I didn't try to get another quote, because I felt like the price ultimately was fair and did not include and unnecessary stuff like you get from shady mechanics trying to make an extra buck. It was MLK Day and I needed the car back the same day. They got it all done with time to spare. A few days later, they sent me brownies in the mail! That's never happened before. At no point did the shop proactively contact us -- we had to reach out every single time just to get basic updates. Even then, the information we were given did not match the actual timeline, and things repeatedly took longer than what we were told. To make matters worse, we were never notified when the car was finished. We only discovered it was done because we showed up in person, where it was found sitting in the parking lot. If we hadn't gone in ourselves, there's no telling how long it would have stayed there. We were also explicitly told we would receive a discount for the inconvenience, but when we checked out, no discount was applied and nothing was said about it. Between the lack of communication, misleading timelines, holding our vehicle overnight without consent or notice, and failing to honor what was promised, this shop showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We paid a significant amount of money and received poor service in return. I will not be coming back and do not recommend this place to anyone.

People they sold this place they are there to Over charge and get as much as they can from you…read morefirst time and Dont care for repeat business, worst than a dealership.... didnt fix what we brought into them lied and said they did and less than 500 feet out of there driveway problem came back (engine light) they threw new parts at issue and called it done, charge you for diagnostic but didnt really fix the issue. charge outrages labor and tool fee for diagnostic test without results. i had replaced with new the parts they did a week before, codes showed a misfire on cyl 1, the O2 sensors were giving bad voltage readings because air and fuel ratios were off from misfire, with expensive diagnostic and maybe a mech with any skill would research why but just threw new parts at one part of issue and sent it to billing, well the misfire was because roller rockers for cylinder 1 had faulted and wore down came on intake so valves weren't opening and fuel and air was mess up and Bam misfire. $900. dollars to replace 2 O2 sensors that took me 1 hour start to finish to change, This is called ripping people off.... It may have been a better place before but look out there going to get ya now....

Called them Tuesday afternoon and nothing to report. The next day Jer's called me to let me know the washer pump was cracked and it would cost $650 for the repair. I agreed with the quote and to perform the repair. The next day I received another call stating that panel tabs were breaking off during disassembly and that they were on hold until I approved the replacement part. The quote was another $400.00. I was already told the pump was cracked, so I went back to Jer's to review the new issue. During my review I could see the pump was never removed for inspection, so why tell me it's cracked? The panel did have a tab that was broken, but just knowing that I was lied to about the pump was not acceptable. I asked for my car back with no work done. I bought a new pump for $28.99 on Amazon and completed the work myself. BTW, did not remove panel, so saved another $400.

I called to ask for advice, and the team were super helpful and talked me through exactly what I needed to do in order to try and get things working - even though at that stage I wasn't a customer as my system was installed years ago in another state. Once I managed to get the vehicle drivable I went straight to their location, and they took the time to put the vehicle in valet mode for me and talked me through the possible error causes. In the end the fob was the culprit, and they ordered me a new one and paired it for me for no extra charge when it arrived. Our car was badly damaged in a recent hail storm in August. There were over 100 hail dents on it…read moreand some of them fairly deep, as we were driving it to get home and in the garage during the storm. Our insurance company (Farmers Insurance) worked directly with Carstar, which made the whole interaction very easy. They fixed every dent with Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) and did such a terrific job that it is impossible to tell that there was any damage on the car, or that any liners or panels were removed in the process. Not only was the repair job exceptional, but they washed the exterior and apparently detailed the interior during the service! Our car is the cleanest that it has been since we bought it new. The total repair (and detail) was complete in 3 business days. They started Monday morning and I got a call first thing Thursday morning that it was done... which was much faster than I had expected. J.K. dealt with us, and he was professional, straight shooting and a delight to do business with. I'm a perfectionist and hardly take my vehicles anywhere to have work on them other than tires.. but this repair was way out of my wheelhouse. I scrutinized the work done and was thrilled. It is very difficult to meet my perfectionist expectations. Carstar not only met them, but exceeded them! I would not hesitate to take my car back to them for any type of body work. While I was there, there was a car in their back lot that caught my attention... I asked J.K. if I could take a closer look. The car itself was nothing too special, but what I thought was a paint job was exceptional. J.K. quickly explained that it wasn't a paint job, but a wrap! I couldn't believe it! Even close up and touching it, I couldn't tell it was a wrap! It wasn't until J.K. opened a door to show where the wrap ended that it was evident that it was a wrap. I was astonished!
