Open 24 hours many days which makes it worthwhile. When in the areea I'll stop in. Never really busy. When thhere is a line starting to grow at the register, they will open the self-serve ones.

Some deals are limited time meaning only on the weekend. They have some interesting items from time to time. I've gotten a kid's play kitchen for my daughter for a great price a couple years ago. They tend to have great toys especially around the holidays that are priced well. The appearance of the store has run down in the last couple of years. Noticeably some of the floors wore out from ware and tare. They also reduced the number of cashier check outs and have focused more on self-checkouts. They recently installed anti theft barriers when you enter and exit the store. When you pay now in the self checkout area you need to scan your receipt to exit the area. There is an employee there still to help out at the self checkout area if someone needs assistance or you prefer to check out with them if there are no regular cashier lines open.

They clearly take many steps to bring you as much food as they can at the best prices they can. Great food selection, service from their very helpful team members. Since this is part of an International chain, most stores mirror each other. I came to a LIDL while in Poland and the look and feel is exactly the same. First time in this location and still managed to buy a fair amount of groceries. Remember... This is not your King Kullen or Stop & Shop. It is not the place to come for all your name brand items. This is how they're different. They move a lot of product here. Very simply displayed. They also have nice wide isles. Makes it easy to move around This is not a flashy store. Works for me... Less glitz more value pricing. In some cases, they cut the box and put it on a shelf. Again, just another way to save us some money on our grocery bills. They also have a very comprehensive supply of meats here too. There are no butchers, fish counters or bakeries here. All the food is packaged in refrigerators and freezers. This is a large location and I was very impressed with the amount of freezers here. Most brands are house brands, hence the ability to save some money on your shopping bills. Bakery items are all packaged. They still have a fair amount of well know brands. Remember to bring your own bags, they are not supplied by LIDL I think they'll do well as people become accustomed to their methodology and I definitely recommend this store. Stop and shop is definitely my favorite of all the chain markets and this location is my favorite among the stores. It's big, bright and clean... The shelves are always stocked and everyone is helpful (especially navigating your way through this food warehouse.) There are in a large shopping center so there is always plenty of parking. It may get more challenging during peak periods, but that's to be expected. We now use our phone as a scanner to make our purchases. It makes the whole shopping process extremely easy... especially on the checkout side. They have a good (and well stocked) meat department. They always seem to have a plentiful supply of frozen fish. There is a good bakery with plenty of selections of cakes, cookies and breads. There are many freezers of frozen foods and they are always having good sales on them as well. I have always been impressed with their fresh fruits and vegetables which are also strategically located around the prepared foods, cheeses, and specialty gourmet items. It is definitely a value store and you must be sure to get a "savings card" to take advantage of the preferred pricing. But... do not fret. If you do not have a card or leave yours at home the cashiers always keep a "house card" available for their customers. They have good sales and we try to take advantage of them. Make sure you bring your own bags or you're charged (.05) for each bag you use. Cashiers smile, say hello and thank you for shopping at their store. You'll never see them standing around texting their friends. Most of the time I try to use the self checkout. These store definitely stands out in the sea of grocery markets located in Nassau County.

A friend recommended it and despite her high praise, even she undersold it. You must get the hummus (I opted for the pine nut) and Turkish eggplant dip (a small container of each will run you $9-10 so it is not cheap but it is worth it). Each dip has the perfect thickness (not to watery or too thick) and was delicious. I heard good things about the bourekas and they had a new brisket boureka out so I bought a pack (10 or so in the package for $22, sold frozen). You heat them in the oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees for 20min. They were absolutely delicious, perfect texture (crunchy outside, soft inside) and the meat inside had so much flavor. For dessert we bought the baklava and pistachio mamoul. Everyone raved about the baklava and I really liked the pistacho mamoul as they were not too sweet (don't let the powdered sugar on the outside fool you). A very kind lady helped me find everything (though if you spend 5min walking around the store which is not that big, you can find everything yourself). Again, everything we bought was absolutely delicious and while it is not inexpensive, you get your money's worth. Absolutely worth checking out, I would be a regular here.

And I have been going here for well over 10 years, and not once has something like this happened until very recently. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shopping at North Shore Farms and appreciate how the store has a variety of products I can't find anywhere else. The store is also always well-stocked and clean, and it's easy to find things. The bakery and hot food sections are also stellar; though the variety of hot food has decreased somewhat over the years they do still updated with new offerings so there is something for everyone. However, I am baffled and disappointed by the fact that this location has put out and sold customers, such as myself, expired items in the refrigerated section in the middle of the store. Just yesterday, June 13th, I bought a ricotta cheese which was in this section and had a "sell before" date of July 8th; upon taking it home it tasted spoiled and we immediately had to discard it. I'm not sure when the item was packed, but I have a gut feeling that the sell by date listed on the box was inaccurate. The other two times I experienced this were also with cheese, as well as with cold cuts. I highly recommend that this location look into ways in which they can prevent spoilage of items from the refrigerated section and ensure that their customers are getting food that is fresh and well-maintained. UPDATE (6/15/2026): Make that *four* times. I bought fresh fish from the seafood counter and was about to cook it last night however, when I unwrapped it from the parchment paper that it had been stored in, I was hit with a significantly rancid smell and I think I was sold fish that was not fresh either. I'm not sure what's wrong, maybe the temperature of the refrigerators in the store aren't high enough, but I really hope that it can be corrected soon because otherwise this location is risking losing a customer in me. Which is a shame because this has been a mainstay store that I have been going to for years and I don't want to risk my health being in danger due to buying spoiled food that is being marketed as "fresh."
