When i dropped her off i made sure to give my sister directions and pictures as to what to show the groomer what to do, and what not to do to avoid any mix up. remind you I am a super particular dog mom and is on top o everything regarding my puppy heath and comfort. My puppy came back shave down to about 1- .5 inch fur, butt completely expose ,she came back a different dog. with more irritation and redness and scooting. we notice more discomfort and redness, turns out my puppy came back with post-grooming bacterial folliculitis-furunculosis due to a small cutt during her sanitary shave not trim that allow bacteria to enter.\ update coming soon. Her explanation is that the website hadn't updated the price change yet. An almost 50% increase -- and she blames the computer?! Your first red flag is how easy it is to overlook the price on the website. Your second red flag should be that the price is not included in the appointment confirmation email. Your third red flag should be that she doesn't ask for payment before providing the service. She did agree to the $85 price "this one time," but there won't likely be a second. For $125, I can get a mobile groomer's van to pull up to the curb right in front of my building.

He can be a little fidgety and he absolutely hates the dryer -- but Vanessa took her time, kept him calm, and made sure he felt safe the whole way through. When I picked him up, he looked beyond adorable -- clean, fluffy, perfectly trimmed, and smelling amazing. She even surprised us with a Thanksgiving bandana, a treat bag, and the cutest fall-themed photo backdrop. That extra touch says everything about how much she truly cares. Her prices are incredibly fair, the shop is clean and welcoming, and you can tell she puts her whole heart into every dog she works with. Kingsley will absolutely be a regular here. If you're looking for a groomer who's patient, honest, gentle, and truly talented -- Vanessa is the one. We're so grateful we found her!

The price was set at 110$ after weighing the animal. To our utter disgust when retrieving the dog the price escalated to 171$. 5/5 Stars Ask for Lolo!…read more Lolo is a Miracle Worker! I cannot recommend Riverdale Groomers enough, specifically their groomer Lolo, who did a phenomenal job with my dog, Henry! ‍ THE BACKGROUND: Henry is a 3-year-old Field English Cocker Spaniel with incredibly thick, curly hair . Henry is an active boy who spends a lot of time off-leash on the trails, which means he constantly collects dirt, burrs, and debris in his coat! Between our busy schedules and it being over a year since his last professional groom, his fur had truly gotten out of hand . He had significant matting, especially in tricky areas like his armpits and ears . Lolo definitely had a lot of work on their hands, but they handled it with an incredible amount of quality care and meticulous attention to detail . Henry also deals with some codependency and anxiety issues. While we've been to major chains like Petco and PetSmart in the past--and they did a fine job--nothing compares to the quality of work Lolo provided . Lolo took all of my disclaimers about Henry's temperament to heart and used genuine TLC to ensure he had the best experience possible . Because Henry has a solid black coat, he attracts a lot of heat , and the weight of the matted curls was really weighing him down . I told Lolo to go "to the leather" (a close shave), and they executed it perfectly while refining the mohawk I requested! What really blew me away was their availability! Most groomers in the area (and surrounding neighborhoods) are booked out for weeks, if not months. Riverdale Groomers was able to offer me a same-day appointment or a slot just three days later! This is a total lifesaver if you need grooming on short notice, whether you're about to travel or just want your pup looking fresh sooner rather than later . The communication is also top-tier . They send a text the moment your dog is ready for pickup, and they actually answer the phone when you call! No dealing with annoying AI robots or leaving voicemails that never get returned-ugh. I'm not sure if they are a family-run business, but they certainly act like one! They truly care about their furry clients and their humans alike . The price is also super affordable for this level of expertise! Just a heads-up for new clients: they are CASH ONLY, so make sure you have your cash ready for the service and a well-deserved tip! While I know that can be a minor inconvenience for some, knowing beforehand makes everything a breeze. Plus, it's totally understandable--credit card companies charge such high premiums, and by avoiding those fees, this amazing small business can keep their doors open and stay in the community longer! All in all, Henry came back such a happy dog, clearly relieved to have that heavy coat off! He showed no signs of stress, anxiety, or tension, which made me feel super relieved knowing Henry had been in safe and good hands. I'm officially done waiting a year between visits--we will be going back to see Lolo on a monthly basis now!

This is the same team that used to be Popcorn Pawz -- they've been serving Riverdale for over 15 years. They didn't close, they just rebranded and moved to a smaller space after COVID. Same owners, same groomers, same care. Finding a groomer who is genuinely good with cats is HARD. They are patient, experienced, and calm. My pets come home clean, comfortable, and never stressed. Their top groomer has over 30 years of experience, and it shows. They also offer pickup/drop-off and even insured cage-free boarding, which gives me so much peace of mind. It's a small, local business -- not a big corporation -- and you can feel the difference in how they treat both the animals and the clients. If you're debating between a chain and somewhere that actually knows your pet, this is the place.
