Finally I went to the front desk, where I found out that my teeth were not cleaned, the dentist I saw was incapable of doing anything for implants, I had to come back to get what I made an appointment for today, and I owed $184 for getting essentially nothing done. This is either incompetence, a scam to get more than one appointment, or both. I won't be coming back to this practice, and neither should you.

I tell them I want the regular cleaning that my insurance covers and they refused to give me the service. Not even the x-rays were the regular ones that my insurance covers, it is all a SCAM to charge you more money.

However, in the last year I've seen changes in the practice that have made me decide to find a new dentist. I'm beginning to feel nickel and dimed for everything. For example: if you don't reschedule in 48 hours you are charged $75. This is utterly ridiculous considering that emergencies happen. The cost of fluoride has gone from $25 to $40. The last blow which made me finally decide to never come back is the 3% credit card charge if you don't use a debit card. As we all know dental charges can get costly depending on your needs. Paying an extra 3% is crazy!

She now has an ulcer in her mouth. They can't even repair the damage this butcher did until the hole in her gum heals. I am absolutely livid. Her face was swollen to twice its normal size for days after the procedure, and I finally understand why. There was no communication with me during the procedure. I had to go in and ask these people to let my daughter go home after 3 hours in their office. At that point they finally gave up and referred her to an endodontist, bit the damage was already done. Originally, she wanted the traditional metal braces. During my first conversation, I was refered to another dentist because the establishment does not offer traditional metal braces. Ten minutes later I received a call from the Office Manager Asma El Moubtahij. She provided me with options and education on Invisalign. Currently, I have Invisalign but never thought to get it for my daughter. She gained my trust because recommendation was based on experience. She also created some time on the calendar for a next day appointment. That usually doesn't happen. Originally, my daughter wanted traditional braces because of the colors and she was afraid of loosing the Invisalign trays. After speaking with Asma we realized the benefits of having Invisalign outweighed the traditional metal braces. Having Invisalign will teach my daughter responsibility, provide a warranty, save time, and a headache. I appreciate Asma for taking the time out to educate my daughter. She has the best personality and she speaks highly of the dentist. Asma's people centric attitude gained PW Family dental two customers. Asma has a gift. She is destined for greatness. I am FOREVER thankful for this practice!…read more I went to my general dentist on a Wednesday to extract an infected wisdom tooth as well as supernumerary tooth on the same side after suffering from nearly 2 weeks with pain ! Unfortunately after much force my dentist was unable to remove all of the tooth only pieces, which as you can imagine caused a painful situation to intensify. He wrote me a referral to see an oral surgeon but they were unable to fit me in for nearly 4 weeks out! There was no way I could suffer with a partially removed infected tooth for over a month. I called Oral & Facial Surgery Center of Virginia as soon as they opened at 8am Thursday! With tears in my eyes desperate for a solution. I was greeted by the front desk staff member Abby who was Heaven sent! I explained to her my situation and she went above and beyond! She worked with me and my original dentist to get my records and everything sent over. She understood my pain and was determined to get me seen ASAP! She called me before close of business that day and found me an appointment for the next day Friday! To finish my failed extraction I had to undergo "twilight anesthesia" which gave me quite a bit of anxiety! I have PTSD surrounding anesthesia from some experiences with my daughter being treated for health issues. Everyone that assisted me went above and beyond to comfort my fears and give me the best possible experience! The procedure from start to finish was AMAZING, and the "twilight anesthesia" was a breeze, I literally don't remember any part of the procedure! Dr. Shinwari is a brilliant oral surgeon and I can't thank him enough! He swiftly finished my extraction and put me on the road to recovery! Not even 24 hours later and the pain is almost non existent! I cannot recommend this practice enough!
