Final finish just needs baseboard, dry and wet bona mop to clean

I considered many contractors for this job from 916 floors, Euro Flooring, Saws flooring, LJ Floors and more. But, I hired Maksym Kiporuk who goes by either Max or Kip of Kip home improvement. Max is C-15 licensed for flooring and floor covering, bonded and insured (CSLB 1114647). I found him originally on Thumbtack and came highly recommended from customers who he completed jobs for. He was new to Yelp. His pricing was very fair for the high quality of work his crew of 2 do . Max manages the quality and finish and communicates with you throughout the install process. My daughter selected Republic Brazilian Tigerwood which is an AC3 grade water resistant laminate flooring from Pro flooring in Sacramento. Kip did pass his contractor discount pricing on materials to us which was lower than the cash price a consumer would normally get otherwise. My daughter had a new construction Beazer home. He did the demo of carpet, laminate, removed baseboards and found using a Tramax style moisture meter (V1-D1). Normal reading of 12-15 in different areas, he was expecting 7 or below which is normal. So he treated the whole area with Silka MB which is a moisture barrier which turns the concrete a blue color and dries overnight. Moisture cannot come up once that is applied. It was a 4 day job. So 1 day for demo, grind. Leveling and sealer. Followed by Silka MB moisture barrier on second day. Then put down a Quietstep silver moisture barrier and laminate install over the next 2 days. The floor is floating so expect a little gap on the sides which gets covered by baseboards. His cuts and transitions from his team were good. His team cleaned up each day. Took a leaf blower and cleaned garage and driveway. They did a nice clean install. No damage to any walls or doors. They did reseat the closet doors and kindly received an Amazon package when we were kind enough to put inside a room. They caulked the gaps around the baseboards and cleaned up after themselves. Kip came the last day and made a few corrections to the caulking, cleaned, took payment and left. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kip to anyone looking for a flooring licensed contractor. His work is 5* and his team takes pride in their work. His pricing is also very fair and he passes his contractor discount on materials to you which is lower than the consumer cash price. Overall you will receive a quality install at a fair competitive price and peace of mind as he is licensed, bonded, and insured and an overall nice friendly guy as is his team.

He gave us his flooring discount at flooring liquidators and then he installed it.

Found Kip on Next Door after being overwhelmed with so many flooring companies and am so glad we went with him! He was the most reasonable quote and he did an amazing job, and we love our floors! He was very clean and fast. He has one other person he works with and I can't rave about them enough. Absolutely give them a call!

We were impressed with Flavia's knowledge and professionalism when she came to review the project for the estimate. She asked questions to understand our needs and wants. She patiently listened and answers our questions. During the installation, Flavia came out a few times to ensure everything was going well. She also helped find just the right transition pieces to work with the existing flooring outside the baths. The installation was a two day process. It went very smoothly and was handled in a way that caused the least amount of disruption for us. Our installer was skilled and did a great job not only with the tile, but with new baseboard and a new toilet installation in one of the baths. He was great to work with. Flavia came out one last time after the installation to ensure everything was good and that we were happy with the result. Pro Floors' cost estimate was in the middle of the three estimates we received. But, our choice was based more on our experience during the initial visit than anything else. We were not disappointed. We are very happy with the quality work and service we received, and definitely got our money's worth.

The quote process was efficient and painless. The installation team was courteous and conscientious. They made the removal of old carpet and tile painless - it was all gone in 1 morning, ready for new wood floor installation. They were able to put floor balancing material and moisture barrier the same day. They worked with us on a tricky moulding situation in our kitchen that allowed us to have a seemless look throughout our home. In one day, the team was able to install all the floors and baseboards with amazing speed - moving our washer and dryer (and replacing it too!). The final product was PERFECTLY installed. The quote matched the payment and we are very satisfied with the price and end product. We highly recommend the entire team at Pro Floors.

The work turned out beautifully, the quality was excellent, and the team completed everything efficiently. Don, the project manager, was communicative, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. Their pricing was also very fair and competitive. Compared with the other estimates I received, NG Floors was easily the best value for the money. My uncle, who is a general contractor, was pleasantly surprised by how great of a deal I received. I also really appreciated their flexibility with financing. At the time, they did not have an established financing partner, but after I asked about financing options, they went out of their way to build a relationship with a lending bank so I could finance my project. That level of effort meant a lot to me. I would definitely use NG Floors again for future projects, especially now that I know they handle home remodeling in addition to flooring. Thanks, Don!

He arrived and talked through our options with us and got back to us in a reasonable time to schedule & get to work. We had a quote from another floor guy but we really liked Josh & his quote was great so we were in. The work itself took about a day a half and the patchwork was seamless. He was able to reuse many of the floor pieces to fix the main areas and we are now off to get the remaining bedroom carpeted. We woulda went with him for this as well but that was outside of his scope. Nevertheless the job was done below budget and quickly might I add. He also fixed a linen cabinet that had been removed due to the water damage. He was meticulous and thorough in cutting and replacing the baseboards as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not find a better price for such high quality of work. Thank you, Josh's Flooring!

Great work overall, with some caveats…read more Denis and his team performed excellent work installing new LaVie laminate flooring throughout our 1300 sq ft single story house, all at a very good price. It has been quite a few months now and I can't say I've noticed any issues at all with the quality of the installation. I personally was very impressed with how well they managed to get everything to-spec in-spite of our foundation being very non-flat. Rectifying this required a little more time and money, but this was well within our expectations given the existing state of our floor. We stayed in a hotel for four nights while work was being done, with work concluding close to midnight on the night we returned. Prior to install, we moved most of our belongings to our garage and let the installation team handle moving larger appliances and furniture pieces as they worked. That said, there were a few hiccups. The most alarming issue we noticed the morning after we returned home was the presence of work materials scattered throughout our front yard. In-addition to trim pieces and leftover chunks of floor leveler, the most concerning findings included about a half-dozen razor blades, a few reciprocal saw heads, and over a dozen cigarette butts. While Denis did offer to have his team return to perform clean-up after I raised this concern, I decided to act quickly on my own to resolve this in-order to prevent injury to my kids and/or neighbors' dogs. We have also noticed small locations of damage to interior paint, as well as some sort-of hard metal/saw residue on our guest bathroom toilet near one of the bolts where the toilet attaches to the floor. While some of the touch-up work, while annoying, won't be that difficult to fix ourselves, your mileage may vary and is something you have to take into account before approving work. As-of this writing, I have no clue if the toilet can be restored; it's mostly inconspicuous and not the end of the world, but still unfortunate. All things considered, I would consider using Radix Flooring again, but probably only after moving-out of or before moving-into a dwelling, and only after comparing quotes from flooring companies who offer detailed cleaning as part of their contract. I would also beware if you're fussy about your lawn. We fortunately aren't lawn aficionados, so there was no lasting damage from the debris, but the crew needs a work area on your property to cut material and it will be up to you to contend with the state of your manicured lawn after everything is complete.

We then returned and spent another $4,000 on carpeting for just one room and a closet, spending over $11,000 here in total. Before our flooring purchase, Trixie told us that unused, unopened boxes could be returned with a 25% restocking fee. The store came to our home twice and measured our floors, yet we ended up with two extra unopened boxes. When we tried to return one, Trixie told us for the first time that there was a five-box minimum and pointed to the contract. That may be what the contract says, but it is NOT what she represented to us when we made the purchase. Customers should be able to rely on what a salesperson tells them. But also, she stated that they try to overestimate the quantity as a favor to their customers by a few boxes. Why weren't we told this beforehand and if so, why didn't the over estimate by at least 5 boxes so there's an opportunity to return unused boxes. Seems to me like a scam to require their customer to buy a few more boxes than needed to line their pockets. What is especially disappointing is the complete lack of customer appreciation after spending over $11,000 here. We were actually planning to return and replace the carpeting throughout our entire second floor. After being treated this way, we will absolutely take that business elsewhere. They were sweet as pie when they wanted our money, but the customer service changed once they had it. We will not be returning. Take your business elsewhere, where your money and your patronage will be treated with appreciation and respect. BTW, Floor & Decor does not charge a restocking fee and has no minimum box requirement return, and they're just down the street.
