His quote to rebuild the scaffold of the closet was very fair, and the re-installed closet looks great once again! This is a great local small business. After waiting for half an hour, I called the company myself and was then told that they don't service my area for smaller projects. I completely understand if my project isn't a good fit for the company, but this should have been communicated when the appointment was made, or at the very least sometime during the two weeks we were waiting for the consultation. We cleared our schedule specifically for this appointment, so it was very disappointing and unprofessional to be left waiting with no notice. A simple phone call ahead of time would have avoided the inconvenience.

I received a text message on the day of that was ambiguous about the time, so I called and verified that our appointment was at 1pm because we had another appointment to get to at 2:30. The person I spoke with confirmed that our estimator, Jose, would indeed be there between 1:00 and 1:15 pm as he would be coming straight from lunch and not another appointment. At 1:45 p.m., Jose was a no-call, no-show. Very disappointing. We will not be rescheduling. I would not recommend working with a firm that does not respect a customer's time.

We hired Jereme and his team at builder boy to be the GC on our extensive remodel pictured below…read more We had him do most everything on job which included gutting the structure down to the studs, reconfiguring the floor plan, adding structural reinforcements to create an open floor plan, re-wiring and plumbing the 5 unit complex, insulating it, installing shear paneling, stucco from scratch, and all the finish work. His professionalism, communication, and timeliness was refreshing in this day and age. Considering the high demand for general contractors today and the price gouging going on due to the low supply we were ecstatic to be able to find a GC who was able to provide high-quality customer service and an exceptional finished product. Our family would like to thank Jereme and the builder boy family for all their hard work and dedication to the job. I know we kept changing plans, finishes, and pretty much everything on you guys constantly but you kept your cool and never complained. Like any major renovation, there were definitely moments of stress, miscommunication, and unexpected issues along the way. I think people should go into any remodel understanding that no large project is ever completely perfect. What mattered to us was that Israel and his team consistently tried to work through concerns, accommodate requests, and make things right when issues came up. One thing I especially appreciated was the patience from the team during the finishing stage. They were willing to listen, adjust details, and help troubleshoot things. That kind of attitude matters a lot during a renovation because there are always small things that come up after living in the space. We did hire a layout design specialist prior to meeting Charles, but the company took our design a step further and concocted a very ingenious shape for the lazy susans to maximize storage. The drawers on our base cabinets are deep, spacious and close softly. It's amazing how much we can store now. I will give another update once the project is complete, estimated in 6 weeks. I initially requested in home estimates from couple of different contractors through Yelp for a project I thought would be less than $10k. One of the other companies with positive reviews straight out rejected me because they said the project would be more than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care, on the other hand, was friendly and professional despite of my quote expectation project price less than $10k. Mr. Cabinet Care showed up on time, carefully measured my kitchen, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly before giving me an estimate of around $45k. What impressed me the most was how prepared and transparent they were from the very beginning. Even though my original budget expectation was less than $10k, they never dismissed me or made me feel like I wasn't worth their time like the other company. Instead, Mr. Cabinet Care came with a well-organized folder containing the company's history, license information, areas of expertise, and references from previous clients who could be contacted for verification. Everything was explained in a way that I could understand, and he took time to build trust and rapport with me, I felt comfortable and confident to put the deposit to move forward with the renovation. After the first initial deposit, the second deposit due on the day of the surveyor came and remeasured and confirmed the project. That was the big deposit around mid $20k. Then after that, the third deposit due on the first demolition day $14k. I think the rest will be once its all done. I'll keep Yelp updated. On the first week of demo, Alfredo and Ruben came and removed everything. It was awesome. First day and all the all cabinets and drawers already out of the way. They worked so fast, efficient and clean. They covered the floor with tape, post the project's map and plan on the wall, and very respectful of my home. Third day of demo, all the wall had been patched and ready for the next step, the second week. Second week, the lead installer, David came and introduced himself. He worked so hard from 7 am till 3 pm. The field supervisor also came to introduce himself, Fausto. They were so professional and worked efficiently. At the end of the day, David would left my kitchen clean, all the debris were vacummed, and all of his tools and equipment were neatly placed on the table for the next day. Okay, this is where I stop, because I have to wait for at least 7 days for the company to make the custom made granite top. And I will update my review once the project is done. Another thing that I appreciated, all the staff came in the company's Tshirts, in the company's car/ truck. omg even their working truck was neat inside. Anyway, it was just neat, I appreciate that. On the first week of demo, when I had a misunderstanding with what they were going to do, I called the office, and Christin, project coordinator was so helpful and patience in updating and explaining to me what happened. Yeah, best customer service.
