My favorite to-go spot. Love their pad thai with tofu sooo much. It's a consistently amazing quality - which is why I order time and time again. It's the perfect amount of zing with the lemon and the peanuts aren't overpowering. I also don't get sick from the rice noodles or sauce (celiac.) Their thai tea is also super good!!! The delivery is always a bit late but the drivers are sooo nice and I have so much respect for them biking in the wind and rain ! I want to eat in person some day. read more

OMG the worst Thai food I ever had. The food cooking technique they used was "tossed trash" Mango Salad: It was SO SPICY not regular Thai spicy but tear your a new one spicy. Special Pad Thai: Reeked of overcooked eggs smothered in vinegar. There was no color at all OVERCOOKED (see picture) Bangkok Fried Rice: It wasn't fried it was BURNT. The taste was chard. The flavors were almost there and def edible, but still lacking that fresher, more complex notes and fragrances found in a restaurant downtown from here. The best thai food in the area. Great lunch specials, crab rangoon a true treasure, panang curry with mock duck *chef's kiss* Delivery and pickup only. Always arrives on time and hot. In over 40 orders, they forgot something once (my drink), delivered the food, went back to pick it up, and brought it back. The manager called to apologize for the oversight. Truly exemplary food and service. The meal portions are good, too, and you get what you ask for: no imitation crab and all special requests I've tried have been honored. The last time I had food this bad, I was in college and there was a black out in the city. With no water and no electricity, the dorm room cafeteria cook with a hair net was able to make food better than this. Honestly what the f$&@ is this? This isn't Thai food. If anything, the owner is probably some type of asian (probably Chinese given some of the items on the menu - and I'm Chinese so not being racist) that worked for 2 weeks at a Thai restaurant and was arrogant enough to think they know enough to do it themselves. Except what they have done is choose the worst ingredients and completely disrespect Thai food, culture and people. First the Panang curry. Curry is not a soup. Repeat after me...a curry is not a soup. Curries are supposed to be thick and flavorful and luxuriously silky. What I got was literally bathwater. Worse...gutter water with food coloring. No flavor whatsoever which basically means that to save money, the owner either got a premade mix and put in double...no triple the amount of water that is recommended or just keeps adding water to the curry they made 16 days ago. The chicken was tough to the point of being hard to swallow and the vegetables are a joke. The crispy duck salad is an insult to humans. It's basically left over duck that they slice and fry up and resell. It's hard with no duck flavor and drier than the Serengeti dessert. It actually hurt the roof of my mouth chewing it. I can't believe an animal died for this. The sauce was overly sweet and the canned pineapple was the most flavorful part of the dish....In addition to the wilted iceberg lettuce that reminded me of compost. The pad Thai - oh god. First of all, they used the wrong type of noodles. Over cooked noodles. No flavor. Tasted like canned tamarind or those tamarind pastes that you squeeze out of a bag. Their was no flavor of frying or spices or herbs or even salt. Again the chicken was like eating the bottom of a sneaker after Michael Jordan has been playing ball for 6 months in and taken any kind of support or spring out of the shoe. With that being said...what they lack in quality, flavor, basic food knowledge and anything good in the world...they make up for in speed. read more

This is probably the worst Thai food that I have ever had. I had the spicy basil fried rice lunch special and there were hard pieces of rice and in one of the chunks there was a frozen shrimp. This is hazardous and disgusting. The Thai spring roll was burnt and greasy. I will never order from here again. It is a shame that we are paying $13.00 for a meal for it to result unappetizing. Also, they have reduced the amount of shrimps in the meal by 4, instead of 5. I recommend you to find another Thai food restaurant to order from, because this one will leave you hungry. read more

The Mock Duck and Broccoli is AWESOME!! Definitely going to go here just for that. Ordered through Door Dash, and they didn't include the two Thai Iced Tea. I called up Kinkhao and they offered delivered them right away. I was very impressed and thankful for their willingness to complete my order. Close to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Less than 15 mins delivery to the Millstein Lobby on a mid week night at 5:30 pm. Ordered the Yellow Curry w Chicken and the Sauted Ginger Chicken. Also ordered sides of Jasmin Rice & Sticky Rice. Both mains were delicious, w the the Ginger Chicken being quite hot. Yellow Curry was average heat. Re sides: no need to order Jasmin Rice as one half pint box was included w each main. Stickey Rice was about the size of an Italian sausage and wrapped in plastic cling wrap, then placed in a half pint box. The stickey rice sausage was hard as a rock and difficult to unwrap. Once unwrapped the stickey rice sausage was impossible to break up. Gave up trying and tossed it out. Hence 4 stars rating out of 5. read more

I'm not a fan of Thai food due to lots of sweet elements in their cuisine but I order certain dishes that I know. Although this place didn't have many reviews I had a Seamless coupon and decided to roll with my regular Thai choices and even experimented with some unknown. I seriously don't know why this place- which is better than your average local Thai restaurants- is not more popular. I've ordered from them 2x- and will order again. Here's a breakdown of what I tried: - fried chicken wings ($6) Crispy and flavorful- not as big of a portion than fried wings from Chinos but more flavorful IMO. Will order again. - curry puff ($6) was not a fan of it as the curry stuffing was sweet and tasted a bit like a sweet potato - Summer roll ($5) Best value- you get so much for your buck. Fresh and tasty, light yet very filling. Only wished they wouldn't cut it into so many pieces because it's messy to eat. - Spicy basil fried rice (lunch special $7.50) Also an incredible value- you get non greasy delicious rice with your choice of a protein (mine was chicken) filled with vegetables and a choice of a salad, 2 dumplings or a soup. You can see how big the chicken pieces are and that they are of a quality. - Thai iced tea/coffee ($3) Delicious and priced right- some restaurants in this area have cojones to charge ~$5 for Thai iced tea/coffee Also- 2nd time I ordered I had a small issue with quality of one of the dishes-called the restaurant, the first person I spoke to made things right within seconds which gave me even more confidence to order from them again. read more

Great new spot in the neighborhood. I've ordered from Kinkhao four of five times now and just about everything has been delicious. The "healthy rice" ginger-rice soup had plenty of ginger flavor and was very refreshing. I've had the shrimp wonton soup twice, and while it was very good both times, with crisp veggies, delicate wonton wrappers and plump shrimp (and plenty of it), the broth was better the first time - cleaner and brighter flavors. I'd order it again to see which version is their usual one. I really liked the Thai spring rolls and veggie dumplings that come with lunch special. The rolls were very crisp and light and not too greasy, and the dumplings' filling was fresh and bright, with greens instead of just the cabbage and carrots I've seen in other versions. I probably wouldn't get the tom yum soup again with lunch special, however; the portion size was on the small side and it had a little too much fish sauce in it for my taste. For entrees, I've tried the drunken noodles, basil fried rice, red curry, cashew nut sauce, and the massaman curry. All were great. Crisp veggies and well-cooked meat with the noodles (just a bit of wok-char on the pork). Plenty of basil in the fried rice, which wasn't too greasy. Rich curry sauces. And lots of flavor in the cashew nut sauce, with a good balance between sweet/savory/sour/spicy. My co-workers say good things about the ginger sauce with chicken, but I haven't had it yet. Kinkhao is just a delivery/take-out spot so I can't say much about the service, but our orders have always been ready within 15 min and their staff seem friendly. We have always picked up so I don't know how long their deliveries take. Highly recommended! read more

The rice is soooo good. The crispy pork belly was okay but I think it would've been better without. The second time I ordered spicy basil fried rice but with chicken. Again, so delicious and perfectly spicy and I liked the chicken a lot more. I ordered spring rolls both times and they were really good. The portion is decent and not too expensive. Very disappointed in the food was extremely bland. The soup I got that had strange cut up pieces of tofu and onions that were not cooked the Tom Ka soup was just really disappointing. One of the best Green curry(chicken) lunch and most affordable in Manhattan probably! $7.50 lunch special included spring roll/green curry/rice. This place looks like a basic Chinese take out place from outside, and there is only a couple of seating in the store(nothing fancy). However, I was pretty impressed with the quality of their food for amazing price. I will go and try other dishes, but Green curry was spot on. If I had to make a note for expectation, white rice appears dry and not extra fresh. It could be the way they make the rice since the chef told me the rice was fresh. I am a long time resident of the neighborhood, and kinda hard to please. I've been here twice for lunch now. First time I just got the Fresh Summer Roll, which had no business being as generous and delicious as it was. Today, I just walked over there and got the Bangkok Fried Rice Lunch Special with the Wings and Spring Roll. All of it was delicious. This is a perfect grab and go/delivery place for locals, NYP Hospital employees, and NYP Hospital visitors. A lot better than most of the food options up in the Heights! Thanks Kinkhao! We will order dinner from you tonight as well! UPDATE: We ordered dinner. It is 4 degrees out. It was here almost instantly and piping hot.
