We walked into the cozy shop on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted by the friendly worker. She patiently and honestly answered our questions about the best products to try. Good thing, too. We were about to try a few things that she steered us clear of. We ended up ordering: Cheesy bagel with cream cheese Everything bagel Chocolate croissant Ham and cheese danish Pumpkin chocolate almond croissant 2 iced coffees Some notes: -She heated up all of the items for us, which was tasty and delicious. -Coffee was good. Oat milk or half and half were available. -No plastic knives for the cream cheese. We used wooden coffee stirrers which was fine but clumsy to navigate. -Not sure why reviews are so bad for bagels because they were fluffy with just the right amount of chew (close to NY style). I will say that after it being toasted, the bagel was not soft enough the day after to eat. But day-of, it was great. -Small seating area typical of little cafes. A few outdoor tables as well. -Very friendly service. Accommodating and welcoming to our child circus -the cheesy bagel isn't the typical Asiago most places carry, but an actual cheddar blend. Cute shop, great service, delicious goodies!!! I brought my husband in for a bagel on his birthday. Unfortunately the bagels are preorder on the weekends only which was a bummer. My husband ended up getting a pumpkin chocolate croissant and an apple cheese danish. He loved them both! We will definitely be back to try more things in the future. Everything looked beautiful! Thrilled to find this option. We've had the sourdough bread, chocolate chip cookies, and blueberry scones so far. With MTHFR it is so strange to be able to enjoy baked goods without the inflammation and upset after. This is both a delicious and comforting solution to commercial bread. Maybe too much so. We stopped in here our first day in Ellijay, per the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It was early afternoon and we hoped to get some bagels for our next day's breakfast. The staff were super friendly and kind and mentioned the bagels should last a few days. We also purchased some fresh sourdough bread. The bagels were HARD AS A ROCK the very next morning when we went to eat them. Completely inedible. The sourdough bread was very good and lasted a few days. Do not recommend the bagels at all. I'm so sad that this place is in Ellijay. I originally live in Atlanta area, but was just driving by from visiting Blue Ridge. I was casually looking for a breakfast place, but instead spotted this specialty bread shop as I needed some bread for sandwiches at home. Boy, first of all, I'm a city girl and never ever wanted to live in the countryside until I had their bread tonight. Their bread literally tastes like the ones you get at a nice fancy restaurant as a complementary piece with just a hint of butter; it was just that good. What a find!! Visited this fab bakery and came away with lots of delicious munchies. The sourdough bread is magical. Light and tasty with a gorgeous dark crunchy crust. We started tearing off pieces in the car going home - the aroma was just irresistible. Also got some butter croissants, rosemary focaccia, pain au chocolate and olive sourdough bread too. The sour dough bread is a hit! The gal at the counter was so personable and caring. Great selection.

The sourdough, blueberry scone and the rosemary focaccia were all amazing and I make regularly at home. The service was personal, open and a lovely display of human connection and interest. If you're looking for a bakery to go to in Ellijay look no further! I've been coming up to Ellijay for years and have been waiting for a place like this to open!! Their pastries and bread are very fresh. Everything that I've tried so far has been amazing, with my all time favorite being the Swedish Kanelbullar (think cardamom roll)! On the weekends they have quiche and sourdough bagels (highly recommend the everything bagels)! One of my favorite things they have is a selection of day old breads. On the bottom most rack of their bread shelf, they put day old breads and those are 50% off! They also serve coffee and tea. I haven't tried the tea yet but their coffee is surprisingly good. I stopped by today for the first time. Purchased a loaf of cranberry walnut bread for after Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches. What a beautiful loaf! I had to try some before the turkey. It was crispy outside, soft inside with the juiciest cranberries. It was pricey but well worth the splurge. Nothing like this in any grocery. I rarely write a review but I can't believe this is available in a food desert like Ellijay. It's tucked away between Lowes and Hibbetts. I only hope they get the support here to stay around. I waited too long to try them but I'm afraid there are lots of great carbs in my future. read more
