Good sized store with everything you need from groceries, bakery, drug store, etc. Employees are always nice and friendly as well!

This is the best King Soopers in the area! The layout is efficient and the store is quite clean. It has a great selection and the produce is generally quite healthy looking, with the occasional exception of avocados and melons. The "specials" aisle here is awesome, you can get items at huge discounts. There are plenty of self-checkout lanes and wait times are usually not too bad. read more

I waited in line at the customer service counter for 25 minutes today. There were only two customers in front of me and one of them left after waiting for 20 minutes. Behind the counter there were two King Soopers employees. One employee was talking to her coworker while ignoring the customers in line. The other employee was moving slower than anyone I have ever seen in that position. Luckily, a new employee came onto his shift and was ringing people up 8:1 compared to the other guy. My transaction only took 30 seconds, but I waited 25 minutes to get it started. Please teach your employees to move faster when it is busy and to communicate with people in line. read more

My name is Brady Balint and I have been coming to this store for the past 2 decades and my family and I spend at least $1000 a month not including gas and cigarettes. My sister and my brother both worked there for a time being. And I love alot of the people working there because they are always so friendly and kind. But last night on april 29th I was shopping and it was at the end of the day but I came in at 9:50pm and the store closes at 11pm. And I had about $160 worth of merchandise to buy and I was having a hard time finding candida medication because all of them were special order apparently so it took up most of my shopping time. I had a hispanic manager lady whose name was Lorena or something close to it but it seemed that she was singling me out and following me around telling me that they are closing in 20 minutes and again every 5 minutes after that harassing me and I would say ok that fine. So I get all of my groceries and have a full cart and so I start walking up to the self check out but I forgot milk so I ran actually ran back to grab some real quick and when I come back to start ringing out my groceries Lorena tells me she put all my groceries back and I was only gone for a minute and I thought she was joking but she said she was dead serious and said we are closed and its 11pm. And I look at my phone and said its not even 11pm but 10:57 And I was just dumbfounded knowing that it was impossible to have put my groceries back that fast. I asked her for her name and said you are just rude and she tells me she is just doing her job. And I said that is just F-ing ridiculous because my sister and brother both worked here and they would never treat they're customers like that and neither would I and she said I need to watch my mouth. And I said I had medication that I really needed that I had in my cart so she pulled out my cart and asked what all I wanted and was only going to let me pick a few things from my cart that she never put back. She belittled me and made me feel like I was a bad guy in front of the other customers and clerks saying that I was holding everybody up and that she wanted to go home. I still had 3 minutes before the store was even closed. The lady with a southern accent and red hair was being real nice and felt sorry for me and let me grab the things I needed real quick that weren't in the cart and I am very thankful for her being there. She is an absolute sweetheart. I still needed to get a pack of cigarettes and needed to use the ATM but I was already feeling like a burden and was afraid to even ask even though I walked there from home and it was freezing out. But Lorena was being so rude and smug even when I asked her for her name, she gave it to me with a big smile on her face which really made me mad. And I didnt get any of my mark downs including a buy one get one free on a supplement so I ended up paying more and I was also going to buy $160 worth of groceries but only got $80 worth because she made me pick and choose out of the groceries I already picked out. So I left pissed off and I could of sworn I heard her say Pinchy wedo as I was walking out but Im not 100%. So I thought I could walk to the liqueur store and use the ATM and get cigarettes but they were already closed so I walked to the one by taco bell to find out they're ATM is down and they don't carry my brand of cigarettes so I was really livid then because all the other gas stations were closed and so I had to walk a mile out of my way in the opposite direction in the cold with hands full of groceries to use the ATM and get cigarettes at 711. I am not happy because I have never been treated so poorly or ran into a clerk or manager that was so rude and lazy and have such a lack of knowledge in basic customer service or human decency. If this is the new way king soopers is going to treat me or my family I don't ever want to bring my business here again and I want to let my friends and family know so they bring they're business elsewhere. Which is a travesty since I love shopping at king soopers and recommended it to everyone. I was heartbroken to find out that alot of good people left after the strike just to be replaced by wastes of breath like Lorena. She is a new face and not welcoming one at that. And it feels like she gets joy out of treating people this way by how smug she was acting while doing so. She is the type of person I would expect to be working at safeway or walmart not the people who I feel are like family at the Golden King soopers. read more

King Supper Poisoned me with their stupid Petri Dish Deli hot food card. I bought mashed potatoes and got sick, in pain, and vomiting. I tried to return two Blue Rhino propane bottles I purchased from King Soopers. One bottle was empty the other bottle unused. King Soopers refused to take them back. Main beef with this store is that they don't seem to "get" or understand the lunch crowd. I see many people each time I'm there looking unsatisfied with the options. These are high margin items other stores thrive on. Not here. Don't love the following: -Soup is frequently either not out or not out by 11:45 when I come by. -When soup is out, the cracker bin is empty and there's nary a soup spoon to be had (They seem oblivious to the many people I see walking around looking for these items and frequently asking for these items). -The "Grab and Go" hot chicken station in other stores has fish and chicken sandwiches available. NEVER do they have those. Instead they have their cooked full chickens, which by lunch time are long in the tooth and no one is buying. I see at least 1-2 customers every time I'm there going over there and looking for other grab and go items -I don't love the arrangement of the store and find myself wandering all over the place to get items that are in one spot in other stores, such as cheese and yogurt/milk. Also, 2.5 aisles of rarely needed or holiday stuff right when you come in the door. In general I feel a little pressed in here and slightly cramped. -Chicken breast for some reason is often missing pricing. Given the fluctuation they have in price of some products like Purdue chicken, it's frustrating. -Agree with other reviewers that too many staff are just standing around in lengthy conversations with each other and not helping customers. Things I like about it: -New self-scan feature is fantastic for larger trips -Decent options for most product lines -Other customers are friendly and pleasant when you interact with them -Checkout usually efficient and moves fast; many self-checkout units if you're into that read more

King's is a pretty solid grocery store. They have a huge variety and a rather expansive selection of vegetables and fresh meat. The beer selection is seriously lacking, but luckily there is a good store right across the parking lot. The place seemed clean and the staff looked helpful. read more

I cannot help but LOVE this store. Even though I recently moved out of Golden, even though just one town over, I have a Soopers down the block, and still go to the pharmacy here. I have since I moved here 3.5 years ago. I could never leave Brian as my pharmacist. I have quite a few scripts, with a family of 3, and he and the techs take such amazing care of me, every single time. The store itself has incredible management and supervisors who go above and beyond to be sure I am always completely happy. They adore me and my (now toddler, though I went through my pregnancy with these people, haha). The Starbucks staff works hard to keep things clean and treat me great every time. Anytime I need something, someone always jumps to the task of helping out in every way possible. The only time I don't go is when I have to really speed shop, bc we can't go in there and NOT say hi to everyone working. The people here are almost like family. My daughter even has specific people we have to stop for when we go in. I could start listing employees but that would be longer than the review itself. Excellent work, King Soopers, Golden. I have to admit, I can be hard to please, sometimes, but I cannot complain at all. I visit this location often since it's the closest. The customer service is pretty awesome and the store is really clean. But please be careful about checking dates on their merchandise. In the past few months I've accidentally brought home expired merchandise that go back MONTHS and several weeks. It's been happening more often. The store is always crowded no matter what day it is. But the previous suggestion to go at night (usually after 8pm) is the way to go if you can swing it. But beware, you'll have to check out your own stuff and that goes all the way until 8am, as no cash registers are open until then (usually). read more

My prescriptions are filled at this King Soopers - and Brian and the staff are absolutely amazing! I mean it - they are so kind and so caring. My review is mostly based on the staff in the fresh produce section- they will go out of their way to find what you need and if they cannot find the exact item they will give you a discount on a similar item- they rock. However, the store could use a little more staff dedicated to removing expired items from the shelves and especially from the meats and lunchables section. There is nothing more frustrating then having to return to the store to exchange an expired item. But the staff is friendly and always willing to walk you right up the item you are looking for so I will always continue to shop there. read more

The deli is consistently slow, forgets or misses orders placed at the kiosk and is just plain poorly managed. The first time I bought a pound of ground beef from this store and when I got home I found that it was rotten, I thought that it must have been a mistake. Call me stupid but I went back yesterday and bought both a pound of ground beef and a pound of top round and upon opening both packages I found them both to be rotten. I assure you that my refrigerator is functioning correctly and I opened them either on or before the sell by dates of each product. This "my King Soopers" It is a wonderful store with a very very amazing staff. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and it's so nice to have people recognize you and know you by name. My only disappointment with this store is the pharmacy. I have had my prescriptions there for many years and have recently just changed them all to Walgreens. Tom, one of the pharmacists, is very rude and seems to have no patience with clients. On more than one occasion, I had some questions or concerns about a perspiration and he seems very irritated and short tempered, and "too busy" to help. He is also very condescending which is not good thing in any customer service situation. We are a big family and have had out perscipttions here since the store opened. We are now at Walgreens across the street and the customer service is beyond wonderful and accommodating. I think the pharmacy staff needs an overhaul for sure. I will say that Violetta is always very friendly and helpful....she should think about working at Walgreens! thanks! read more
