He apologized and offered to replace the pancakes, but at that point we had already been there a while and needed to go. Despite how poorly the pancakes came out, we were not offered a comp, which should have been offered. We understand what people are going through with Covid and all and eat out all the time, but there is absolutely no excuse for this, especially since there were few people in the establishment at the time. read more

We would have taken mediocre but it was barely any of that. The potatoes lacked flavor the 'Hash' on the eggs Benedict was cold pulled pork that was chewy, the Arepas was a miserable mixture or corn and stuff and all the eggs were over cooked. We got terribly small eggs when ordering poached eggs (cooked in what that was too hot) and the 'over medium' came out hard with browned whites. Our waitress was scarce and we had to interrupt two other waitresses for help with refills and missing items. It was NOT that busy. We spent a couple hundred dollars for a very poor experience. Outstanding addition to the Hudson food scene! Locally and regionally sourced Appetizers (oysters, clam chowder, roasted duck leg, grilled cheese) were all delicious and expertly prepared. Entrees were amazing! No one said, "yah, it's OK". Portion sizes were perfect. We had the pork chop, the fish and chips, yellowfin, and roast chicken. Roast chicken? Sure, juicy, flavorful, bla, bla, bla.... why did you get chicken? For the hush puppies. You gotta try them! Save room for this: a RumChata snowball martini. This place used to be a dump that reeked of mold but now that Kith & Kin took over it's casual and updated. The food is done to perfection especially the duck that was cooked exactly as I like it and the way duck should be cooked. Staff is attentive but not overbearing, the music is great as well. My only complaint is that it's very loud!!! Don't expect to have a conversation with your friends unless you don't mind screaming. I came when they first opened and now again a couple months later. They seem to have figured out a good workflow and the service is excellent. I'm writing a short review to say that the burger was the best I've had in a long time - perfectly prepared and the fries were amazing. I can't wait to travel back into the area and return for this burger. If I could change one thing - it would be the addition of some low-carb, vegetarian options. The shrimp appetizer was too expensive for 4 shrimps (3 star bc of price). It tasted good and fresh but the seasoning was a little underwhelming. I've had tasty small plates in Boston that did not cost that much. Pricing is not justified. French onion soup: 3 stars. Flavor of broth was not under seasoned. Not better than Panera bread...
