I came with my fiance and we quickly realized…read morethis farm is a great place to bring kiddos so they can experience a fun fall festival environment. As for us adult kids it wasn't as exciting. There's lots of activities, photo opps and pumpkins to peruse. But in comparison to another spot we've been to we felt like there were some options missing for us personally. This isn't a knock to Hodges, just a personal preference. Now, if you have family in town and kiddos in tow this place is PERFECT! I would definitely recommend it for a fun fall time. Parking was easy, even on a super busy Saturday. There's plenty of signage so you know what's going on in all areas. The animals were pretty cool inside the barn too.

Still lots of photo opps all around the farm. We were able to do participate in some new things since it was the weekend; like their Hayrides/Tractor Ride. The line was never not long but it was something to do. The ride itself is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm. We grabbed some popcorn before getting on it though. It's freshly popped and so delicious! We also go to visit the petting area and feed some of the goats, sheep, cows and rabbits. Our toddlers had a blast! Good family fun for the fall season. && I got a funnel cake before we left (topping choices powder sugar, Carmel, chocolate, and strawberry syrup). The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). Tips: Bring a blanket for inside the wagon. Don't wear your nice shoes. Bring a tripod or stand for photos.

Truly I can't say enough great things about our trip to Snowflake Village last weekend! We arrived…read moreabout 5 mins before they opened and waited over in an apartment parking lot until they opened their entrance. They opened right on time and we went in to park. Shockingly there was only one other car there on a Saturday in December, which we were very happy about. We anticipated a big crowd. We parked and walked up to the front, they have a lot of signage all around that I think is more so for their busy times. I can imagine it gets hectic and this is how they keep folks organized and sane lol. Once you walk in there's decorations everywhere and so many photo opps. I kept saying to my boyfriend how cute it has to be at night with all the lights. They have all kinds of different size trees with different "bushyness". Each tree is tagged and labeled, they tell you once you find your dream tree simply remove the bottom half of the tag and bring it to a staff member. They then take your tree, give it a fresh cut and wrap it for travel. Then you jump in your car, follow a fun trivia trail right to where you pick it up. Again, this is more for busy days but it was fun lol. Then they load the tree into the car for you. We had a pick up truck so there was no need to tie it down but the car before them needed their tree tied down and the staff member helped him do that. Really great service!!! We purchased a gorgeous 8ft tree, the tree holder and a green tray to go under it all to catch water and pines. The pricing was very affordable, which also surprised me. I also loved that they have a prayer chapel where you can write a prayer and hang it on a tree. Very touching! The best part is your purchase helps to fund 30 different local charities and some goes to help Western NC too!!! This place was really special and such a fun time! My inner child was overjoyed and so fulfilled! I always have a fake tree at Christmas and this year something told me to go for the real thing. I'm so happy we chose Snowflake Village!! We had the best experience ever and will go back to them again and again. I highly recommend this spot if you're in the market for a real Christmas tree this year or in the future. Thank you so much to Kristi and Snowflake village for our beautiful tree and memories!!!

They also have all the accessories, wreaths, tree food, etc.. Easy parking and friendly staff are also a plus. Lastly, you can pick a charity that will benefit from some of the proceeds. This is a good place to shop during the holidays. The key is to shop early!…read moreYesterday, I went there for some socks that they advertised on their website, the app, an email and the flyer that they send via USPS! It was pouring raining outside so I knew I could take my time while I was there! Because, I'm here from Atlanta I'm not that familiar with this location! When I walked in I asked an associate where were the socks. She sent me in the wrong direction, so I asked another and she told me where they were. I found the socks and was looking for the ones that was in their ads. They wasn't their nor was there a sign showing that they might have been there! I must have spent pretty close to 20 minutes looking for these socks. They were not there! At this point i'm thinking "bait n switch!" This was not the 1st time I've shopped this location based on something that was listed in their ads and ran into the same results! I made my way to what is left of their toy section! That's when I notice this tall black guy following me! I knew he was following me because, I made my wat to the book section and he was there too three isles over just standing there! I purposely took my time looking for books for a 2 yrs old. And sure enough he was still there watching me. Finally, the rain eased up and I took my items to the checkout and he was there too! He made a purchase and I remember thinking, maybe he was a customer, until instead of going out the door, he walked to the back of the store. I get it, shoplifting is a issues especially in today economy, but everybody is not a shoplifting! And being followed around a store that practice "bait n switch" really made me feel some kind of way! I'm angry, but I get it! I'm not just a customer, I 'm a member and I have the app! #ollies #baitnswtich

I especially like the 15-25% off days I just missed one :( That's when I stock up on my favorite coffee brand! They have quite a good selection. I am definitely a "name brand" person... so that is a bit of a drawback; but on some things, the brand doesn't matter so much. Check out is my main complaint... they have changed the routing to the check out counters; so you are stuck in line without anything fun/interesting to top off your cart. It would be nice to be able to build up points to use at later dates, in addition to their planned discount days.... as a partially handicapped person, it is sometimes difficult to navigate when the store is so crowded. Overall, a good store who doesn't try to be more than they are! js
