Stopped by Dr. Yoon for a guard to help me with my grinding at night. Scheduling was easy and friendly with the receptionists. They were super helpful fitting me in even though I have a very busy schedule and very patient with my many questions about insurance. I have never ever ever been a fan of dentists after having many bad ones in my past (one who even botched a root canal and broke a tooth in the process) so I avoided dentists sadly for about 10 years (so bad I know!) When it came about that I was having serious tooth pain I finally decided to go see a dentist. I found Dr.Schneider in a list of approved providers with my insurance and went to see him, reluctantly. I must say that if every dentist and their dental assistants were like this no one would hesitate to go to their dentists. Not only was he pretty funny but he is thorough and kind. He has accommodated my ridiculous schedule against his own plenty of times even right before Christmas and has never FORCED me to feel like I have to do things. Sure he presses certain issues if they are serious enough but I don't feel pressured like I do with other doctors in general not just dentists. This is the first time in my life that I actually go get my 2 cleanings a year, schedule them 6 months in advance and stick to it. The dental assistants and staff are always smiling and they are all really friendly. I actually look forward to cleanings just because I enjoy talking to the woman who does my cleanings, she is gentle and she is pretty awesome. I have been a patient for a couple years now and recommend everyone to come here. The best part about this office is that I have never ever had to wait past my scheduled time to be seen. This must be the only place on the face of the Earth that actually makes appointments at a certain time and they stick to it. I used to work at a doctor's office myself so I would know, we were NEVER on time for patients there for one reason or another but here, they always are. read more

I give their dental hygienists 5 stars! However, the doctor is extremely rude, I would give the rest of the staff, including dentist a "0", if I could. Dr. Yoon takes it personal when you decide to get your root canal with a different dentist that actually specializes in Root Canals, and their office (equipment and such...) does not look like a picture out of a 1982 dental magazine. ....So, I decided to go back for cleaning (because their hygienists are really good), the receptionist "Sung" was in the middle of scheduling something for me and all of a sudden she said she needed to take her lunch and would return my call. I had originally called for Dr. Schneider, but unfortunately, he retired...so I am good staying with my current dentist, they are far MUCH better overall. This guy is extremely arrogant and refuses to give you care if you somewhere else for specialize treatment. Good luck! read more

As a military spouse, I've experienced dentist all over the country. Dr. Yoon and the staff at Springfield Dental Solutions is by far the best service I've ever received. Dr. Yoon is always friendly, professional and genuinely interested in caring for you. The staff is welcoming and helpful. They were always able to schedule appointments when it was convenient for me and were very knowledgeable about the best ways to maximize my dental insurance benefits. I never waited very long for my appointment or felt rushed. Dr. David Yoon is a wonderful dentist. I did not like going to the dentist however, now that Dr. Yoon is my dentist, I actually look forward to my appointments. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and well spoken. He takes his time with patients to speak with them and find out how life is treating them. He does very good dental work. I also love the staff. Everyone who works there is wonderful. Beth, my hygienist is awesome. I can't wait to go in and have my teeth cleaned. She does a great job. I have been looking for an ethical dentist in the Northern VA area now for 7 months. My dentist in Herndon retired and another dentist bought out the practice. I decided to try out the "new guy" (Marcos Grande DDS) and go for a cleaning, 6 months post the last time I was there. They said they couldn't do the cleaning unless I decided to have an additional $745 worth of work done first. I knew what they were trying to do. So I looked for another dentist and ended up at Bright Now Dental. WOW, what a mistake. They should be called "Not Now Dental" because they were awful. Dirty equipment, unfriendly and anything but helpful. They couldn't clean or polish my teeth unless I paid them to do root work on teeth that didn't require root work, totaling around $600!!! Unbelievable. In my continued pursuit to find an ethical and reputable dentist, my wife found Dr. Allen Schneider in Springfield, VA. I thought I would try him out and see if he was the "Third Strike." Well, I can tell you it was more like a "Home Run!" It was the most delightful, painless and friendliest experience I have had since leaving my dentist in Allentown, PA. From the minute I walked in, (greeted with a smile from Kelli and Stephanie and a "How Are You Today?") to the time I met Jackie (dental hygienist) who introduced herself, was very friendly and described for me everything she was doing and was going to do on my teeth. 45 minutes later she had cleaned and polished my teeth as well as X-rayed them for cavities. Dr. Schneider walked in and was extremely cordial, introducing himself while examining the work Jackie performed on my teeth. He recommended I come back for another cleaning/polishing in 6 months, which is standard. I will give this practice 5 stars and challenge anyone to find a better dentist that has an all around delightful, friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to all of you for making my visit a positive one. This doc "done me wrong" twice! Stay away unless you like to be physically restrained because the doctor doesn't want to give you anethisia! When I was in for a filling and the little bit of novacain he gave me wasn't working, instead of giving me an additional injection, he held me down with his left arm and continued to drill away with his right! I squirmed as best I could, but not wanting any more pain I put up with it just so I could get out of the office! Later I needed to get my front teech capped after I chipped one of them. After he had finished setting them, he started grinding one of the teeth down because he said they looked too perfect and he needed to make them uneven so they would not look like caps. I told him to stop as my real teeth were both identical before they were chipped, but he said that just wasn't likely. When I got home my wife was appalled at how uneven they were (I couldn't really tell looking at the little mirror from the dentist chair) and how they stuck out. I went back to the office the next day complaining about the teeth, and siad if he would look at the molds he took he would see that the new caps where not right. He said he just threw out my molds the day before (even though his cabinet was full of molds from previous patients). I resorted to just having him grind the other tooth down to make them even. This is the worst dentist I could ever imagine and this doc should have his license pulled. read more

Allen Schneider is a TERRIBLE Dentist. I had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!. First, we was arrogant and pushy with things that needed to be done. After the evaluation, I got a follow up appointment, but he never told me what he wanted to do. Of course, once I was there he wanted to start with the expensive stuff, so there was no previous statement of how much it was going to cost, and once that I was on his chair he wanted me to make a quick decision; which I felt it was ackward, but accepted to go for what he suggested and left his office with a $600 bill that I did not have planned on spending on a visit. The guy did a poor job and he wanted me to stick to it and accept it. Allen Schneider was yelling at me and he was trying to intimidate me. The whole experience was a nightmare. His staff was kind and very apoligetic, but the dentist runs the show and the assistants follow his orders. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Schneider since I retired from the Army in 2000. I saw him first and after one appointment brought in my then pre-teen sons who have been his patents since then as well. I remarried in 2003 and my wife and her two kids have been seeing Dr Schneider since then too. His staff is kind, considerate and absolutely professional and so is he. I have entrusted him with the dental health of my family and we have all followed his recomendations and have benefitted from it. I can't figure out why there are any poor reviews for Dr Schneider. He has been my family's dentist about 4 years and all four of think this is the best dental office we have ever visited. Very friendly staff, goes out of their way to adjust to any issues we have while there for cleanings, fillings etc., and best of all he really tries to work with us to keep our out of pocket expenses down by working around dental insurance regulations (like recommending we wait a month for a procedure so it is in the next fiscal year when annual maximums are met). read more

I give my highest rating to Dr. Schneider and Dr. Yoon at Springfield Dental Solutions. They are both thoroughly knowledgeable and skilled on all aspects of dentistry. In addition, they intrinsically care for the well being of their patients. My mother was treated by Dr. Schneider for several years. At the time, she was suffering from dementia and other geriatric issues. Dr. Schneider and his staff showed her the utmost kindness and gave her the very best dental care. My family sees Dr Schneider and Dr. Yoon, and will not go anywhere else. Recently, I went to Dr. Schneider because I was having a problem with a tooth implant performed by another dentist. Dr. Schneider was thoroughly aware of the nuances of the problem due to his vast experience in all aspects of dentistry. He was able to quickly and skillfully solve the problem.
