Before treatment, the office told us that our insurance wouldn't cover much and asked us to put down a large upfront payment. Later, when we received our benefits statement, we learned that we actually only owed about 20% of what they'd asked us to pay. When we contacted the office to request a refund of the overpayment, they claimed they had not yet received the insurance payment. This was especially frustrating because, according to the insurance company, the payment had already been processed and they had cashed it within four days of the claim being disclosed. Based on my experience, I feel the office was not transparent or honest about the insurance and payment situation, and dealing with them has been one of the most unpleasant medical office experiences I've had. If you have other options, I would strongly recommend staying away from this practice because of the way the office handles billing and communication, even though the dentist himself seems fine.

My Experience With This Practice…read more Dr. Amir was the surgeon who performed my wisdom tooth procedure. I had all four of my wisdom teeth scheduled to be removed at this practice. I paid for all four extractions, and my insurance was also billed for all four. I also paid the required copay for each tooth. I underwent general anesthesia and went through the recovery and pain believing that all four teeth had been removed. After the procedure, I was told by Dr. Amir and the staff that the procedure had been completed. At my follow-up appointment, I was again led to believe that everything had been taken care of. Later, I visited my general dentist, who took X-rays and informed me that one of my wisdom teeth was still present and had not been removed. I returned to the practice and brought this to Dr. Amir's attention. He apologized and asked me to contact the staff regarding a resolution. After contacting the staff, I was reimbursed only the $136 copay associated with the tooth that had not been removed. What makes this even more frustrating is that because of this mishap, I now have to go through another extraction and another round of recovery, pain, and inconvenience--something I should not have had to go through if the procedure had been completed correctly the first time. My concern is that I was charged for a procedure that was not fully performed, my insurance was billed for all four teeth, and I was not informed that one tooth remained until my general dentist discovered it through X-rays. So, they do updated xrays and we move forward with the consultation and I schedule an appt to get my sons wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was scheduled more than 30 days out... the evening before the appointment on June 6, 2025, I received a call saying the insurance was still not confirmed and unless i wanted to pay out of pocket, they would have to reschedule the appointment. I asked them to call me back to schedule once they verify insurance. This place NEVER called back. What I have received, 2 billings for $10.93 with no indication why i was billed. I get it it's $10.93, it least its not $110.93. I paid this a month ago because I realize this place is not good and I just want them to go away. Today, August 1, 2025, I received the same billing for $10.93. I called at 330pm on a Friday and the office is closed, but the office hours are listed to be open til 430pm. The point in all this is, don't waste your time with this practice, find a better place for you or your family member to be put under and have someone cutting into your mouths.

After a 3D X-Ray - Dr. Lui took a look - and he was able to extract the fragment of bone - it was small and popped right out. Apparently if there is a fragment of tooth or bone from previous dental work - it can start to work its way outward - the body is attempting to "eject" the fragment. I had no idea the fragment was surfacing, I did not feel it. Fortunately, Dr. Lui popped it right out with no need for any local anesthetic.
