Then once we finally ordered our coffee, it took 15 minutes and another 5 after that for water. My coffee was dropped off without sweetener, which ordinarily would've been just fine, but my coffee was so bitter. My husband had to go inside to flag somebody down for sweetener. Food arrived and it had plastic on the salad. Which is no big deal but they barely apogized and seemed to careless. Overall, the whole experience just left something to be desired. The food was good but we probably won't be back because of the service.

Thursday night is when the locals come to play blue grass music so we wanted to be seated at the pavilion so we could enjoy the music. It was a perfect night to sit outside and listen to so much talent. And the food! They have a new Autumn menu and we all tried something different. I got the stuffed trout which was amazing, my husband ordered the pork chop which he devoured. The other two dishes ordered were the Masala and the chicken. We were all members of the clean plate club. We ordered the chocolate dessert and it was so good we ordered another! Out hostess and wait staff were delightful, amazing ambiance that is unmatched and the food stellar. This is my new favorite place. I cannot give it enough accolades

My grandson loved his spaetzle, my daughter loved her brats. The goulash was good, but not great: I'll have something else next time. Did not go inside, so I cannot speak to noise or ambiance. The porch was nice, though.

My biggest complaint is about the wait encountered. I was quoted about 30 minutes to be seated and was probably a little over that, thankfully with other parties leaving to get progressed through the list faster. Once we were seated though, the first thing our waitress said is that it was going to be another hour before the kitchen would have our food out. In reality, time from seating to getting our food was probably was closer to an hour and a half. I ordered the wiener schnitzel with potato salad and spätzle. Everything tasted very good. I enjoyed my schnitzel. I liked the flavor of their potato salad a lot but didn't care for peas being in it. That was a first for me. The spätzle was good. I did order it with some additional toppings which were missing when it came out. No way I was sending it back. The plain original one was fine and they fixed the check no problem before cashing out. All in all, I would recommend this place on the food if their was not a wait. I would be hesitant to recommend it if you get waitlisted outside because of how long it took the kitchen. I hope they get that figured out. On food alone I wpuld of gave them 4 stars. For me tonight and the overall experience, I have to drop it to 3.

This off the charts bakery offers THE BEST flaky pastry you will find in America. Everything was fantastic, but the true stand out items are anything made with the flaky pastry, including the pain chocolate, apple turnover, chicken pot pie, Boston cream donut, croissant, and cinnamon roll. Those are my favorites. The quiche and chicken empanada are fantastic too. I also tried the spinach turnover, beef empanada, ham and cheese empanada, pistachio queen cookie, the Nutella trifle, the cheese bread, and the sliced brioche. All of those were wonderful too. The only thing I've had that I wasn't into was the cupcake. I drive 45 minutes each way to go here, and it's worth it. Once word gets out about this pastry crust, this place is going to have to expand to handle all the business. I'm so excited they are serving our GF community.

I finally got to try the things that Valley's Bakery is known for! And for the most part--amazing!…read moreIt's really cool to see how puffy and layered these gluten free pastries can actually get. Here's my two cents on what I got: Donut: I got in too late and couldn't snag a jelly donut, but I got a nice classic white choco one! The white choco gave it just the right amount of sweetness without feeling like I OD'd. I wish the donut itself had that pinch of ground nutmeg to further lend itself that classic donut taste, but overall not complaining. The inside looked so much like a regular donut! It was a bit denser than a regular donut, but a definite level up from the usual gluten free cake donut (which is really just cake). AMAZING feat and a huge step forward for GF folks who haven't eaten a "real" donut in years. Croissant: I had the mini croissants and I've experienced an actual good GF croissant about 10 years ago back in NYC, but I know how difficult it is to get these right!! These were definitely flaky and had a lightly buttery, savory taste. You can't compare it to an actual croissant (which I think can "squish" a little more when you hold it), but the flavor and the layers are spot on! Matcha white choco cookie: I can't believe how soft this thin-ish cookie was...and SO incredibly packed with flavor! The matcha hits you in the face without being bitter then the white choco mellows it all out. They have their cookies down like nobody's business! You want something that's guaranteed to be good? Get their cookie. I didn't try their others but based on the texture, sweetness, and topping ratios alone, I already know their other cookies are going to be off the charts! Tres leches parfait: I love me a good tres leches and this was COVERED in tres leches!! The whipped topping was just the right amount of sweet (aka not too sweet, but oh-so-milky!) and the flavor was just extra decadent. The only gripe is that the cake was a bit grainy, and I'm not sure where that graininess came from as I've definitely had non-grainy GF cake, but the flavor was so good it actually didn't bug me too much. Spinach ricotta feta turnover: We really couldn't resist that flaky exterior. The corners were decadent, light, and crispy. The inside was a little soggy from the filling, but there's a good chunk of filling in there so understandable if all that cheese oil gets up in there. My only qualm is that even though the cheese oil got all over the center, it also got all over our hands--like a LOT of oil. I probably could've wrung it out like a towel but we just ate it since overall it was quite tasty. With my last 2 visits, I'm still getting the feeling that cupcakes/cakes are not what they're known for, and to really stick with their pastries, cookies, and donuts if you want a bomb experience. I did see some guy walking out with a delicious looking hot dog though, so I'd encourage y'all to try that too. Service was also good, and the person working there was incredibly friendly and customer-oriented. I can see why this GF bakery is so famous nation-wide--great job, Valley's, at producing so many GF pastries that GF folks would've never dreamt of being able to eat ever again! Huge game changer!
