I called King lock smith and keys. Someone came out English was awful. Never asked for my ID. Website said 19.00 emergency and 29.00 starting rate. All he did was put springs and screws inside the key area that had came off. Came up with 282.00 total. I called the office they said just pay him 48.00. We will cancel the call. I paid him 50.00 he took my whole dead bolt off my door ran to his van and took off. I took his license plate number and have his pictures. The supervisor said he was mad and was waiting for him to calm down to bring my lock back. Today is Sunday I still don't have my lock. Don't want it now. We unfortunately contacted this company to come out to change the locks on four doors (TRO effective) and they said they would arrive in 20 min. 90 mins. later we called to check on the status and the guy said the tech would arrive in 24 min. After talking with the tech multiple times, he arrived 45 min. later. We contacted the business for a discount and the tech would not start working until we agreed to the quoted price. Since we were over a barrel and in fear we agreed to the quoted price. While the tech was working we placed two calls regarding a discount to the company and no one would contact the tech or call us back. Another call was placed and we were advised that two messages have been left for the owner. We don't foresee a resolution in the future but want to warn others. read more

He sets up a relatively small window of time to arrive - not the whole day like other service calls -and he let me know 1/2 hour before arriving so you don't have to be stuck at home waiting all day if you have local things to do. When he arrived the good manners and professionalism continued as he checked all the locks to be re-keyed. You've heard all this before but what i want you all to know about is his SECURITY DOWELS. I asked Eric to look at the locks on my sliding doors since I know that is an easy way for thieves to break-in regardless of having an alarm or cameras. They do not care since they only need a few minutes to check for valuables and personal info like ID or account info to steal. He suggested his security dowels he cuts right on the spot for sliding doors and windows. I am so glad I got them. While we were away on vacation SOMEONE ATTEMPTED TO BREAK IN BUT HIS PERFECTLY CUT SECURITY DOWELS STOPPED THEM. Eric went through everything in detail. He was quick and efficient and double checked everything for a reasonable price. I'm so happy with his work and have him in my cell in case of emergency like some other reviewers. Eric was awesome. I had my purse stolen and I had to change the locks immediately at my house. I called him and he was able to come out the same day. He also said he would do a curtesy phone call 30 minutes ahead of time so we didn't have to stay and wait at the house. He was on time and was super nice and fast. He has to come back Monday because the stock bottom locks were so cheap they could not be rekeyed. He did not charge us for the work he did, because it wasn't finished. I was super impressed by that. This is a complete scam!!! I needed to change the locks on the house I bought. I called King Locksmith, they told me it will be $19 for the visit, $29 for a lock change, and they have 30% discount on lock change. Wonderful, I contracted them for the same day. A subcontractor of a subcontractor showed up who had no idea of these prices nor of 30% discount, and he wanted at least $220 from me. We called the customer service together and they blaba-d something about the 30% is only on the labor and the prices are "from" prices. My conclusion: The telephone customer service has no clue what they are talking about. You cannot trust their prices, nor their technical understanding. I called King Locksmith to come out and replace a mailbox lock. They contracted a company called 24/7 locksmith. The technicians name was Benjamin. He said I needed a special united parcel USPS lock for the Mail box and it would be 145.00. He showed me the other locks on the mail box that I would need to match. It was necessary to help safe guard from vandalism. He charged me $200.00 to do the whole job. When he was done I paid him and went down to the mail box. It was not the lock we had discussed. Come to find out it was a cheap $15.00 lock. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! DANGER THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. read more

After explaining to the girl in the office what my problem was and confirming the advertised $19 service call fee they sent someone out. When he got there I told him the same as the office person that my door lock mechanism was stuck and could not open the door to the garage. I had already taken off the door handle to see if I could fix it. He proceeded to tell me to open a locked door is$225!!! I could not believe it thinking this must be quite a job. He proceeded to look at it and in one minute pushed a spring and the door opened, he was going to charge me $19 for the visit and $225 for opening the door for one minute of work and I still did not have a working lock. I felt that it was the old bait and switch game, called the office to complain and the person on the phone had no customer skills to deal with complaints and was not able to get a manager on the phone.If I could give them a less than 1 star rating I would.
