Stopped by VIP pizza, mainly because it's my hunny's favorite pizza place in Exeter... The staff was prompt and friendly. I had the combination pizza. While I waited for the pizza, I had their salad bar. Reason for missing star: the salad was slimy... oxidized and wilted...croutons were soggy. However, the pizza was wonderful!!! The first was crispy on the bottom...the toppings were plentiful...and when I asked for ranch to go...I immediately got two large containers to put with my pizza. The beer selection is ok.. (for a girl that likes pilsner or lager)... the only lager they had was a seasonal edition... so I had something else. I'm sorry for the experiences others have had regarding poor service... This is a small little cute town! The parlor has a perfect location in the little main downtown area of Exeter, CA. It's a small nook into the building, with a Ma and Pop feel. Walking in it was empty and looked very clean. Has lots of tables and seating for a small place with TV to watch sports. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Did not take long to get our pizza. Just the pizza was disappointing. The crust had no flavor and was chewy. The cheese had a very odd taste and almost a greasy plastic like texture. Just wasn't a huge fan. I have always loved the pizzas, and garlic cheese strips, but after my last visit I doubt I will be coming back anytime soon. $11 for a pitcher of PBR? Really? I can buy a 12 pack and have about $3 left over for that price. The pizza isn't cheap either, but for a good pie I can overlook that. Sadly they charge fancy pizzeria prices. great pizza, not a great price. I am a person that is willing to pay more for quality taste and OR service...but $60 dollars for 3 small pizzas and small breadsticks? Me thinks a little expensive. I got an original sourdough crust, thick crust, and stuffed. One or the other had the regular sauce and the others had the garlic alfredo style sauce. I got my order to go, and even the drive back to visalia the crust still shined...nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And the staff was outstanding!!! They were amazing and patient with me and my 2 very young boys. They even came over and gave my boys an extra slice of pizza at no charge. (We had come in at lunch time when all the high school kids come in for lunch and they sold it by the slice as well as whole pizzas ) This place is CLEAN and. Overly decorated!!
