Popped in for mani/pedi based on recent reviews and was disappointed. I was in a bit of a rush and didn't notice anything obvious at first, but once I was in the chair I noticed the following: (1) horror movie playing on the tv (eg kid is possessed and parents are losing their mind) (2) not the cleanest (eg towels, instruments, etc) (3) mani/pedi quality was mediocre (eg paint job was inconsistent and chipped within 24 hours) Needless to say, it was not the relaxing and rejuvenating experience I hoped it would be. read more

If you ask me what place I would never ever ever EVER go back to, this is the one!!! I hated it so bad, all of it. I never left such a bad review for a business and a employee before, because even tough sometimes there is bad service I don't want to cause people to lose their jobs. But I couldn't save this one, i need to advice you, so hopefully you won't have the horrible experience I had, and won't trow your money on the trash like I did. So let me tell you what happened: I came yesterday (March 1, 2017) and a lady that I don't know the name (the older one) started doing my nails, And I had a gel polish on my nails when I arrived. So she removed half of it, YES half... I still had lots of the old polish on my nails and she was ready to put the new one on top. So I said: "I still have old polish on my nails, you need to remove it cause it's not even looking level, smooth. And she started speaking on her language yelling saying that it was my nails foult got her stuff and left. Really? What the fuck? And you had to see my nails. So a guy that I believe was the owner come to finish it and I kept saying that it wasn't looking good, that it wasn't level, that she didn't do it well, and he kept it almost the same, fixed here and there because I asked, so it got a little better than it was, but still didn't look good, and if I show you my the final nails, already "improved" after all my complains, the way I left this place you would not even believe I just had my nails done. It's the worst ever! I came home and believe me, removed all they did and left it without anything, because anything was better than what they did. I'll post a picture right now so you guys can see and tell by yourself. And to top it up, she was looking at me with a ugly gave the whole time and making very personal questions, making me very uncomfortable. I very sorry that I had to leave my money because for me I would have them remove all and give my money back. Look at the tree pictures (pink nails) I just posted it. Came in to get my feet scrubbed down for a wedding. I don't get pedicures ever really, and this was my second or third time in my life. Anyways, the lady was nice and went to work, hauling off a lot of debris, but now one of my big toes is red, swollen, and really painful. Pretty sure it's infected. I would ask them about sanitary procedures. Bottom line, I'm going to just sack up, buy a rock and handle it myself from now on. read more

Friendly atmosphere in a family-owned joint. I first stumbled in to King Harbor Nails three years ago needing a cracked nail repaired. I've since become a loyal and regular customer. The staff is very sweet and professional. What can't Amy do? She does great manicures and pedicures that last me for weeks; she's very gentle and efficient with her waxing services; and she does a beautiful job of eyelash extensions. My 7 y/o daughter frequently accompanies me to my appointments and Amy always does the cutest nail designs on her little nails. Their prices are very reasonable and everyone there is always very friendly. read more

My manicurist one day just up and left this shop. I was still having pedicures done here; however, they are not the friendliest of people even when someone that's been patronizing the shop for years walks through the door. They don't smile or use your name. (It's also pretty much a given that Vietnamese will be spoken around English-speaking customers. If you find a salon that doesn't do that, let me know!) This place was a little spot I went to only beacause my regualar nail salon was completely booked when I walked in. There prices are good, I got acrylic and a regular pedi. My feet were still crusty at the edges and white when I looked at them later and my nails were not cut or filed evenly across. I could have done better myself. Great service but horrible quality on full sets! I got my nails done the other week and within 2 days, three of my acrylic nails came off... I called them and they told me I had to pay $3/nail for them to fix them. All of the places I have gone to in the past, always fix them for you for free. I paid them $10 tip and was highly disappointed. That's what happens when you go to a random nail place... Stick to the good ones that are around.. I went in yesterday with my neighbor and was pleasantly surprised. I was going across the street to another salon and paying almost double. I like that it's a small here. Don was very pleasant. There was no pretentious attitude at King Harbor. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure for $45 + tip. You don't get a super long massage just the basics, but that is fine for me. Eyebrow threading is advertised on their window. DO NOT get your eyebrows threaded here. They thread very few hairs and then pluck the rest out. I could have plucked my own eyebrows and did a better job. She butchered my eyebrows. read more

Talk all you want to in another language, but at least give me a decent pedicure. I waited patiently in the "spa" chair for at least 5 minutes, which I don't find very cool. I find that using the spa chair as a deterent for losing a customer somewhat annoying. In addition to that, don't rush through the process once you get started. This little gem will surprise you! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it delivers. I followed nail technician, Cam, from another salon - and I am very happy with this one. The owner/manager, Don, is very personable, as are all the staff. But, for a really wonderful nail experience, or waxing, ask for Cam - she is excellent at manicures, pedicures (she even does intricate 3D designs!) and waxing. I would follow her to any salon, but I'm happy she chose this one. A very -nice- group of people. Some salons make you feel like they talk about you while you sit there - not this salon!
