I am really happy I made the switch! The office is located in a strip mall in Burke Centre, and has plenty of parking and is easy to access. The interior space is very pleasant, soothing, and immaculate, perfect for a dental office. Better yet, EVERYONE who works here is very warm, helpful, and friendly. After my initial visit in early March of this year, I had to come back for some more work, and I'm happy to say that they cheerfully re-scheduled my appointment several times when the stay-at-home orders started for the coronavirus. When I finally went in towards the end of May, they had multiple precautions in place against the virus. Since I am an older adult, I really appreciated this attention to my health and that of others. My actual dental care was terrific. Both the hygienist and the dentist, Dr. Ghorbani, took time to explain everything to me. It turns out I needed a crown (my first one), but I was not surprised as it was for a tooth that I had suspicions about. Due to some tooth coloration issues, he had my crown made not at his usual lab, but at one somewhere out west that specializes in matching tooth enamel in appearance. He warned me that it was more expensive, but I felt that having a nice-looking tooth (you can see the crown with my normal smile) was worth it. As it turns out, the total bill for all the work, after my insurance paid, was much lower than I thought it was going to be! Dr. Ghorbani and the rest of the Shield Dental Care staff treated me with respect, warmth, and gave me the best possible care. I recommend them to anyone!

Here there's none of that irritation, although teeth can be slightly in that fashion after a thorough cleaning. Pain is weakness leaving the body! Admittedly us cavemen aren't always the best with our pearly whites, but this fellow has high praise for their education. It's not pushy, but rather informative. Due to this practice, they planted a seed about teeth/gums and heart health. That's the kind of enlightenment you should get. Here Steve Martin isn't on the staff, but rather Dr G who is actually a really nice guy. Some orthodontists can have this attitude that negatively permeates a practice. That's the opposite here, as he's very genuine, and honest about what your options are. He's also quite funny, and having had novacaine I think it's called shots from him, he's far more gentle than others in the field. I asked to talk to the dr about it and was told to wait but after 20 minutes of waiting I had to leave. I came back and had it done. About a month ago the pain came back. I went to my dentist and got x-rays and they told me to go back to Dr. Fein as he should be open to redoing the work if it wasn't done correctly. I go see him today and immediately he claimed that the pain was due to the filling my dentist did being done incorrectly or a new infection. He wouldn't even think that it may have not been done fully or he may have missed something. I was told coldly that I could have it retreated, at my own cost. He would absolutely not do anything unless I paid for it. I sent an email regarding thei to he and my dentist in which Dr. Fein replied and denied he had charged me for a deep cleaning and that he never said that my filling wasn't done correctly. He made up a bunch of words and replied to the email. It was in total BS. He actually lied in this email! Read the good reviews but also read the bad ones. This guy apparently does a good job on most but anyone he doesn't do a good job on is refused any type of follow up care or refund. It's a crap shoot and too expensive of one to take. This guy took way more time in replying to my email and lying about what he said then he ever took explaining the bill or the process to me. He words his response email as though he is so professional. He's not. I guarantee he charges everyone an extra "deep cleaning fee" whether they need it or not. Go elsewhere!

He then proceeded to charge my husband half price ($1,000), and told him to come back to get the rest done if the tooth could be saved, and he will then charge him the rest of the fee. WHY DID HE START AND QUIT HALFWAY IF HE HAD THIS DOUBT?

Dr. Bernard Lynch doesn't use this device because he says it's overkill. So if you're hoping for more insight on TMD and your jaw position, you won't get it here. It's advertised on his website that a one-on-one comprehensive evaluation will be done that can last up to 2 hours. This is not true. He will spend around 15 minutes doing basic checks. This will cost you $200. Also he was a bit disrespectful when I asked questions about my symptoms. When Dr. Lynch heard that I read about TMD, he was very dismissive and said I shouldn't waste my time with that. He treated me like I was a nerd for trying to learn about dentistry. Not only was I seen quickly due to my tooth pain, but Dr. Patel took his time explaining his assessment and thoroughly went over my treatment with me prior to proceeding. I was so relieved to be in good hands because the procedure went quickly and without much pain. Dr. Patel and his team made sure I was comfortable and relaxed so he could get the job done. When I returned to the dentist for a crown, he mentioned how impressed he was with the quality of the root canal!! Fast forward to 2023, my new dentist suspected a cracked tooth and referred Dr. Patel unsolicited. She too said he was one of the best in the area to determine what I needed. Due to severe tooth pain, Dr. Patel saw me right away despite having a full schedule that day. Once again, he and his team were thorough, professional, understanding and committed to making me feel comfortable. It turns out my tooth was fractured and Dr. Patel took time to explain his assessment making sure I left with an understanding of what needed to be done. He recommended an oral surgeon who is well known and has an equally stellar reputation. Dr. Patel followed through with his promise to discuss my fractured tooth with the oral surgeon's office so that the practice knew exactly what care was needed. This is quality care at its finest!! Dr. Patel always answered my questions in terms I understood and took the time to explain the problem and treatment. He never tried to recommend services not needed as some dentists have done with me in the past. Dr. Patel's practice is an exception to the norm and a must if you need Endodontics treatment.

I don't have dental insurance, so I was an easy target for the office that told me I had multiple cavities. Dr. Davani is clearly honest and I'll be a patient for as long as I'm in this area.
