In 2025, I relocated out of state and now needed someone to manage the entire process of preparing my home for sale, which included interior and exterior painting, tile and grout repairs, house cleaning, window cleaning, furniture staging, and movers to pack my belonging and deliver as directed. In March 2026, I called Karl Katnik on his cell #, he met me at the house, and I shared that I don't have any time to deal with the transaction during my move out of state and need someone to completely manage the process. Karl assured me that they do this all the time, they have the contractors and staff to take this off my plate. Karl asked what I was thinking for a selling price, and then he shared his thoughts on what investment was needed on my part to support that selling price. I went with his recommendations, we agreed upon the timeline, and then I signed the DocuSign agreement to proceed. I was introduced to his associate Hannah Goldman who was my point person for the rest of the transaction and provided timeline updates and managed the service providers who were assigned to my project. Plus, his quote was comprehensive and competitive. A few things I really appreciated: (1) Ari was in contact throughout the process. He kept everything on schedule. Even with some unforeseeable issues that needed to be addressed mid-project, the work was still completed on-time. He was able to provide recommendations (e.g., fixtures, appliances, tiles) when we asked for them, and he made helpful suggestions for additional improvements without being pushy. (2) His crew was great. Roberto and company knew their stuff. From framing to plumbing, electrical to cabinet & fixture installation (we had a lot of work done!), they did a top-notch job. And they were very friendly to have around. We have lived in our Tri Pointe home for three years now, and unfortunately our experience has been…read moreextremely disappointing. For a brand-new home, the amount of ongoing repairs has been shocking -- and many issues keep happening repeatedly because they were never truly fixed the first time. Here is just a portion of what we have dealt with since move-in: * Multiple fire sprinkler head issues * Garage door malfunction * Shower enclosure leaking -- not once, not twice, but three times in the same bathroom with the same leak, requiring repeated drywall remediation * Plumbing problems, including water seeping through the upstairs hallway ceiling and damaging the dining room below * Roof issues, including ridge tiles needing repair * And most recently, we discovered a side yard water intrusion issue that appears to have existed from day one -- now causing visible moisture damage and foundation concerns. What has made this even more frustrating is the declining level of customer care. In the beginning, the warranty team was willing to help, but after the repairs kept recurring, they became noticeably impatient and unwilling to look deeper into the root causes. Instead of understanding the stress this puts on homeowners, the responses started to feel dismissive -- as if we should simply accept these problems as normal. This is not what you expect when you invest in a new home. A builder should stand behind its work, especially when the same issues keep coming back year after year. Unfortunately, based on our experience, Tri Pointe has not delivered the quality or customer support that homeowners deserve.

Today I'm fixing the Tri-Point shower. In their infinite wisdom the vendor/contractor embedded or…read morehammered the magnet into the frame in such a way where it cannot be removed. (See picture.) That will require another trip to store to figure out and was not done like my previous Tri-Point home 100 yards away in the same development which I replaced the cheap magnet 5 years back. As well, given my irritation on this I noticed my prev reviews might look like rants, so I included pictures of the cement poured in my front yard that I had to buy a jackhammer to dig it up. Pure lazy and/or poor vendor management. (3 pics) And the gutter pure design flaw that shoots water to painted wood on patio rather than putting 3 feet of gutter and routing it properly. (1 pic). All of which with a little more care would not cause the headaches they are today or will in the future. Nor will Tri-Point do a thing but tell you how wonderful their service is and they are here for you. Clearly negligent design flaws should be handled beyond warranty period. Hopefully you can see this was not some nut on a rant. It has taken a lot of time, effort, some sweat equity or labor and will in the future to correct these issues.

We found Micky's company on Yelp and decided to contact him for our home remodel project in Costa…read moreMesa. We had just bought a fixer-upper and wanted to do a gut remodel. Right from the get go, it was clear that he is an honest person and gave us a lot of confidence that he will be able to handle the project. We had to wait a few months to get the permit approval from the city, and Micky followed up with the permit officers diligently. He had his team ready to jump in with the demo, and started working on the project immediately after we received the permits. The project took a couple of months longer than expected (in part because we asked for some changes, and in part because Micky had underestimated some of the work). But we did not mind the delay as it was clear that Micky's team was doing the work properly and not cutting corners. One piece of advice: Micky gives you accurate timelines for his material options, but if you want other options then you will have to be on top of it yourself to make sure you get it in time. This is understandable, and once we realized it, we were able to better forecast when certain aspects of the project will be completed. Micky is just an amazing human being - kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. The patience paid off. We now live in one of the best houses on the street (which was previously an eye sore). Our sincere gratitude for Micky and his team. We will seek his company out for future projects.
