The owner is one of the nicest guys I've met. He is great at giving recommendations and is just real friendly in general. The entrees are also tasty. I would go here over most of the other Chinese places in the area. However I love potstickers and the ones here come from a box. Also there isn't any dish that just stands out to me. We were traveling and stopped for some Cashew Chicken. It was very tasty, and we could choose all white meat, or all dark. Portions were perfect, and you get soup and salad. I had the egg flower soup, which was very fresh tasting and flavorful. I'd highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I love this place! The portions on the lunch menu are great, the food is fresh, made to order ... and the owner ! Nice is an understatement! I love the egg rolls that come with the lunch special! Lets start with the bad because I'm just a pessimist like that. The hot and sour soup was neither hot or sour, very bland tasting. The employees at the time, around 9pm, were very rude to each other resulting in an awkward what do I do atmosphere. Now for the good. The orange chicken was probably the best I've had in springfield, you have to pay the extra for all white meat though. Well worth it I say. Overall I would say use the drive thru and just order the white meat orange chicken. You'll be much more satisfied. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place one night during a "what do you want for dinner?" standoff. We drove by the restaurant and saw the sign boasting an award for their food. We went through the drive thru, but our view into the windows showed a tidy and aesthetically appealing interior. Our food was mostly flavorful. The portions were good. I had the hot and spicy chicken, and I enjoyed it! I appreciate that the rice wasn't doused in soy sauce as you would find in most Springfield establishments. I'm only taking off one star, which should really be more like half a star, because their egg rolls were small and bland. The crab rangoon also lacked good flavor and was pretty greasy. read more

We have been driving by this place for several years now but didn't realize it had changed hands til now. We had dinner here: cashew chicken combos. Prices were less than McDonalds but much bigger and better portions-- I can't imagine a better value out there. We didn't go there looking for cheap food just good food and were very pleasantly surprised. The chicken was fresh and the breading was just right: not too hard like some places and not too soft either. It came with rice, crab Rangoon, and an egg roll (not to mention a salad and soup bar too). A lot of food for the price of a Quarter pounder with cheese meal. The restaurant was clean and the staff (maybe the owner?) was very friendly and seemed to enjoy what he was doing even when he was wiping down a table. This place deserves to be better known. I've been twice, in December, then last night. Christmas decor was still up...Christmas in July? It was not good. Free salad and soup bar was just what you'd expect for free. Don't offer it if you don't plan on serving quality. Tables were sticky and it was crazy hot in there. We had to ask for cups for our drinks and then when we asked for forks they brought out cheap plastic forks that are good for nothing. Won't be back. read more

I am an extremely picky Chinese food fanatic. I got spoiled at my hometown and I haven't been able to find anything to replace it since moving. However now I can finally say that I'm at home. The service here is always first rate, but you can't eat the service. So you can try this place for the service, but please stay for the food. Because the food is even better than the service. We chose this restaurant due to it's late closing time and most importantly the 4.5 star rating but going there was a serious mistake. The wonton soup had absolutely no flavor, the general's chicken was just covered in some spicy pepper but also tasteless, the crab rangoon was limp and tasted like it was several days (or weeks) old, and the egg roll was so incredibly bad we had to purchase Sprite and crackers to calm our upset bellies and cover the bad taste left in our mouths. I stopped in tonight because I was craving chinese, and Creasian was closed. I ordered the beef and brocolli and my friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken. The service was great and very prompt. However, the food was a different story. In my opinion, its not award winning by any means. The beef was chewy and the rice was not fried if thats what it was supposed to be. The chicken on the sweet and sour has a weird taste and texture. Im giving 2 stars because the service was good and the price was okay. This is pretty much the same standard Springfield style Asian food. Service is good, but Bao Bao and Triple 8s have more interesting menus.

As a visitor, I was very happy to have the Chef tell me about his menu. He shared his love for specialty items such as sesame rolls by explaining what ingredients were used and how they were made. They are wonderful. You can tell the egg rolls are fresh made by him as well. I'll be back when I return next month. read more

I would give this zero stars if it would let me. This is hands down one of the worst restaurants I've ever had the displeasure of finding. The salad/soup bar was paltry, with food that had clearly been out for hours. Our rice was raw and crunchy the first time, overcooked and burnt when we pointed it out. Portion sizes were small for the price. Orange Chicken was overly sweet, and Generals Chicken was more cabbage than meat. Tables, floor and even menus were all sticky and dirty. Delicious food, great pricing! The quality of the food, sauces, etc. is a step above other local Chinese food places. My fave is their sesame chicken, sweet, full of flavor. I ordered sweet and sour chicken combo meal at the drive thru. The meal was adequate and I did like the taste of the sweet and sour sauce but the problem was that here was barely enough sauce to coat the chicken. Also the rice I guess was supposed to be fried rice but it looked like regular white rice with about 3 small pieces of carrot. The meal came with a crab rangoon but there was no dipping sauce for it and there was also no packaged sauce like hot mustard and soy sauce. read more
