Before we could pull off, we then heard a giant clunk and noise quieted down but didn't stop. Pulled over and found a giant hole in the front right fender (plastic directly in front of the tire). Found a local mechanic that was still open. He zip-tied things down (I mistakenly thought he only used one...) in a few minutes. There was a language barrier so I wanted to make sure I had it checked out by a highly reputable shop after we got into Layton. Found Shadetree and Ryan helped us out, inspecting the work. Said everything is good to go until we get home (about 1500 miles from now), even with potential rain. "Best possible outcome" he said and wouldn't accept any payment for his time down on the ground and talking with me. Wouldn't even accept beer money for his crew. Thank you, Ryan! Went out of my way to purchase a 5" exhaust pipe along with the adapter needed to connect it to my…read morealready cut 3.5" exhaust pipe on my 2004 LB7 Duramax after talking to these guys on the phone about what I should get to make their job easier and quicker. A couple weeks later I bring my truck in to put the 5" pipe on. I dropped it off before opening to be sure it was ready for them and I could get to work by 6:30. The appointment was at 8:00AM. I called later after opening to see how it was going and answer any questions about what I needed done, I was told "there's not a point other than looks to throw the 5" pipe on unless you go all the way from the turbo and back with a full 5" pipe and that'll cost about $1300-$1600. And we'd have to order it." Honey, it's a 6.6L turbo diesel that is axel dumping with a muffler delete. I WANT THE LOOKS! She's already loud enough. I expect you to do the service I asked you to do for the kind of money I'm paying you. (They ended up just putting my old 3.5" pipe back on anyway). I go pick up my truck after work excited to see if I made the right choice, after paying just under $400, I start the truck and I kid you not IT SOUNDS LIKE A MF TESLA!!! Hmm that's weird let me go check out this shit show I've been provided with (old 3.5" inch exhaust reattached.) (Brand new 5" pipe with the 8" chrome tip I put on it, as well as the adapter I provided you with so you idiots couldn't possibly run into issues, we're all still sitting in the bed of my truck.)
