Finally tried Kitchen88 after hearing so many good things! The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the mango and black bean salad, it was fresh and had good flavor, but I wish it had a bit more dressing. My friend got the bleu bacon burger with sweet potato fries and wasn't super impressed, the fries could've been cooked a little longer. Overall, it was a decent experience and not bad by any means, just not quite worth the price for us personally.

The perfect pit stop! We found this gem while road-tripping and were so impressed. We were looking for a quick, casual meal that is fresh and wholesome rather than heavy, this place checked all those boxes. The customer service was warm and genuine, and the kitchen is fast. We highly recommend the steak it was tender and paired with delicious sides like salted mashed potatoes and al dente broccolini. Even the salad was top-tier having crisp high-quality greens and a refreshing dressing. A wonderful, generous meal that hit the spot.

We were greeted very warmly and the ordering process was typical for fast casual. Loved the outdoor seating especially because it was such a beautiful night however when we came in all of the seats were taken so it wasn't an option for us. The selection of beverages was really impressive- their house made lemonades were incredible and we love that they offered Barqs rootbeer our personal preference for rootbeer. When it came to the meal itself, we had some hits and misses. Loved the fries they came out very hot and fresh which fries should always be in my opinion. The mash potatoes also appeared to be actual potatoes and not reconstituted flaked potatoes which was also a nice surprised- my husband and I ended up having a conversation about how sad it is to be surprised by real food! The sauces that we chose we also a great pairing to our meal (chimichurri and per peri sauce). Now onto the one thing we were VERY disappointed in especially because this is our second time trying this meal and after our first disappointment we thought it was a fluke but after trying it again we probably won't get the tri tip again. Plain and simple- it was cold. My husbands and my tri tip- is this normal for this dish here? Everything else was pretty warm (not hot like it was freshly cooked but at least warm) but the tri-tip was legitimately cold. New needed up just eating the fries and boxing up the rest to reheat at home which was disappointing especially for the $60+ meal for a fast casual restaurant.

Refreshing restaurant option in American Fork that's surrounded by chain restaurants and fast food joints. A nice menu of salads, sandwiches, and legit entrees. It's counter service but they deliver your meal to your table. I had the tri tip steak and beats and squash salad. The salad is a perfect blend of greens, toppings, and light dressing. I sadly just don't get the hype of Kitchen 88. I always want it to be good and it is just okay. There isn't a ton of flavor in their food and it just seems average to me. There are a lot of better options. The only good thing I've had is the sweet potato fries. I just don't care for anything else. I wish it was good but it's just lacking in flavor.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. Didn't disappoint. I took my company here and I'm glad they made me look good. Great ambiance inside. Lots of natural light, a little blinding at sunset. Friendly service. Really open. I got the tri tip steak with mashed potatoes and chimchurri sauce. Delectable. I got a really good home meal here. All was warm. The broccoli was exquisite too... broccoli!!! The fried risotto are good. Not a must, but good. The sweet potato fries tho might be a must. So salty and tasty.

This is a nice restaurant for a not so fancy but tasty meal. I usually go for lunch and dinner and enjoy the pork tenderloin or grilled tri tip. This was my first time going brunch and getting sides and salads. The salad portions are quite big and you can add meat to it. The sides were not bad but I think I prefer the main meals more overall. Always love the sweet potato fries! Service was good and fast too.

What is K88? It is a really nice, casual, fast, upscale dining experience. They offer really good food in almost a cafeteria atmosphere. When you first arrive you are filtered through their cashier line to order your food. Your selection are what you would find at a nicer restaurant like steak, chicken, pork with all of the sides. Mashed potatoes, broccolini, asparagus, salads and more. After you order you take your number and go sit at a table in their nicely furnished dining area and they bring you your food. There is no server, you have to get your own drinks and it's all very low key. I believe that by doing this they have been able to keep their costs down and provide good quality food. Their prices were very reasonable. At the suggestion of the, very friendly, cashier I ordered the Grilled Tri-Tip steak. Although it had more a sous vide cooking feel to it and they did not ask how I like my steak cooked it was very tender with good flavor. It came with two sauces to dip in from a selection of five. I chose the peri peri and chimchuri. I would have preferred it a little more rare, it was at least medium well, and it was only slightly warm when served, I would have preferred it warmer. I had the broccolini and a side salad as sides. All for less than $19.00. My wife had the peri peri chicken, perfectly cooked, nice and tender. Good flavor with rice that was also very good. I tried their lemonade with vanilla and rosemary. The rosemary blended surprisingly well, even with free refills I could only do one glass as it was very sweet. But it was excellent lemonade!

Food is so fresh and good here. I ordered the steak tacos and I would order them again. Very juicy steak bites and good flavors. The fried cheese on the tortilla, so good. And the sweet potato fries, so good. The apple crumble was so good too. We ordered another one for the table it went so fast.

Kitchen Eighty-Eight is a fancy fast casual restaurant. My wife really enjoyed eating there and I did not. I got the burger and I thought it was very bland. I got to try some of the pork tenderloin and absolutely disliked the rub on it. For the price you're paying I feel this place is not worth it but again my wife enjoyed it so that is why we gave the four star rating.

I'd heard good things about this place, but was sorely disappointed. My food was cold and the steak in my sandwich was an inch thick, not thinly sliced. The sweet potato fries, although very hot, were not even cooked all the way. This place is not worth the hype or the money. read more

My goodness was this delicious. I was in a little bit of a rush so I didn't get a picture of my trip tip steak sando. Nonetheless the flavor and tenderness of the steak was perfect. Steak sandwiches are sometimes hard to bite through but this steak was so tender and sliced so well it was not this way at all. Loved the addition of an avocado and ranch to the sando as well. I got sweet potato fries as my side, some of the best I've had. Can't wait to go back. read more

A cool little spot with great food! The atmosphere is classy casual dining but the food is way better than even this nice setting would imply. Everything I have had is great but as a burger lover I got their burger. And just WOW! The best burger is have had in Utah! So good with exceptional flavor. This place came highly talked about from my coworkers. It's pricy but looked good from their website. The flavor of the food was good but need A LOT more seasoning/salt. They also had no type of hot sauce? That was weird. Everything I tasted was very bland. Not worth the price at all. I got a bacon cheeseburger (they had a special name for it, I think DC burger or something). I'd rather go to Crown or Astro for half the price and a lot more flavor. Also, skip the beehive appetizer. You'll thank me later. The three stars is because the food came out fast and the staff was very helpful. read more

Average at best. They are trying really hard to be the hip new cool place for comfort food but not quite making it all come together. I had the Tri tip sandwich and my wife had the Tapper burger. My fries were actually cold, hers were burn your mouth hot - how in the world did they manage that one??? The food was fine but nothing special. We ordered the burger well done and it came out pink - medium. Both bathrooms were dirty and the place was dead slow. Hope you like it more than is if you roll the dice and try it. read more

OH MY GOD. This is my new favorite food truck. To be fair, my old favorite has been usurped because it NEVER around anymore and when it comes to food trucks, absence does NOT make the heard grow fonder. Anyway, this is my new favorite food truck. The service is of a fairly average speed for food trucks, meaning that it's slower than I'd prefer to be standing around in a parking lot like a dork but in actuality is probably much faster than if I was sitting down at a restaurant. I got the tri-tip (which comes with delicious mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas) with the barbecue sauce and I'm never going back. The beef was tender and well seasoned, the barbecue sauce was sweet but tangy, the sugar snap peas add just the right amount of crisp and crunch and the mashed potatoes were the perfect medium for the whole rest of it. I have yet to try any of the deserts but I'm very much looking forward to it and I'll report back as soon as I do. read more

I had the Thatcher burger. The meat was nearly an inch thick and soft as butter, the onions perfectly caramelized, and a great sauce to top it all off! The French fries were thickly cut and crispy with fry sauce for dipping. I'm happy that American fork is getting more food places like this! There is also a Korean chicken place sharing space with them (bok bok chicken?). I'll definitely have to try it as it looks amazing. WE GOT FOOD POISONING! I used to go to Kitchen 88 when they were in a food truck only and that food was so good. Restaurant is not so great... peri peri sauce has changed completely in the past couple of years it's more runny and not as thick and flavorful. My husband got the pork sando and I got the steak and potatoes. The portion was not the same as it was in the food truck. It was smaller surprisingly! WORST PART OF IT ALL- we instantly got food poisoning from bad meat, 20 minutes after we left the restaurant. I called and complained to the manager and she promised the owner would email me. That was a week ago and I still haven't heard back. Said I'd rather call and see what they can do, instead of posting a bad review but what can you do when they don't try to fix their mistake. read more

While the restaurant itself is fairly clean and energetic, the food itself was quite awful. I've had instant mashed potatoes with better flavor and texture. The steak was tough, not flavorful. The Chimichuri sauce was quite horrible. The beet and squash salad was maybe mediocre. read more

This truck has shown up at our neighborhood food truck roundup several times and I have tried a few of their selections. It's definitely one of my favorites. the Tri-tip is fantastic but the pork is even better and both meals are a excellent choice. Also, they have a really tasty pumpkin pie cheesecake cup that is a wonderful dessert with a great flavor. I'll be eating here whenever I can! read more

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!

We live in Summit county and we're altogether disappointed in our date night dinner in the Valley. I found a recommendation for this place on Female Foodie and now am feeling kind of weary towards her lists! The squash in the squash and beet salad was HARD. Like totally uncooked. Was that on purpose? Do people eat raw squash? Also, over dressed and just overall lacking flavor. Husband said his burger was good but nothing to come back to. Fries were good but with how many cheap burgers are in the valley, I don't think it's worth coming to. The best part of the meal was chicken I added to my salad. Unique and delicious sounding options but overbearing on the vinegar. The Beet & Squash salad was swimming in vinegar dressing making it nearly inedible and the fry sauce was also vinegar heavy.......and this coming from a person that loves vinegar! I'd still recommend this place but suggest asking for dressing on the side and ketchup instead of fry sauce. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, perfectly salted. Why can't these guys come by every week to my business park? The tri tip steak was so freaking good. It was the perfect amount for lunch. Not sure what sauce they put on it but they smother it over some mashed potatoes and holy crap I am in heaven. My 3 star review is because the chimmichurri sauce was almost flavorless :( and I got way too many fingerling potatoes, and only 2 tiny pieces of asparagus. The sweet potato fries were fine.
