Really aggravated. Their hours say 5am-1pm, do they stay open that long? Do they continue to make food until close to close? No. No, they do not. Made a recent DoorDash order and they didn't provide the items requested. Why? Because they apparently sold out of nearly everything. It was 10am, no where near close to 1pm or even 12pm for that matter. Instead of issuing a refund they tossed items in there with no regard for what the customer requested. So now I'm out money. Best part? They shut their phone off because they have no inventory left. Apparently even the cooler was bare. This used to be my favorite breakfast joint. This has happened too often for that to remain true. Do better. read more

Yes 5 stars for King Donuts! They are made FRESH DAILY!!! Nothing better getting warm just made donuts. I must say my 2 favorites are the Apple Fritters and Boston Creme filled, my children like the twist, Long John and holes. They also offer other breakfast sandwich which I haven't tried yet, but see them being sold to many while I wait in line. Hot coffee served, but if you want cold milk or juice with your yummy warm delights they have many different types of drinks in bottles you can grab while waiting. They do sell out fast of many types but they do make enough to get them thru end business day.. So when out and about and find yourself in Charlestown check out these yummy donuts! read more

Who doesn't like donuts? This is a fairly new donut shop that opened in an old pizza restaurant. Stopped in late day right before they closed at 5pm. Since it was so late not a lot to choose from but still had a decent variety. I bought six donuts which was a mixture of cake and yeast donuts plus the last two apple fritters left in the case. All donuts were good, BUT the apple fritters are awesome! For those not familiar with apple fritters, to me there are two basic styles. There's the more high raised yeast style with cinnamon and apple pieces folded in. Then there's the flatter more crispy fried version. King's is the flat fried and crispy. Wow are they good. One of my favorite apple fritters ever, and I've eaten a lot of donuts in my time (no I wasn't a policeman) ha ha! read more

My sister and I tried King's for the first time today while waiting for an oil change at the Meineke down the street and were not disappointed! We came in after a recommendation from the manager at Meineke and we were excited to try somewhere we hadn't been! This place is small and quaint with a huge assortment of donuts, sandwiches, and smoothies. The staff was super friendly and the donuts were delicious and super fresh. Stopped in for a coffee as we were staying at the campground. Ended up taking a doughnut back for everyone. I enjoyed my blueberry cake doughnut and took back two custard filled eclairs with chocolate icing and a doughnut with apple filling. Everyone in the group enjoyed a selection. Deducted a star because the coffee was very weak, so watery. If the coffee had been good, it would have been a five star stop. read more

I suggest you go early for the best selection. The doughnuts are warm and amazingly soft. They've spoiled me to the point that I won't buy doughnuts from places where I used to buy them. The staff is courteous and your doughnuts will be neatly and carefully boxed for you. The coffee's pretty good too although I wish they had sleeves for the cups. I feel very lucky to have this shop so close by. read more
