They were constantly moving, took care of our items & paid extra attention to items we were concerned about. After loading up, we fed them lunch. They were gracious & expressed gratitude for how TOS Academy had changed their lives & given them hope & purpose. They drove two hours to our new home & unloaded everything quickly & efficiently. I often saw them running to & from the truck, even though it meant going up & down a steep driveway & lots of stairs. They even put up bed frames & other items. It was a long, physical day for them. I went out of my way to clearly communicate my expectations before the move: everything needed to be fully wrapped and handled with care. They acknowledged it. They agreed. And then they showed up and did the exact opposite. They didn't even bother to wrap my furniture properly. My dresser and my nightstand were rolled out on a dolly with just a blanket draped over the top -- the entire bottom fully exposed and unprotected. I have photo evidence. This wasn't a mistake. This was how they operate. One of their movers was missing for half the move, and the rest of the crew took 30 minutes to drive across the street. Yes, literally across the street. The level of carelessness and unprofessionalism was beyond anything I've ever experienced. When I confronted them with proof, they first admitted the crew took shortcuts -- then quickly flipped the script and tried to claim that throwing a blanket over a piece of furniture is their "standard practice." That's not a standard -- that's pure negligence, and they had the nerve to defend it. They refused to take accountability. They denied the damage was their fault. And instead of making it right, they offered me a half refund and called it a "goodwill gesture." This company is a scam. They cut corners, gaslight customers, and hide behind empty policies when they're called out. Avoid 801 Moving Company like your furniture depends on it -- because it does. I wouldn't trust them to move a cardboard box, let alone real furniture.

We had a very disappointing experience with All Smiles Moving…read more My mother-in-law booked them based on an estimate provided ahead of time (03/26/26) and paid a deposit. However, on the day of the move (04/09/26), they presented a new estimate that was higher than what was originally agreed to. Before the movers even arrived, my husband had already done a significant amount of the work himself, he moved all the boxes into the garage and disconnected the washer and dryer. The only items left in the home were the large furniture pieces. When the two movers arrived, they even commented that this was going to be an "easy move" because of how much had already been done. We were told a crew of 3 movers would be handling the job, but only 2 showed up for most of the move. A third mover didn't arrive until the last couple of hours to help with the unloading. Because of this, the move took longer than it should have and since they charge hourly, that directly increased the total cost. This seems like normal practice for them, a bait and switch. They also spent an excessive amount of time (about an hour) just wrapping furniture, which again added to the bill. At the end, the total came out to nearly $1,000 significantly more than expected. On top of that, we received inconsistent paperwork with different versions of the agreement, which makes the charges even more questionable. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and misleading. Despite the amount of prep work done ahead of time, the job still took longer and cost more than it should have. If you're considering using this company, I would strongly recommend getting everything clearly locked in writing and confirming crew size before the move starts. Unfortunately, we would not use them again.

I needed to reschedule my move twice and Yard Birds Moving were flexible rescheduling my move. A…read moremoving crew of four arrived on schedule and were quick and careful loading furniture and household goods from our two story town home and a storage unit several minutes from my home. At my new house the unloading went very quick and they took great care to make sure furniture was placed in the correct rooms. The overall process from start to finish took just a little over fours hours. Just one more quick note to recognize Mike the contact person for Yard Birds. We even had to make a stop to our storage unit to drop a couch on our way over to our new home, and the movers were very accommodating with this last minute detour. You are essentially paying $45/hr to have young men assist you with your move. I spoke at length…read morewith the manager prior to scheduling that I needed workers to disassemble & reassemble furniture for a local move. The two young gentlemen that arrived were very nice, but arrived with no tools and no trolly or cart to move the items. I had to find a neighbor to borrow some tools and only one of the helpers could work on taking apart the furniture while the other watched. For 2 1/2 hours of billed work with two workers, I got 2 beds, a couch, an entertainment cabinet and a television brought down 3 flight of stairs. I was left to my own to move those items to the new apartment and reassemble them there. On top of all that, my front door was damaged (which the apartment charged me $75 to fix) when they transported one of those items. If you want a pair of extra hands, you probably would be better off giving local kids $25/hr to come help you out.
