I guess I'm a NY bagel guy. The "Montreal style" bagels served here are thin, chewy, and slightly sweet. They remind me of unsalted soft pretzels. The tater tots look and taste like something out of the Alien franchise. Almost like crab-legged hush puppies. And their only soda offerings are Coke and Diet Coke so I settled on OJ. Maybe a blessing in disguise since it was a healthier option. Only two gender-neutral bathrooms so prepare for a wait. There was a line the entire time we were there.

Even a little after 10am on a Saturday, you can tell this place is a very popular hangout. I waited in line for about 10 minutes, but the line moves fast. I concur with other reviewers that the staff is so friendly, helpful and energetic. I ordered a Cafe Au Lait with a shot of caramel syrup. Once I looked at the pastry items, I knew the Blueberry Lavender scone had my name all over it! I sat outside on a sidewalk bistro table and enjoyed both items immensely on a gorgeous Chattanooga morning. This place also has inside seating as well as a nice patio setup. So happy I got to experience this place! (P.S. The line is still out the door when I left!) :)

We picked up two blueberry cake donuts, two strawberry sprinkled donuts, and an apple fritter. The blueberry cake had that old-fashioned texture -- not too sweet, just right with coffee. Oat milk or half and half were available. -No plastic knives for the cream cheese. We used wooden coffee stirrers which was fine but clumsy to navigate. -Not sure why reviews are so bad for bagels because they were fluffy with just the right amount of chew (close to NY style). I will say that after it being toasted, the bagel was not soft enough the day after to eat. But day-of, it was great. -Small seating area typical of little cafes. A few outdoor tables as well. -Very friendly service. Accommodating and welcoming to our child circus -the cheesy bagel isn't the typical Asiago most places carry, but an actual cheddar blend. Yummy.
