King Sooper's has a competitive advantage at the north end of Fort Collins and they know it. Their the only grocery store around for miles at this location. They don't have to have competitive practices because of it. Yes, I see clerks standing at the registers while elderly customers have to bag their groceries. This is getting to be standard practices more and more. Many of the employees are very helpful and I thank them for that. Their prices are generally higher compared to Walmart so when you have to search for a cart when arriving at the store, bag your own groceries, and return the carts one tends to feel cheated. I agree with many commenters that the produce is not as they advertise " Fresh For Everyone." I don't blame the stockers. One annoying point regards the fact that they don't have a board displaying where things are located anymore. They make you waste time looking around the aisles. read more

The worker I talked to was helpful when I needed help finding an item. However the changing table in the men's bathroom was dirty and didn't have the safety strap that is supposed to be there. Also they have loose beers but they don't let you buy them individually, you have to buy six. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Daughter needed an epi pen and they said they could get it in 4-5 days. I was prescribed an antibiotic and it still wasn't ready 24 hours later. I've been coming here for years since it opened and love coming here. most of the employees are helpful and friendly. However, past few couple of years, customer service has greatly gone down hill. The lines to checkout are ridiculously &consistently long. There's never enough baggers and I've literally watched baggers walk away with customers still waiting to check out. Today I watched a sweet 80+ year old woman bagging her own groceries while a bagger just basically stood there and watched. When it was my turn, the bagger walked away and as usual, I had to bag my own groceries. This happens 99% of the time when I shop there. If I wanted to bag my own groceries, I'd go to self checkout. However, since I have more than 10-15 items, I'm in the regular checkout line, which is supposed to speed things along. Not so- as usual. After taking over 30 mins to get checked out, , I then had to bag most of my groceries, when finally a bagger walked over to me. I thought he was going to help bag up the last few items, but instead he started handing me items for me to bag. Again, I was waiting in the checkout line for 30 mins- longer than it took me to shop. This needs to change Or I need to be paid to do this store's job because they never have enough qualified staff. Otherwise, I'll use the self checkout no matter how many items have and bag it myself, since I'm already doing it and it will be faster. read more

Not sure why this king soopers gets so many negative reviews. They typically have far better produce quality here and have full check out service open. I usually go in the afternoons and evenings. Very relaxed and fine shopping experience. All king soopers have high prices across the board, so that's people own fault for not picking other stores...imo. read more

Not my favorite king soopers. They are one of the bigger stores. Which is good! It means they usually have more variety and products. The store is not laid out in the same user friendly format of all the other King soopers in town. It has a break in the center aisle and the aisles dont match up so you have more wandering around to do in order to try to get the groceries or items that you need. The clerks and baggers there overall are just not as friendly as the other stores. They seem to have a i dont really a hoot attitude. This is not based off one experience but the many times i have been there. They are just not as friendly or helpful. I dont see much joy in any of the employees at this store. The parking lot is usually full and it is hard to find a spot to park. This would not be my store of choice BUT if you live on the north side of town then this is probably a good spot to go. read more

wow. Just wow. I was struggling with the online app and having Instacart deliver or Kroger deliver and I was fed up and then I called King Soopers and this angel answered. Literal Angel. I am sick and pregnant and extremely exhausted and have a toddler at home and a car that broke down and desperately needed a groceries. We do not have King Soopers in Alabama. So it is always cool to try a. We store. They have a lot of merchandise meaning not just groceries. I found almost everything I needed, but not mineral spirits. And the pharmacy person is wring. it is not In Aisle 55. Because there is no such thing as Kroger or King Soopers in Alabama, I could not get the loyalty discount in my purchase. Like I have any control over rot. It is ridiculous to penalize those who are in the store buying merchandise when you don't have the store in their home location. read more

One self-service lane closed, and 4 checkout lanes closed between 3-5 pm. Kroger made incredible PROFITS over the last 6 years, but they can't seem to hire enough people to run their stores -- because profits over people is their operating principle. I would give this North-end KS a zero if I could. All my experiences with this store have been less than subpar. Produce never lasts long, prices are higher than other stores, staff are ALWAYS rude, as for the pharmacy I have long stopped doing business with because of rudeness, and I have to say that for the first time in over 4 years I shopped there due to how clost it is to my home, and due to illness in the house only to experience the same. Produce section usually excellent, especially in regards to organic selections. Same with canned goods. Bakery usually stocked, and decent meat and seafood. Pretty good wine and beer selection, too. The employees are always super helpful. Only had one issue when flowers on sale didn't ring up with the sale price and unfortunately caught it after I got home. read more

It is weird that this particular King Soopers is so much worse than some others in town. Their selection is a bit less than other stores. But two things stand out. First, they don't stock the store well --- always out of things, empty spots in shelves, and then when you drive all the way to another King Soopers like the one one Timberline, that other store has fully stocked shelves. Second, this store has gone out of its way to separate similar items and put some far from each other so you have to walk back and forth trying to find things. They obviously do this to make you walk down other aisles in hopes you'll buy more, but instead it just frustrates you. Even their staff have trouble finding things. So disappointing. read more

This refers to the King Soopers on Taft and Elizabeth If you have any concerns about Covid regarding safety and respect for others don't go to this store. I went to the store yesterday about 3:30 and I saw several people without masks; a couple were chatting happily with KS staff! My cashier and bagger put on on masks only when I came with mine and then only wore them partially over their faces. I asked if masks were still required and they said only for staff. but I had seen them check out two people in front of me while they not wearing their masks. Items unavailable for online pick up all of the time. Will place order late the night before for the first pickup of the day and still can't get all ordered items. I like to shop the King Soopers on North College in Fort Collins, but the pharmacy customer service is lacking if Robert is working. All other staff have always been friendly and courteous, but Robert is never nice to me. Always short, curt and rude. When I mention that he is being rude he just stares at me. Never a greeting or thank you and the interaction in between is unfriendly. I purchased box wine at ks. The wine bag and box appeared to be blowing up, as if the fermentation process hadn't ceased. The wine was unopened and obviously spoiled. When trying to return or exchange the damaged product I was informed fermented products can't be exchanged. I investigated and this is not Colorado law. This might be the best grocery store that i've been to in Colorado. This King Soopers is HUGE, probably because it's partially a department store. I don't know of many grocery stores where you can buy diamonds, but you can here. Aside from having a department store section they also have a really awesome deli area that has a sushi area, olive bar, high end cheese section as well as the normal staples that you would find in a deli. They also give out free samples of cheese and other things sometimes when your walking though the deli area. In my opinion the best thing about this location is that it carries quite a few products from Europe that are hard to find here. Today was the first time I've ever found conichons for sale in the US outside of Califorina and I'm ecstatic. The Asian food section is also decent, it doesn't have the selection that an Asian grocer would but for a standard American grocery store its far above average. This King Soopers has most of the amenities of a Whole Foods but with prices that aren't insulting. This is easily my favorite place to buy food in fort collins. read more

This King Soopers is a cross between a department store and a grocery store. They have toys, furniture, housewares stuff and so much more! They probably are trying to be competitive with the Super Targets and Walmarts(King Soopers Marketplace locations don't have an electronics department) out there. King Soopers though is pretty selective about opening a lot of these Marketplace locations so you may have to put some extra effort into going to one and off of the beaten path. Despite that, this is a great store! read more
