This past Thursday, around 10:15, I had some time to kill while my dog was being groomed nearby. Rather than shop the King Soopers on Wadsworth and Alameda or on W Colfax and Quail (all nearby), I decided to go here. It had been several years since my last visit and what I remembered was the easy parking access. Although I was able to find most of the items I needed, navigating through the store was very challenging due to the large number of boxes in the aisles and the large carts stacked with merchandise waiting to be put on shelves. I submitted a complaint about this location's lack of internet connectivity over two years ago, and unfortunately the issue still exists. Cell service inside the store is extremely poor, and there is no public Wi-Fi available. During our visit, my wife--who is six months pregnant--needed to transfer funds between accounts so we could complete a purchase for Father's Day. Because neither cellular data nor Wi-Fi was available, she was unable to access her banking app and became understandably upset. I understand businesses may have concerns about employee phone use, but customers increasingly rely on mobile banking, digital coupons, shopping lists, and communication with family members while shopping. In an area with poor cellular coverage, offering reliable guest Wi-Fi would significantly improve the customer experience. This was a problem when I reported it years ago, and it's disappointing to see it remains unresolved. read more

This King Soopers is way better than the one on Alameda 1.2 miles away where they will run you over in the parking lot and sometimes the food is expired. On the downside, there is no olive bar. To make up for that, there is a big cross on the mountain that lights up at night from the vicinity of Golden that leads you to this store like a beacon of hope. This is God's chosen King Soopers. Main Reservoir is across the street. At night, it reflects like the lights of Notre-Dame de Paris and Île de la Cité reflecting in the Seine river at sunrise. read more

Good prices and large selection. Produce department is very good. Huge parking lot. Convenient location in and out. If you don't have a Sooper Card you can get one immediately and save. Be certain to complete the card registration so next time all you need is your phone number. You can also get coupons mailed to you to save more. Yesterday, I purchased $32.29 in gas at the pumps. As I used a debit card, the money was immediately deducted from my checking account. This morning, I was shocked to see a hold for $150.50 from this same King Soopers on my account. I called my credit union who told me this charge was initiated by the store and to contact the store. I had the misfortune of speaking with a manager, Kevin, who has horrendous customer service skills. He told me to contact my bank as they are the ones who place a hold to prevent fraud, contrary to what i told him my bank just said. I told him I've shopped at his store for over 20 years, opened my checking account at this credit union in 1997 and never had this huge of an amount placed on a hold. His reply to me was to tell me he opened his account in 1991. Well, good for him but that doesn't explain to me why King Soopers placed a hold of $150 on my account for a $32 charge that had cleared the account 12 hours prior. I'm fairly new to the area, so getting used to this store was strange. The staff has been very kind and they always have their masks on. The parking lot is confusing and I'm always afraid I'm going to hit someone. There are also not a lot of cart return spots. read more

Been absolutely no help in finding things They are home of the 5$ headphones They don't change their fry oil they only filter it which is disgusting They're bakery is bout the only half decent thing there, pharmacy is decent too. Somehow has everything you need (most of the time), but they will also be out of the most random items for months. The quality of their produce and meat is substandard; the meat/fish area is always super odorous, which could mean food safety concerns. The store is cramped, dingy, unwelcoming, badly designed, and in poor shape overall. This is a clientele that probably doesn't demand much change or variety, but this place really does feel like a 1970s time capsule inside. The workers are always kind. An average King Suppers, most employees very nice and helpful...but their baggers are clueless and clearly not trained in bagging properly. Guy today gave me a ripped bag, and two other heavy bags were heavy and needed to be doubled. No idea how to pack bags with common sense. Brutal that they have no training or guidance. Holy Cheese-and-Olive-Bar Island! I'm SO happy this Soopers is SO close to my new digs! I was spoiled by the Soopers on 120th in Broomfield because of their Cheese and Olive Island. When I made the 30 minute trek up there today, I got the Smarts and asked them if there were any other locations with the same setup. Hooray, Soopers on Kipling! It's smaller, and in an older, more established neighborhood, which I like. It seemes clean, has a kickin' Starbucks inside, and yes, my Cheese and Olive Mecca. Grape Leaves. Giant White Beans. Olives. Onions. Brie. Goat Cheeses. Aged Cheddar. Smoked Gouda. Cous Cous. YES PLEASE! The parking lot was fairly open and even had spots... on a Saturday. And the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I've found my new King Soopers! read more

This pharmacy loves to waste peoples time. I called after my prescription was sent to them and they said it would be ready in an hour. Then they texted me an hour later that it would be filled in 3 days. I need the prescription today, not in three days. I call them back and they told me to find a pharmacy to transfer to and they will transfer it. I find a pharmacy and then they tell me they can't transfer it the other pharmacy has to request it. Absolutely wasting my time calling back and forth. Incredibly poor customer service. I will never use this pharmacy again. read more

Overall a slightly below average store at Kipling and Florida in Lakewood, CO Friendly staff, but limited familiarity with the layout of their store. On more than one occasion I have gotten different answers depending upon whom I asked about the location of products. Lately they have switched to some really cheap plastic bags for bagging orders, so if you have anything remotely heavy, ask them to double bag it. The deli is depressing, slow, and quality is uneven. i'm more than one occasion I have just skipped it. God help you if you ever order something as simple as a sandwich. None of the ingredients are organized for efficient sandwich production. The employee has to go all over the store sometimes even to the bakery for a loaf of bread. Some days the prepared food looks great and other days it looks like it was salvaged from a closed Luby's. They always seem reluctant in the premium meat department to help you or answer questions. These employees are typically also busy restocking the below average meat cuts in the rest of the department. There is definitely an air of resentment towards shoppers late at night or even in off peak hours. Very often carts and boxes are placed in the middle of aisles making it difficult to navigate. Labor-management is only fair. While my perception is that the store is often full of employees, you frequently have to wait a long time to check out. I am one of those people who does not like the automatic check out, and I believe for the prices paid they can check you out. Get off my lawn, lol. I miss the old Jim Baldwin days, when the store was 10 times better. I do think there is a decades old tradition of poor meat selection that they should fix. They carry foods that you can't find elsewhere in the realm of Soopers and the staff is amazing and awesome on 7 different levels of ninja skills. Overall I like shopping at Kings. I have a suggestion on how to handle customers at the Deli. The last three times I tried to get something at the Deli, I waited and waited finally left. If I could leave less than a one star review I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been too. I have had nothing but rude interactions with the staff here. I am being told one thing on the phone and then am told a completely different thing when I go in person to pick up a medication that it isn't available at that pharmacy. But they can't transfer it. I have to call all over town to see where it's available and then have that particular pharmacy call them to transfer the prescription. "That's how this works". If I have any questions on medications I have to "take it up with my doctor" even though the pharmacist is there to answer any questions you may have on your medications. Don't waste your time here! I like the layout of this King's. Easy to find everything. I also enjoy getting chicken fingers, they always seem to cook them awesome here, just right. I love that this King's has a RedBox as well, and not just one, but two machines so when it's busy, people can return DVDs while other people are still looking. read more

Easy to find what we were looking for. I was especially excited to discover that my favorite coffee was on sale. Unfortunately, I was erroneously charged the full price. Thanks to the confusing format on the check-out screen, I didn't discover the mistake until after I arrived back home. But no matter. When I returned a couple of hours later to receive a refund for the difference, the clerk went ahead and refunded the full amount to apologize for the inconvenience. I'm happy with the variety and selection, the store is clean and well-organized but the check-out and bagging staff are indifferent and unfriendly. There are a few exceptions but it's pretty obvious that the company doesn't concern itself with customer experience. They must know that the Safeway at Kipling and Jewell absolutely sucks, which is why I keep coming back to this King Soopers. I do appreciate the fact that most of their checkout lanes are open and they have someone directing traffic to keep the lines moving. read more
