So I've been here a few times and each time never had any problems and the food was great . Nothing fancy just your typical neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. The employees are friendly and the place was very clean overall. I ordered a chicken broccoli with white rice to go. The food was very tasty, good portion of chicken and it most importantly it was fresh and flavorful. The best part was that the sauce wasn't oily which I've seen happen to me before from different places, you can see the oil settle on the bottom of the container not this place through! I have been eating here for maybe... 25 years now? LOVE the food. Not crazy amounts of oil, great veggie dishes, and the place is one of the cleanest Chinese food spots I've seen in the city. People on here seem to be complaining about the lady who answers the phone. I was always used to her, so I never cared, and she was always courteous when picking up. That's literally just how she speaks. Not really rude at all, just matter of fact. However, I'm not sure if she's there anymore as I haven't gotten her when calling in a while. Hoping she's okay and that her kids were able to retire her. Kind of annoyed by people calling the area desolate. It isn't desolate, just mostly zoned as residential, so no, there's not a TON of options. This one is definitely solid, and close for hotel people. This is what I ordered... -French Fries $3.00, no good old fries. -Steamed Veggie Dumplings $7.00, the menu clearly say 10 but they only gave me 8 ! -Mixed veggies in spicy garlic sauce $6.50, wasn't spicy at all not good. So I'll break down the experience of this restaurant in the sad and isolated LGA airport area. Service: bad customer service over the phone. Ordered takeout and the woman was trying to resolve 4 different things at once and take my order. She got it right but was really crass. Delivery: delivery was prompt to my hotel and the delivery man very nice. Food: ordered wonton soup (delicious) and General tso chicken. The chicken doesn't taste like there's chicken in it, mostly fried fluff. The rice was actually very good (it was a combination item), and the egg roll was standard but good. A very generous portion for $12 all together, but sad that my chicken--which is what I looked forward to--was not delicious. All in all, a basic Chinese eatery in an otherwise mundane area. As previously stated, this place is only good for quick meals and food isn't too bad. It's a typical Chinese takeout. HOWEVER! The woman who runs the front does not know how to talk to customers. I am from Los Angeles and was told by the front desk associate was this was some good Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow Mein expecting noodles with chicken and veggies. This restaurant is no different from the average Chinese restaurant, with a few setbacks that might just turn you away. The food is good, offering the standard menu found in similar places. They have recently renovated with new furniture and a storefront that so make it a bit more inviting. The biggest setback is the service, which on it own might as well be 1/5 stars. The person usually taking the order, whether in person or over the phone, is one of the most rudest people one can deal with. Her tone almost feels as if she's doing you a favor by letting you dine there. Always yelling and speaking in a harsh tone, she can't help herself give you a mean stare if you take too long going over the menu to order. It's tolerable ordering the food over the phone, if you must. Personally have tried the General Tsao chicken, Steamed chicken with broccoli, Kung Po chicken, fried rice, and buffalo wings, all which have been satisfactory and on par with other places. The only thing good I can say about this restaurant is they make quick deliveries. I called to place my order and the lady, or should I say GIRL, had an instant attitude. No where on the menu did it say they only took cash nor did she mention it during the call and all I had was a credit card. When I called back to inquire about it she had an attitude about that as well. If it weren't for me calling back, I wouldn't have had the cash to pay for my meal. She asked for my room number but the delivery guy called and made me meet him in the lobby. And to finish things out as I was eating, I found a strand of hair!! I've usually ordered from here only slight issues of not receiving forks or no soy sauce but every time I call to place an order for delivery I always hear a nasty attitude or pushy tone of voice to hurry and get me off the phone tonight was the last night I can take this woman she completely disregarded any changes I made which was takin off sesame chicken and changing it to small boneless spare ribs.
