Been here several times. Waguyu Seafood is a specialty. Ramen is good too. Price is acceptable and staff is friendly. Nice restaurant.

Tempura dinner and sushi combination M plus teriyaki chicken appetizer.

Food, service and ambiance were all spectacular. Took my boyfriend there for his birthday and he loved it! They offered a complimentary appetizer or dessert for him so we ordered the teriyaki chicken app. His Sushi Combination M looked beautiful and he enjoyed every bite. I had the Tempura dinner which included shrimp, vegetables, miso soup, salad and rice. It was more food than I could eat. Our server was very attentive and nice. We've eaten there before and will go back again!!

I'm not a sushi expert so I can't rank it as the best but it's pretty darn good. I ordered the market special nigiri and futomaki, which left me happy with order. The atmosphere was moody and modern, while the waitstaff was polite and observant.

Really cute family style vibe restaurant! We got the chef's special omakase set! I loved the fatty tuna and salmon. The rice felt too dry and the fish sometimes tasted a bit fishy. We all got really bad stomach ache for days after eating here.

From just looking at the menu none of the rolls excited me too much as I was looking for more adventurous rolls. So I decided to get sushi combo M and see how their fish is. I'm happy with my decision, the nigiri options were great which included different options of tuna, salmon, clam, scallops, and octopus. In my opinion, the octopus wasn't anything special as it didn't have much flavor and was a little rubbery. The restaurant was a bit more upscale and our group of 8 enjoyed the experience.

Kisaku is a neighborhood gem in the Green Lake area of Seattle. Tucked in a primarily residential area, its blue neon sign beckons like an oasis signaling the pristine fresh seafood inside. I always make it a point to stop in when I'm in town for business or pleasure, sometimes directly from the airport with carry-on bag in tow. Both the dining room and sushi bar are spacious, with plenty of space for all and a proper server to customer ratio. Reservations are recommended though, especially on the weekends due to the relatively short hours (last seating even on the weekend is 8 pm). A 3.9 rating is unfairly low from my vantage point at the sushi bar. Richard and his efficient crew serve a wide variety of high quality fish that is well presented and basted with a light touch of soy sauce so there is no need to dip which would overshadow the subtle flavors of the fish. The price points are much lower than those at similar restaurants in big cities across the country. On this occasion, I had a seven order lineup - hamachi, salmon, sanma (pike mackerel), albacore, saba, natto hand roll and unagi. With the gracious and generous add-ons of anago and tamago by Chef Richard, I was completely satisfied and am already looking forward to my next visit to Seattle.

I've been here many times. The food is good and there is easy parking. However, my clothes always end up smelling like stale grease. Also, I invited a friend (his first time there) and they kicked us out after 85 minutes. I had a reservation and was on time. I felt that 85 minutes was too short and/or they should've warned us earlier. My friend had barely finished eating.

service was great, food was good, and had cute interior with nice lighting for a more romantic feel. Had seating at the bar area where you can watch the chefs which was cool also.

Before I entered, I saw their logo on the door and I thought the artwork was awesome! When we went in we came a little before our scheduled reservation but they sat us down anyway which was nice! Taking a look at the menu they have nigiri, sashimi, and some sushi rolls. This place seems legitimate though when it comes to their fish. My friend ordered the sashimi combo which was $32 and she said it was a great deal since they gave you thick slices of 7 different kinds of sashimi along with miso soup and rice. My other friend purchased the sushi combo L and I purchased the sushi combo M which was around $27-30. These also came with miso soup but not rice. They were all great btw! I loved the presentation of our orders! I am a bit of an amateur when it comes to eating nigiri but I learned quite a lot. I learned that there's a little wasabi that goes in between the fish and rice. Having the wasabi was definitely an experience lol but I ate everything! I loved the fish cuts (salmon, white fish, tuna, etc.) and would definitely try it again! It would be nice to try out their lunch menu since they have some pretty good deals!

Everything we've tried here has been delicious. The grilled skewers that are favorites include the bacon wrapped mochi, the pork wrapped dango, the salmon and the chicken. We've had both the Salmon carpaccio and a yellowtail carpaccio that were seasoned just right and so tasty. The quality of the fish has always been high. We always try to get one sushi dish. The staff is great and after a few visits remembers us even though we only go a once every few months. Pro tip: Make a reservation. It's very popular and there can sometimes be long waits otherwise. We also ordered the mochi bacon and that was my favorite one overall. The mochi so soft and the bacon went well with the sauce. Skip the okonomoyaki it is not worth it. The sushi rolls were mostly rice with little fish. I would skip getting any of them. The carpaccios were interesting... not really what I was thinking when I order carpaccios at other restaurants but the fish was good quality and the sauces paired well. I liked the the yuzu sour! It was so tart and fizzy, whereas the lemon sour mostly tasted like water. They are really just known for their decor, which is indeed super cool. The ambiance is very fun. It can get super busy so make a reservation, especially if you have a bigger group coming. I think it would be a fine place to get drinks and maybe have a bite or two, but the food is not really worth it in my opinion.

Menu is broad but not in an overwhelming way. We're always pleasantly surprised when we get the check and it's much less than expected. Our favorites so far are the octopus skewer, bacon-wrapped quail egg skewer, tsukemono, negihama roll, and orange roll. But again, the menu has a nice variety of options for all different approaches and preferences, so we're excited for our next visits and to nail down our true favorites.

While they could've been speaking to menu technicality of simply having it on the menu, in a well-spirited reply they said they had it for us. And so we... * Took a $35 Lyft to zoom over and respect their time, which certainly contributed to the frustration but very much isn't where most of it derived from. We made it a few minutes before the time we said we'd be there. * The only reason this isn't one star is because we ordered skewers that were pretty decent. I do recommend those. * Make sure to have phone charge for the virtual menus The host was amazing!!! Incredible spirits for late night. The servers were pretty garbage! I say servers plural because dude and his lookalike double-teamed us and somehow both sucked. I say this as someone who's worked in the service industry for 3 years. The servers seemed actively dismayed & angry that we were at the restaurant (there were 2 bigger tables that ended up remaining before we left the place, mind you), which simply could've been easily mitigated by telling us at 8:50PM to come a different day if we wanted better service or something of the sort. After traveling far & wide for this freakin Okonamiyaki, with an offputting slight glare, the waiter told us that they didn't have it for the night. No reason provided: "we just don't have it"... mmmk buddy. At least lie to us and say that the kitchen doesn't have any more ingredients or something dude. Upon the 3 of us ordering what we got, each item was disappointing in its own right: * To be fair, my friend who ordered the Uni Udon was warned that it might be a little weird tasting, and it sure was. Don't recommend * The JFC Don pictured was about 90% rice according to my friend. Nothing more needed to say there. * Annd my Maguro Avocado Don... wow I was astonished at how much I disliked it. The rice was lukewarm. Nothing was mentioned about minced tuna on the menu so it looked like dog food in my bowl. I'm white... so what in the white people shit was in my bowl? Like...genuinely. I could make that 10x better at my house in half the time and I'm a fcking college student. Is seasoning no longer with us? Does anyone know what pepper or garlic are? Was astonished at how one can make a dish so terrible. I only ate it because I'm broke and can't afford other stuff. The dish looks as horrible as it tasted , and I made it look better than it was served to me I could go on. And lastly, the checks. Yknow, for guys that seemed so pissed for us being there, they were slow as hell with the checks. I'm kind af but a bitch when I'm fucked with (case in point here), so I really gave them my whole dentures, which was exponential in magnitude compared to what they gave us. Thank you Issian, for a terrible night. Citizens of the world, please don't waste your money here, I beg you.

The restaurant isn't huge so I'd imagine it could get pretty packed during a lunch or dinner rush. There a few parking spots out front in the plaza, but also lots of street parking nearby. The sushi bowls and rolls are huge portions and they tasted good, and I appreciate the warm sushi rice underneath (hate when it's cold). Finally, we were celebrating a birthday so we appreciated them bringing out a complimentary dessert and it was very cute having them play the birthday song on the speakers so the whole restaurant sang along! On the misses, the spicy salmon hand roll was extremely salty to the point where it was burning my tongue. The hot dishes like the salmon chanchan yaki and chicken teriyaki were bland and overcooked, didn't even want to bring leftovers home. And the sushi took FOREVER to come out, at least 15 minutes after the hot dishes, so be warned if it's busy. Parking is also very limited on site so that;s another warning if you're going during busy times.
