I wish every service company operated like Napolitano Heating and Air Conditioning.  I have a 7…read moreyear old Navien tankless water heater that was beginning to worry me.  Some of the parts on the manifold became corroded and I got nervous traveling on vacation with the concern I'd come home to a flooded basement.  Navien stopped manufacturing the manifold. How a 7 year old part can be considered obsolete, doesn't speak well of Navien, but that's another issue. I was told by a prior Navien certified plumber that I should replace the unit for 10k or he could try to custom build the manifold, however the plumber didn't exude the confidence that Mike did and his quote was also a lot higher than Napolitano's.  Once hired, Mike was a man on a mission.  He not only rebuilt the manifold, he made it look easy (trust me it was not) and on top of this, he was meticulous, kind and patient.  Prior to leaving he noticed a problem on my baseboard bleeders and replaced them for a nominal fee. My heater is working like a charm, I am very pleased. I trust Mike implicitly with heating and air conditioning systems, he's done a couple of repairs on my aging system always for a fair price.

Cunningham quoted me significantly lower than other companies and the workers were great. I recently had them come back to do a repair on my thermostat, and while they were here we discovered an issue with my heating system. Will and Rob came and were quick and very friendly. The tech wrote on the invoice that they would be back in 2 days. That day came and nobody reached out or showed up so I called the office. I didn't hear back for almost 2 hours and I was told they were actually coming the following day. I waited again and Chris said IF he gets to me, it would be late in the day. Again, nobody showed up or contacted me. Meanwhile, I was emptying buckets of water every few hours and could not be away from my house long in case the buckets filled up. The next day I called a competitor and they came within a few hours. I'm really disappointed in the lack of communication. If you didn't want to do the work or couldn't get to it, you could have just told me.

Being new home owners we tried everything to get our heat to kick in. We even had another company come prior to Jen Air and they only resolved one issue. We continued to have issues with no heat. We contacted Jen air and Josh was sent over to assist. Not only did he walk us through what we needed to do for maintenance but he doubled check everything before he left. Fast forward a few months in, I noticed a leak coming from my office ceiling fan. We reached out to Jen Air again and requested Josh. He showed up, on time and resolved the issues. No more leaks, pipes were sealed and I can run my air conditioning without being nervous that I'd damage my ceiling. Thank you again to Josh for being knowledgeable and professional. My upstairs zone AC air handler stopped working during this crazy September heat wave with temps consistently in the 90s all week. Called for an emergency service repair to try to get me up and running. They were able to squeeze me in only 2 hours after calling. Service call rate was extremely reasonable (half the price of others I called that weren't able to get to me for at least a day - even as an "emergency"). Inspected my condenser coil and pressure, air handler coil, and blower motor. Diagnosed blower motor control unit on the fritz / starting to fail, combined with super high head pressure due to clogged condenser unit coil. Was able to get me back up and running cleaning coil and jump starting blower motor within 30 minutes and unit cooling much better than it was before to hopefully get me through this heat wave before cooler fall temps come back. While they were here they were able to measure and run some calculations to put together an estimate for me to convert my upstairs zone over to a ducted heat pump setup, relocating my air handler for my second story upstairs zone to my attic from my basement and better plenum / air box design to help resolve lack of airflow issues also contributing to inefficient cooling upstairs vs replacing the blower motor in a 12 year old unit as a cheaper option. With that said service rep was very knowledgeable and transparent regarding the different options and cost effectiveness. Never felt like I was being pressured or sold in any direction, only given details to make an informed decision. Hoping when I get the estimate back to convert this zone to heat pump, taking advantage of various rebates (federal and state / PSEGLI as they are an approved contractor for utility rebates to stack), alongside attractive financing options to help with monthly budget crunch due to overall inflation from pandemic, that will be able to upgrade and save money in the long term vs trying to keep my 12 year old less efficient Rheem system running. Definitely going to continue to use Central air systems for service and preventative maintenance going forward! I will provide an update once I have the heat pump installed, but given my extremely positive service experience, hopeful that value on install and overall performance is also a 5 star experience. I went from one zone of central air and converted it to 2 zones with ac and heat. To say it has been a disaster has been an understatement. When they put the new system in I told them of a particular room that didn't stay as cool as the rest of the house. They said they would make sure to take care of it. Well the new system actually works worse than my 20 year old single zone system. A few highlights On one hot day the thermostat upstairs is set at 68. My sons room is well over 73 degrees The hot room that was a problem is 74-75 degrees on hot days even though my thermostat is set at 68. The basement renovation they decided to put only one vent all the way on the back by the Bilco door. In the winter the basement is 61 degrees while the thermostat is set at 70 on the first floor. They had to come out here 4 times before they realized they wired the system incorrectly when they installed it I don't expect exact temperature match with the thermostats in every room. But when I drop 40k plus a new system it should be pretty damn close. They often send guys out and say they will come back or talk to the owner about the problem. They never do. Stay far away
