Ordered take out. It was ready right on time. Will definitely be back to dine in. Portions were large and the food was yummy. I thought the doyley in the take out box was a very cute touch

This is out of our way but for the drive it's worth it. But not somewhere I would think of all the time. The prices are fair and nice variety. The portions are good if you aren't sharing with a big group. The pad Thai with tofu was tasty but I thought there should be peanuts but it didn't have any. The pad see ewe is good and more flavorful than the pad Thai. The place is small and simple. Not fancy but friendly staff. Would come back if in the area.

Price is good for the amount of food. Though it looks much bigger if fine in than takeout Love the basil duck, really strong basil flavor. But the mild spicy is pretty spicy already Pork and bean stir fry: kinda sweet chewy pork, not bad Fried chicken wings are really crispy and without the ridiculous dough wrapped around like other places

08/31/24 - My wife's niece had a baby 08/13. Last night I was going to my nieces house. My niece, her husband & mother, my wife her 2 brothers, & sister in law were all there. They had not eaten dinner so I checked on Yelp for a restaurant close to where I was. I found Siam Noodle & Rice @ 4142 N Broadway. With the help of Mee I ordered a number of dishes for the family starting w/ * Fried Tofu (Mehhh nothing to write home about) * Chicken Satay w/peanut sauce * Chicken Pad Thai (we enjoyed the chicken Pad Thai) * Shrimp Thai Fried Rice (tasty) * Beef Kee Mao (my favorite dish w/fat rice noodles & beef) * Basil Duck (pieces of duck served over white rice) Unfortunately some of the family members can't eat spicy food so all of the dishes were toned down to a milder level. Mee was very helpful

The food was really delicious! The seafood rolls was were crispy and fresh and the noodles were soft and a great comfort food. The price was great for the quantity of food you got. Definitely one of the more affordable places. The noodle dishes can easily be split into 2 servings. The curry dishes are a bit smaller and more like a 1 serving dish. The restaurant was nice and clean, and the service there was friendly! It was a smaller eating area so anywhere you sat you had a view to the outside.

Excellent food, friendly service, fair prices, what more could you want? We came on a weekday for lunch and there were lots of locals dining in. It's a very casual place, and the food is definitely the star. Service was fast. My favorite dish was the basil duck. Everything was tasty and came out piping hot. I do wish their panang curry came with some veggies to go along with the meal, but the curry itself was very flavorful. There's a small parking lot outside the restaurant. I imagine street parking would be a bit limited during peak hours.

My daughter and I had just dropped our cats off in the area to be groomed and were looking for a place nearby to have lunch while we waited. I looked up this place and was thrilled to find my friend Gerry's 5-star review! We love Thai and us place did not disappoint. We had steamed potstickers to start, then my daughter had the rice noodle soup with beef and I had the Panang curry with chicken. Everything was excellent. I've had Panang curry from numerous places and I must say this was the most flavorful! I'm so glad we found this place. Will totally be worth the 30-40 minute drive from our suburb.

How have I not written a review for Siam Noodle?? I've been coming here since 1995 (original location was on Sheridan) and was introduced to this gem of a restaurant by my best friend during grad school. I have loved this place ever since and this is one of my go-tos whenever we're visiting Chicago. Here's our standard order. These are winners. Every. Single. Time. Chive dumplings Extra orders of fried dried beef and sticky rice with their perfect dipping sauce (If anyone figures out the exact recipe for their dipping sauce, please let me know. I could eat that sauce alone over rice any day of the week). Tod mun (fish cakes) Chicken basil over rice medium Lad nar Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea Other dishes are also excellent, but these are our faves. Also, the staff is the best!!! Super warm, friendly, and very welcoming.

We came here on the suggestion of an acquaintance. It seems casual but can get full, so we made a reservation. They are BYOB NO charge! Excellent. We ate family style mostly (it was not my red meat day) and had potstickers, fried rice, and various other dishes (see below). They are very smart to have a menu with numbers next to the food so they don't have to hear people butcher the language. I enjoyed everything and took some stuff home. The tofu with greens and gravy was especially good, and it's hard to mess up egg rolls. The service was friendly and efficient, and even the owner/manager stopped by! I like when that happens, but my acquaintance is a long time customer so maybe that was why? It is not a big place but we had a decent crowd for a Tues/Wed. Either they were out of dessert or we just craved something else because we did not order any. Next time, something sweet is coming!

Panang Curry

This is one of the best Thai places in Chicago! I have been here 6+ times and the food is always consistent without fail. It always has the right balance of savory, umami, sweetness and acidity as well as fresh herbs and crunchy texture like peanuts to round out the experience. I love the pad thai, panang curry, green curry, and Tom kha Kai! You name it, they have it! Highly recommend!

Ordered for takeout on Friday. It took about 20 minutes, and they were just finishing it up as I got there so everything was hot and fresh. It stayed that way for the 5 minute drive back home. We ordered the basil duck, deep fried chicken, crab rangoon, and Pad Prig Khing with Roast Pork. The crab rangoon was a bit different from the kind you normally find at restaurants. I'm not sure if I would say it seemed homemade, but they definitely at least use a unique supplier for it. The shell was nice and crispy, and the flavor was just ok. The deep fried chicken was quite good. Fried without any thick batter or breading, it was still really crispy, and the flavor was great. The basil duck and the pad prig khing but had good flavor, but I was a little disappointed by the portion size for the price. Compared to similar restaurants it was really not very much. Definitely enough to be full for one meal, but usually we like to have leftovers when we do takeout. Overall it was a good trip. I think they definitely deserve their good reviews, and I plan to go back and try some other things.

This place is definitely a hidden gem, but I love how authentic they keep the Thai cuisine. It's really, really good--never been disappointed. I enjoy eating here because it has such a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff is always willing to explain the dishes if you're unsure about something.

Food was decent, service lacking. Place was unkept. It's a fan fav for many but there are way better Thai places in that area.

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!
