So, I have a mixed story, if you have the time to read. The first person who helped me the first…read morefew times I went seemed amazing. He seemed like a really nice person, actually cared about me. He had run some tests just trying to diagnose my overheating issue with my car. I thought he was being really nice because he hadn't charged me anything, because he hadn't found the real cause yet. He even spent all this time trying to drive it around to recreate the issue (it stopped overheating when I brought it in of course). I would give a 5-star rating for that person individually. I don't remember his name, but he told me about how he has flown helicopters. Then there was the other guy who helped when I voluntarily brought it back. He charged me just over $100 for the previous work (even though I wasn't told about that and like I said, I had voluntarily returned so I wouldn't have been charged if I hadn't come back). I wouldn't have necessarily minded paying for the test that they ran, but I'm used to the treatment where they say "we plan to do this and it costs $x, do you want us to do that?". I am not used to the, we'll do something without asking for your approval, make it seem like we're not charging you, then suddenly spring a price on you when you decide to come back. Furthermore, his receipt was basically just a handwritten, vague note that I couldn't use at another shop because it didn't say specifically what test they ran. That seemed very unprofessional. So, I would give a 1-star rating to the person who helped me the second time and he, specifically, is the reason I left and went to Brake Time Bob instead, because I can trust him and he doesn't pull that crap on me. So, I'm not really sure how good of service they provide since I went elsewhere to fix my car (ended up being a blown head gasket). I don't know if it was like the first guy was bending the rules to be nice and the second guy was just following normal policy, but they need to be consistent about the way they treat you and charge you for services. If you go there, I would say, make them promise they won't do anything without telling you the price first.

I went to Western Auto radiator for service and glad I did. It did not cost me more for a flush than was quoted by the oil change place. I had them do thermostat too and my old car was done right. Very happy. They took extra care of me. When the work was done, the boss/owner put my car on a OBD2 scanner providing me a very helpful evaluation and advice that will keep my old car on the road. All they did was spray down the engine with water, threw a liquid in there, and barely scrubbed. They pretty much did the same thing I could have done, and I am so unhappy with how they left. They were unprofessional and I'm gonna make sure others know to never contact this place. I have had this trailer 4 years and it has been parked the majority of the time under an open shed. Powder coating is flaking off, especially off of fenders revealing rust underneath. This trailer has had light use only towing side by sides maybe 1000 Miles per year. Up until last winter it was parked under an open shed most of the year. Clearly surface prep on the fenders and tongue was inadequate.

Robin Hood is now my go-to destination for ALL my car maintenance. These guys are SO great…read more My 2014 Subaru's check engine light codes were diagnosed by both Big O plus the criminal Subaru dealership. The Subaru dealership's labor quote was more than $6,700- because they claimed they needed to pull out the whole engine out in order to fix an oil leak that was dripping on the O2 sensors. And Robin Hood Motors simply went straight to the problem and cleaned off the sensors, saving me a bundle. Pure genius. Our game plan going forward is to watch if the check engine lights ever come on again with the same issue, and at my next visit for regular oil change or tire rotation, I'll have them clean off the sensors again plus change out O-rings as preventative maintenance. Ernesto's suggestions about this were fantastic. It's so great to have this car back and running well again. I depend on this car. Ernesto and his crew are terrific, honest and smart. Highly recommend!

The tow truck driver recommended Robin Hood Motors, which I had never seen their shop as they're a little off of the path that I usually travel, but I am so glad he recommended them. I always hate dealing with car repairs, but Dexter and Ernesto helped me to make the best out of a terrible experience. They were very professional, had me laughing even though I was devastated, and did a fantastic job. The cost was 75% of what some were suggesting it would cost online when I searched for repair costs. As long as they're around, I will never take my Subaru anywhere else.
