I got the kinnaree noodles and also the pad Thai. I was not impressed by either. The kinnaree noodles gave me very bad indigestion and my brother didn't particularly enjoy the pad Thai. That said the crispy noodles were intriguing, but didn't pack the punch I was hoping for. Gave it a shot based on the Yelp reviews. Questioning the rating system Yelp uses now. read more

So far - not so good. I've been meaning to try their food but decided to stop in the other night to try their bubble tea and was not happy with what I received. it took them quite a while to make it but when it came out it tasted like it was made from powder and was almost inedible. I was very disappointed because most places in the city have mastered the bubble tea. I'm still looking to come back and try the food though, can't give up on them yet. read more

Great food down the street from work. They were quick with pick up and COVID guidelines were followed. The food was delicious and hot when I picked it up, as if they just pulled it off the grill. Would highly recommend the Pad Thai. read more

Ate here with a group of six the other night and it took almost 3 hours for all of our food to come out. There was no one else in the restaurant, but for a small family of 3 (who were already eating when we arrived) and maybe four pick up orders went out while we sat. The strangest part was that every dish came out at a different time. It was as if they only had one cook and he couldn't turn over more than one dish at a time... the point is not only did it take 3 hours for the food to come out, all of us received entrees 15 to 20 minutes apart. It seemed like they had to be short staffed - I can't think of why else it would be like this - but the server never mentioned it. The food was fine. read more

In the COVID-19 pandemic, Kinnaree has managed to make consistently delicious food that has been a source of comfort to us. Their vegetarian options are very good and the non-spicy options are very kid-friendly--especially the pad Thai with extra vegetables. My spouse and I like the level of spice in the green curry. Their fresh rolls are also delicious! It's just a hole-in-the-wall, but pick up is easy and safely done. Highly recommend that you try this place if you haven't already!! read more

We had tix to the regal theater down the road for a later show because the one earlier was sold out and we were starving. Yelped a few places and thought we'd wall to this place because it had good reviews and we needed something quick. I went to DePaul for undergrad and could tell as soon as I walked in that it was a bit of a college joint, which was no issue. There were 2 tables with patrons and someone waiting for a pickup. Let me preface that we went in about 8:10 and our movie started at 10:00. We thought it was going to be enough time, honestly it doesn't take long for Thai food to come out..EVER! we ordered egg rolls to start, I got the pad kew mao and the bf got the kinnaree noodles. The egg rolls came out 25 min after we ordered and we had 2 bites of the entrees and had to pack it to go because it came out so late and we were about to miss out show. By this time it was about 9:40. Egg rolls came out piping hot and was good. Mine was freshly made and was better than most I've had around the area. The bfs noodles were a bit too sweet, tasted like a sweet and sour sauce and the noodles were fried like rice noodles fried for Chinese dishes which we didn't expect. We weren't the only ones, the other. Table received their order late and the take out order was legitamately there for 40 min because the order was mixed up. The food was good and owners were nice, but the service was a bit lacking. Their daughter who was about 14 took out order and then disappeared when the father showed up. Think it's a team of a husband and wife, but they may want to consider hiring a person to help w phones and take some burden off tending to the tables. read more

We tried this place for lunch today. We have never had Thai food before and their lunch specials were perfect for us since we got to try a few dishes for $8 each (comes with a personal appetizer). I had the chicken garlic dish and it was delicious. Date got the pork pad Thai and he enjoyed it although we did not know it would be sweet. We ordered delivery. Panang curry was below average, lacking in that authentic taste that I crave in Thai curry. Egg rolls were soggy. Crab Rangoon was okay, average. Pad woon sen (spicy) was the best thing we ordered and that was just okay but it had a good spicy kick which I liked. I stopped in this place for lunch. They have a special lunch menu which is a pretty good deal. I had the Pad Thai and pot stickers for $8. The food was below average. The most outstanding Thai food in Chicago!! I will be back again and again. Started with fried Shu Mai dumplings- so tasty and great dipping sauces. The chicken Pad Khee Mao was delicious and had just the right amount of spice. The chicken Pad Thai was easily the best I've ever had. We signed our check and were given some complimentary fresh watermelon. Ordered some amazing sticky rice and mango to go. All for about $33! That's my kind of meal. If I could give this place a zero I would. My friend and I went and we were excited to try it given the reviews! There were two other people in the restaurant. It took over an hour for our food and I got my meal 25 minutes before my friends meal came. The food was ok but not worth that wait what so ever. There was no apologizing or any discount to our bill. This place is decent!!! I'm so happy we live just across the street. I had the pad kee Mao yesterday and it was amazing. Today we ordered the garlic chicken and green curry with beef. Everything was so good. I'm a fun of mango sticky rice and it really surprised me. The mango were so soft and fresh. Will come here more often!!! read more

This was a nice spot to get delivery from but was a little disappointed. We LOVED the Pannang Curry and the Larb was nice but we're a little put off by the Kinnaree noodles dish. It had rave reviews on here and we thought since it shared the name of the restaurant that it would be extra tasty; in reality it was soggy wontons with hot sauce, broccoli, shrimp and tofu. May or may not try it again but I suggest not getting that dish, it 'dampened' our experience. read more

Most people seemed to either order take out or delivery but I decided to try dining in after reading some reviews. KTK seems to be a family owned and operated restaurant. The food had so much flavor (sorry I started eating before I remembered to take pictures). Spicy and non-spicy options were ordered. Portions were very generous. Presentation was lovely. The appetizers, salad and entrees were brought to the table with enough time to finish each plate before the next one arrived. It isn't good. I got Panang curry, Papaya Salad and Crab Rangoon. The Crab Rangoon was nothing but cream cheese, the panang was very watery. I ordered it Medium and still it was very bland. I was really excited about trying Kinnaree. The reviews were really good and I've been trying to find a new go-to Thai place. Everything I got was mediocre.
