Love the designs but feel it was kind of pricey for the vases I ordered since not all of the glassware that were shipped to me were even.

We own multiple sets of KINTO's CAST double wall glasses in different sizes, and three of them have now failed the exact same way: the seal breaks and water gets permanently trapped between the walls, ruining the glass. This isn't one bad unit. It's a pattern across separate sets, which points to a real manufacturing defect. What's worse is KINTO's warranty only covers six months from the order date, which isn't nearly enough time for a defect like this to even show up through normal use. When we reached out, they simply pointed to the expired window and declined to help. We really wanted to love these glasses. The design is beautiful but if you're considering buying, know that the double wall seals don't seem built to last, and the warranty won't protect you once they fail. Buy with caution. read more

So excited to visit the Kinto store on 05/09/2026! I've been searching for cast beer glass and so happy to purchase it in store. I forgot the guy's name who helped me and my boyfriend but they were very kind and polite. They gave a heads up to us and other customers that they were going to close the store briefly to go to use the restroom and will shortly come back to reopen. Which we understood and made our way to purchase. There was a group people who walked in and the customer service worker informed the same notice. The group heard the notice and agreed. However, while I was getting ringed up for my purchase, one of the guys in the group said a rude comment as they the exited the store. The guy said, "Have a nice sh*t". The customer service worker kept it professional despite the unnecessary remark. They politely informed everyone and have the right to use the restroom. On a busy Saturday due to a pop up, I recommend management to have 2 employees work on a shift to avoid rude customers in this situation. There was only one person working and they did not deserve that comment. Overall, I used my new cast beer glass 15 oz for my iced shaken espresso and it's the perfect size and simply beautiful! read more

I would look them up on their website, but there are too many products. They have some expensive and then some affordable alternatives at the store. The store layout is simple, and all home goods are laid out on tables with QR codes that take you to their online catalog of that specific line of products. But I recommend calling them if you want a product in-store. I wanted a bowl, and they were sadly sold out of it. I would not recommend KINTO to anyone. I really wanted to like the brand as I am a huge fan of minimalist aesthetics, however after I ordered 4 items on their website and never received my items, I reached out to Kinto customer service and they were not helpful at all. It was extremely hard to contact them and once they finally responded, they did not care that their items were never delivered to me. A cute Japanese shop in ROW DTLA! It's crazy that EVERYTHING is aesthetic and minimal. They primarily have ceramics, utensils, and glassware. Great for amplifying your kitchen decor or getting some new practical pieces for your home. They have tea sets that are great for single use. There's also adorable kid's utensils, sippy cups, and dinner sets! Everything seems to be on the pricey side from what I saw, so keep that in mind if you have a budget. I've been a long time fan of Kinto products. Clean, minimalistic, and beautifully created dinnerware, cups, mugs and more. You can order most of their items online, but if you're one who needs to see and feel an item before purchasing, stop by the only Kinto store in the US (for now). While they don't carry their entire catalog in the store, they have a good amount for basic dinnerware. Just be warned that you may want to come out with everything. Parking is super easy...just park in the parking structure for The Row! read more

I was greeted warmly and was real impressed with w quality and variety of the smallwares that were displayed. when I walked in, I had no intention of purchasing anything, but after seeing what they had, I ended up buying a variety of items to give gifts. Update: Following a conversation with KINTO, they've let me know the store will be open during lunch hours and other people who choose to go should find the store open during posted hours. I love KINTO products, but the store is managed pretty poorly. The hours are inconsistent. If you're interested and decided to go during their business hours, they may be open and they may not. It just depends on when they felt like taking lunch or any other trivial reason that they might need to lock the door. Additionally, if you're going because you love their products and want to buy them, you'll be wasting your time. This is only a showroom. The company itself has a website where their products are widely available. The store doesn't or barely carries any stock and won't help you order anything you do like. The existence of this showroom is pretty pointless. Been here 2x and each time they're closed even though the hours say otherwise. Finally got in while it opened on Saturday around 4pm and had my eyes set some dish ware. Went up to purchase it but the cashier paid no attention, he was an older man who was chatting it up with two ladies. They weren't making any purchases but we're talking about their vacations. I politely waited for 5 minutes but the cashier didn't even look up to acknowledge or a "I'll be right with you" or even a smile. I left disappointed but glad I didn't spend any money there. Be warned, their "black" plates are unequivocally midnight blue, and Kinto's customer service (Sydney Rodriguez was my rep) gaslit me on the color and was not interested in generating any goodwill around this issue. I ordered a set of "black" dish-ware. When they arrived I assumed I bought the wrong color and we unpacked them. Didn't have time on the spot to deal; went out of town a couple days later. When i returned I revisited my receipt and saw I did in fact purchase black plates. I reached out legitimately curious and Kinto's only response was that "this collection is hand-made and natural variations may occur from each production" - that's a real reach especially at this price point. They gaslit me on the color, and held no accountability for the issue. I was never expecting a refund and didn't plan to bother making a return at that point but some accountability or make-good would've been in good form and goes a long way from a customer service standpoint -- discount code, credit, accountability, etc. Literally anything. Not totally clear how in good conscious a company sells items that come out in the wrong color and the response is to manipulate that flaw to defend their superior process. But that tells me everything I need to know about the company's morals. read more

My friend bought some coffee cups that I loved, so I ordered six for myself. Problem was that I ordered at 2:00AM and was so tired I selected the wrong size. I tried to change the order and was told, "No, we can't change or cancel orders, you'll have to return them". I received them, filled out the return form and was contacted by customer service telling me they would have to "review and approve the return". Interestingly Kinto's return policy states that you can return items up to 30 days after purchase, no mention of approvals. Anyway, I corresponded with customer service and told the that I just want to get the correct size cups and exchange each item 1 for 1. The person confirmed that is what I was looking to do. Later that day I received another message telling me that, "we don't do exchanges, you'll have to drive to our LA store and exchange in person. Why didn't they tell me that in the first place? What a waste of time and money. Kinto's customer service contact form tells you to be polite. I think I know why that message is there. It's because Kinto isn't that helpful or polite and their emotes probably get yelled at for giving people the run around. Kinto reminds me of a good older fashioned used car dealership. I do not recommend buying anything from them. If you do and run i to issues, do not expect help from them..... you most likely will not get it. read more

Do not order from this brand online. Their customer service and return of defective products is absurd. I contacted them the day of delivery to inform them of a defective item. Then they asked for a picture as proof (as if I couldn't identify a defect). I provided it. Then they asked me to confirm my address. I confirmed it. Now they are sending me a label so I can send back the defective item. Once returned they will process my order for a replacement item. People really do not have time to jump though hoops for a $50 carafe. And follow 10 steps to receive a non-defective product. If you want something retuned. Let's start with that. Kinto is a wonderful find hidden in the distant, unexplored retail wastelands of The Row DTLA, which, years after several prominent businesses have come and gone (Hawkins New York, M. Georgina, Poketo, the notorious Tartine debacle), remains the Tristan da Cunha of L.A. retail. What remains are stores selling overpriced nonsense (artisanal baby clothes, bottles of perfume costing more than the annual income of 95% of sub-Saharan Africa) that no one really needs. But Kinto is a surprise: Its handsome housewares that are made in Japan are not on functional, they're also surprisingly affordable. Okay, yes ― plates and cups made in China are much cheaper. But then, plates and cups made in China are also... much cheaper. Most items at Kinto have no price tag, which worried me. (We all know the infamous saying about prices and "If you have to ask...") But the stacking stoneware coffee mugs were just $12.50; a large glazed bowl was $28. And so on. I don't need new ceramics, which is why I had to hustle out of their quickly: The pieces at Kinto are really lovely and obviously well-made at prices that aren't jaw-dropping. This is definitely somewhere to head for weddings, housewarmings, or other gifting occasions, as well as one's own household needs. I bought espresso cups and have literally dropped them on the floor mutiple times and they didnt break. I was super impressed as well as relieved because they are my favorite cups. Don't purchase from Kinto USA. On 5/27/24, I purchased the blue 950ml water bottle from the Kinto USA website. Once I received it, I quickly realized that it was a plastic bottle and not glass, which I expected. I then realized that the website seems to intentionally not clarify that they're selling just another plastic bottle albeit a lightweight one. The website doesn't provide any details about what the bottle is made of, though the bottle appears to be something other than just more plastic. So on 6/5/24, right after receiving it, I completed a request through their website to return the bottle and repacked the item awaiting word to be able to return it. Yes, the purchaser must ASK permission to return an item to Kinto USA. SMH. That was my second clue about this company that I, unfortunately, ignored. On 6/6/24 I received an email approving my return. On 6/13/24, I paid to return the bottle via UPS. I returned it using the exact same box and packaging the plastic bottle came in. It arrived to the Kinto address on 6/18/24, and finally, on 7/1/24, I received an email from them saying that my return "has been declined" because "item arrived damaged." They have ignored all my email requests for proof of this "damage" or even details about said "damage." How can a plastic bottle in a well-protected box--the same exact packaging and box they used to send it to me--result in their light bottle becoming "damaged?" At least with proof, I can seek redress from UPS possibly. This was the last clue that Kinto USA is not a company with integrity. Additionally, in hindsight I realize that there are no customer reviews on the Kinto USA website. No one can leave a review, which is weird and disturbing. So I recommend staying away. read more
