Thai Iced Tea

We were craving Thai food and this place was delicious. It was filled with flavors and service was quick. The crab Rangoon came out nice and hot and the sauce was tangy. I had the pad se lew and it was good and if you add the chili sauce which also had a tangy taste it made it spicy and good. The curry was amazing that had a spicy kick to it. Great place we some quick Thai food and had so many options to choose from. The Thai tea really hit the spot and was a great addition to our food.

Happy this place was open later than a few others on the street - dropped by and got sat immediately. We started with the fresh spring rolls. We had no idea this is what to expect, but this was not it. The sliced rolls were drowned in very very sweet sauce. We both could barely eat it. Then I had the Pad Paak Roum Mit with chicken and my husband had a noodle dish. Mine was decent but not spicy enough for me personally. I think they mixed up our spice order cause my husband's noodles were spicier even though I ordered mine hotter. The noodle dish had some kind of weird aftertaste that made it also hard to eat. His had way more chicken though so that was nice. All and all it's an ok experience for us.

Stopped in on a weekday around 7pm. The place was fairly empty, but seemed like a good amount of take out orders. The place is pretty cute and more spacious than expected. Cool decor. The service was quick, but not very friendly. My friend and I both thought the waitress seemed very cold. The food, on the other hand, was amazing. It came out fast and was absolutely delicious! Portions are generous too and lots of protein included. I had the pad Thai with tofu. I wish they did steamed tofu since it's less rubbery and reheats better, but the dish was great. It's a bit on the sweet side, but their hot sauce helps a lot!

It's always an enjoyable time every time I visit Opart. I'm sad the location on Chicago Ave is the only location left. Their Tiger Cry is a must try there!! It's like heaven on earth with a bowl of rice too! The servers are always friendly.

Came to this establishment on a Tuesday night for dinner. We did not have a reservation and was able to be seated quickly. The service is really fast and the establishment is clean. They do not serve alcohol here, but the restaurant is BYOB. We were unaware of this so my husband quickly walk to the wine shop, which was less than a quarter mile away. By the time he returned, our food was on the table. For food I ordered noodles and my husband order a beef broccoli dish. The food was OK. It came out fresh and hot, but I felt like it lacked seasoning. We did enjoy the appetizer and liked the total pricing for our meal. The service was fine. It wasn't overly friendly and it wasn't bad. Just regular service. All in all, it was a nice meal, but I'm not sure if I'll come back .

This was my first time here and it was pretty busy for a Sunday evening. We started with the wonton soup and crab Rangoon. The broth tasted fresh and was full of wontons. The crab rangoons were crispy and had a really nice filling. We also had the curry and pad see ew. The curry I was nice, and came with rice. The noodles were okay in my opinion, there was something off about it. Service was quick and kind.

Great flavors! Appetizers were phenomenal. I ordered a drunken noodles with chicken which was pretty good. Panang curry and spicy tofu were my favorites. Service was a bit slow but good made up for it.

Ordered: - tiger cry - side of rice - crab Rangoons This is the best tiger cry I've had in the city. It was perfectly cooked - wasn't tough and was flavorful. Their dipping sauce has a kick to it but I also don't really eat spicy food haha. I'll be coming back to try other dishes. Crab Rangoons were worth the price you pay with the quantity provided. They're filled up well but it was sweeter than other crab Rangoons I've had and didn't have quite the balance of crab and cream cheese I was looking for. Their spice levels goes from 1 - 7 so would recommend to all the spicy food lovers to try this place out.

We used to have an Opart Thai here in Lincoln Square a mile or so away, but it's been replaced by another Thai restaurant. When a friend suggested we get together for lunch and gave me the choice between two Thai places, it was an easy decision. I hadn't been to this location before but missed the food (I don't think I've had it since before the pandemic) and was excited to have her try it for the first time. There was only one or two tables occupied the whole time we were here, but we were also here midday on Saturday two days before Christmas, so I'm not sure it's always like that. There were several takeout orders that passed through whilst we were here. They have the items numbered if it helps to order that way (it does me, since I am not familiar with name of the dishes). I ordered my favorite, pad kra praow. This dish is basil and peppers mixed with meat of your choice; I get the chicken with this dish. You also get to choose your spice level, and in the past I've gotten the "very hot" level. This time, when she asked how spicy, we could choose from 1-7 and we both chose 7... that was hotter than would order in future, and her too. I think 5 would have been a better level. On the other hand, ordering it so hot meant that I needed to dilute the heat with more rice, so it went further (my silver lining for ordering so hot!). I took most of it home and when I reheated it a little of it went a LONG way, but luckily I had some egg nog at home to drink with it that took some of the edge off the heat! I will definitely return to Opart, and now that I know it's here I might pick up sometime if I'm nearby. I'm surprised I didn't already realize it was here... or if I did, I forgot... because I've picked up from Carbon a few blocks away, as well as Fry the Coop and Standing Passengers which are both about a block from here. Parking wasn't bad at all when we stopped in--we were both able to find a spot on either Ashland or Chicago right in front of the place. Both streets are metered.

Opart Thai House is nice for a casual, authentic meal. The ambiance gives off a warm mood and tables are somewhat close together. The basil fried rice with chicken was decently spicy (we got medium) but tasty. The chicken is ground into small pieces rather than the typical bite-sized ones. The peanut chicken dish was really good and was more flavorful. For dessert, we had a fried banana pastry that was described as a spring roll type dish on the menu. On the inside of the shell, there was banana and cream cheese, and on the outside, there was honey and sesame seeds. It was also pretty good but the serving came with two but one is sufficient per person.

we ordered a couple different curries and some smaller plates via takeout. everything was packaged perfectly for transport and arrived quickly, the correct temperature, with zero mess! both curries were tasty but maybe lacked a bit of depth and came with rice, with a decent size serving for one person. i also felt the spice level was very on par with what i expected. the cucumber salad was a little too sweet for my taste, so i added a splash of rice wine vinegar and felt satisfied. i also thought the moo ping had good flavor, but the meat itself was just a little dry. all in all, i would likely order here again but next time will probably want to venture to a noodle or rice dish to see how they compare.

Solid Thai food. Pretty quiet on weekdays so easy to walk in. Spice level is lower than what you think.

Tom Yum Kai Soup. Thai Iced Tea. Pad Kra Praow. Tofu and veggies. All are a 10/10!

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!
