    Mixed grill plate

10/10 recommend--we are visiting from the states and were looking for a good Persian restaurant. We are so lucky we found Kish on our last day. The food was amazing and incredibly aesthetic. We ordered the soltani, the mixed grill plate, the shirazi salad, and the makhloot ice cream. Not only was the food amazing, the service was incredible. Thank you to Tanaz and Kevin!

So, I read a lot of the reviews on here and decided to take a chance on Kish. Like many others, it's right across the street from our hotel, the Marriott. There's a lot of 5 reviews for the food, and I agree that the food is definitely 5 stars. I didn't find it to be too expensive, but being from the USA, I've found most things to be cheaper in the UK. The entire is decorated very nicely, with what appears to be ancient stone carvings on the walls. The restaurant is family friendly too. They have outdoor seating with heaters. I ordered the hummus with a basket of naan. There was A LOT of naan! Like 12 pieces! When I order naan in the US, I get 4 pieces. My husband ordered the chicken soup. It was very good. We both got a glass of wine. They are generous with their portions. For dinner I ordered the chicken kabobs. My husband ordered the chicken and lamb kabobs. They came with saffron jasmine rice and a small salad. It's a lot of rice! I couldn't even eat half of it. Everything was very tasty. The only issue we had was that after the meal we never saw the waiter again. He never came back. We were never offered water, another glass of wine, dessert, coffee, the check, a to-go box, NOTHING. Eventually I asked another waitress if we could please get the check. I saw her go over to our waiter who was by the front, point to us and tell him. Neither he, nor her, nor anyone else ever brought us the check?!? I don't know what is going on with this place. I told my husband, "Maybe we will get his attention if we start to leave!" So we got up and went to the front. Still, nothing. So we had to ask the gentleman at the front if we could pay. He finally obliged us. Honestly, if you're going to purposefully ignore your customers for so long I would not be shocked if some people were to walk out on you. Not saying it's ok but you don't exactly act like getting paid is important to you. It seemed like a huge inconvenience for us to pay! We must've waited at least 20-25 minutes to pay the bill. For this reason alone I give service 3 stars. But before this everything seemed fine. Very strange. Altogether our bill was £58 including their 12.5% gratuity. I would recommend ordering to go so you don't have to deal with the staff since others have also complained about the staff being rude.

Only came here because it was our first night in London and it was right across the hotel. For some reason I thought it would be an Irish restaurant but it was Persian which I'm familiar with. I just wanted a quick bite and was tired from traveling so I ordered honey waffles, Turkey bacon and hash browns. Luckily they were serving breakfast food all day and night. The server was nice she was patient with us as we really couldn't understand the menu. My food was good I mean you can't really mess it up i less you don't know how to cook lol I also got a green smoothie it's similar to a green island at tropical smoothie, so good!

A very nice place to eat from what I heard. Obviously it's closed because of covid but I saw desserts that I couldn't pass up on. I ended up getting the massive donut and it took me a couples hours to finish. So good though.

I ordered take out and by the time I got the food delivery, the kabobs were still hot off the grill. The stuffed grape leaves rocked. The bread was a bit disappointing and not worth ordering. Lamb and chicken kabobs were on point!

Authentic Persian food definitely one of the best in the area. Worth the price and it is busy for good reason!

The foul arrived bubbling and steaming pot and the portion is substantial. Incredibly tasty with rich spices and herbs but not too spicy. Also, the dish comes with a huge serving of bread. And I mean HUGE. Like half my body size. The meze is a wonderful mix of dolma, hummus, babaganoush and tabbouleh. Again, a huge portion size. Sustained me for two dinners. Garlicky, creamy and just incredibly tasty.

Since we were passing through London, we figured that we would check out Queen of Sheba. We found the restaurant but the door was locked when we tried to open it. Some of the restaurant staff came to the door and asked if they could help us. They were surprised that we were trying to eat there! Haha. Once they knew that I lived in Qatar and my friend lived in Kuwait, it was smooth and they brought the food. We started off with the traditional maraq soup (made from lamb broth) that always starts off the meal. It was great. Then we got mandi meat (lamb with rice) and chicken ogda. The mandi meat was decent and the chicken ogda was good but needed to be in the black pots to keep it warm. We were happy to discover that they had fresh juice and we got lemon mint which was great. The bread was also good and they had a bread oven in the restaurant. We ended the meal with some karak tea (black tea with milk and sugar) and it was yummy. Overall, it was a pretty good experience but quite expensive (I guess this is London). More information about Yemeni food: http://www.bandaraden.com/about.php
