I ordered a cake for a coworker who loves brussel sprouts. Sweet Stuff Bakery went above and beyond to make my vision come through. In addition to the cake making a visual statement, it tasted so incredibly good. If I am ever back in Louisville I will make a point to order another cake from them. Totally in love.

my husband and i came in to order a last minute cake for a pregnancy reveal. it turned out very cute and was delicious! exactly what i was hoping for. everyone was very helpful and made the process quick and easy for us. :) i've tried their donuts as well in the past and would definitely recommend them. i'll be excited to return to try some more goodies!

Some cake pops from Sweet Stuff! So many different flavors, velvety texture, and super cute :)

Sweet stuff bakery has become my official go-to bakery since working in southern Indiana. I'm lucky enough to receive sweets as a gift on a regular basis due to the nature of my career, so I've had my fair share of sampling from Sweet Stuff. I'm also going through Sweet Stuff for my wedding cake toward the end of the year and I have no second thoughts about it. Every dessert I've had from Sweet Stuff has been absolutely decadent. From the Halloween cookies, to the Valentine's cake pops, to the wedding cake samples. Everything has tasted phenomenal and has looked impeccable in terms of presentation. Even the donuts are cute! These are the desserts that I imagine fairies and princesses indulging in, except you don't have to be a mythical creature or royalty to get in on these tasty treats. Sweet Stuff is always my first recommendation to anyone for desserts.

Absolutely loved have Sweet Stuff Bakery do our wedding cake and grooms cake!! Robin was absolutely lovely to work with. They were very flexible and extremely reasonably priced!! They provide you a fresh top cake layer on your one year anniversary

Yellow with chocolate butter cream, yum!

Have only been once but the yellow cake with chocolate butter cream frosting was the best slice of cake I've ever had (and I've had a lot lol). Frosting was so buttery and sweet and the cake was super moist (sorry if that triggered anyone).

Our family had a Zoom birthday party for my grandson. His mother, my daughter ordered chocolate cupcakes with caramel icing for all participants. My daughter delivered (contactless) cupcakes to every household. Prior to these cupcakes, we've ordered numerous layer cakes from Sweet Stuff and every cake has been awesome. I'm happy to report, their cupcakes are every bit as good as their layer cakes. The cupcakes were moist and very tasty. The caramel icing was delicious without being too sweet. As an added bonus, Sweet Stuff does curbside pick up! Sweet Stuff is our family's go to for cakes and now cupcakes too!

We recently used Sweet Stuff Bakery for our 25th Wedding Anniversary Party (Vow renewal). They we're great to work with and provided several samples of the variety of cakes that they offer. Everything was seamlessly completed with delivery to our venue (Huber's Winery Plantation Hall). They we're spot on with the finished decorations and used the same flowers that matched my bouquet.

My husband and I recently moved here, and have been to this bakery many times. However this last time, someone obviously was not wearing a hair net as we had a hair in our cake. Completely unacceptable

The baked goods here are irresistible. I'm obsessed with their cheese danish (honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their pastries). Whether it's a muffin or a fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, you can taste the love and homemade quality in every bite. On the savory side, the chicken and waffles is a must-try! And don't get me started on their biscuits and gravy--pure comfort food that hits the spot every time. Leavin Bakery is more than just great food... the atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. It's super cozy, always friendly, and the perfect neighborhood hangout. I can't wait to come back and explore their lunch menu--if it's anything like breakfast, I know it's going to be amazing.

The bakery and bread items were plentiful and everything looked delicious. The cinnamon roll was our favorite and it will be the reason to return. I also loved my lemon lavender scone, eating half there and taking home the other half for dessert. I wasn't as happy about the sides from the grill. My eggs were extremely peppery and I gave up eating them because every bite was overwhelming. My two slices of bacon were hard and pitiful, definitely not worth the cost. My friend noted her sausage as "interesting". The space has seating at the grill and two rooms, with one being crowded because of the incoming crowd. However, we were so happy to be there that we didn't mind the visitors and no one was rude to us as they walked along the ordering counter. The owners are a husband and wife team. She was friendly and talkative and we loved her the pride she took of the shop. We left with more pastries and bread. Such great selection and pricing. This is a reason to promote this shop. I've paid more for less quality but now know to come to Leaven Bakery.

Sexy Beast is a formidable adversary who refuses to bend to the will of a lesser deity, so I often find myself on a scavenger hunt for a carbohydrate sacrifice while he peruses a humidor or flaps his yap at somebody about his latest commandment or something. That's how I ended up with a box of the most delightful, lovely little lemon cookies ever baked, anywhere. Ever. I wandered into this brightly colored storefront while Sexy Beast was a few doors down (at Kaiser's) and was offered up a brilliant smile and a chipper greeting. The case was filled with sugary manna but my eye was drawn to the ribbon bedecked colorful confections. They were almost too pretty to eat. Almost. The cookies were delicate and light and perfectly sweet with just enough lemon flavor to identify but not so much that it overwhelmed the very obviously real butter and love that went into them. The natives of New Albany were spared the tumult of a hurricane or an erupting volcano thanks to Rookie's Cookies. Y'all might want to thank someone with a goat or a bottle of champagne or something.

We searched for a boba shop nearby (and even not so nearby) and Mochi Wren Boba & Bakery in downtown New Albany came up at the top of the list offering an authentic variety of popular boba tea, coffee, and latte options and also a fusion yummy array of traditional Asian baked goods. Okay, let's go... Not far from Boomtown Kitchen and New Albany Candy Shoppe we walked to this boba cafe. It was a quiet Saturday evening and the we were the only ones in the shop the entire time we were there. We chose coconut milk tea and strawberry fruit tea for our drinks and on the bakery side we got the last two egg tarts left and a chocolate cake roll slice. I love egg tarts and theirs was just like the Hong Kong-style version of the ones we get in San Francisco Chinatown, lightly sweetened, flaky, buttery pastry and smooth. As far as the drinks we both love smoothie or blended drinks and sadly they did not offer this... hopefully, they can add this option to their menu in the future. Instagram: @mochi_wren Review #3879

Because it was bigger than my head (ok, maybe this is a slight exaggeration but not by much) i had to disassemble it to eat it in stages. First off were the waffle fries and I found them to be tasty, crunch and fluffy in all the right spots. Once the taters were off I cut that biggie baby in 8 'Oh My Danwich' slices. Y'all, I rarely find myself at a loss for words, even my high dollar, 10 letter ones, but I can't fill this space with all the adjectives I would want in describing this sanwich that would make you want breakfast for every meal. The sausage had that savory salty pork taste that makes you happy you're not a vegetarian with an egg slice that was fluffier than my German Shepherd's downy fur. The cheese even had a nice pull with the topper being their chive aioli. And that sandwich was just the beginning because I also ordered a Strawberry Cruffin, Bourbon Peach hand pie and a raspberry Danish to have as late night snacks. The handpie didn't do it for me. The peaches lacked flavor that I found myself asking bestie if she wanted it because I was jiat going to toss in the trash after just 2 bites. The strawberry mascarpone cream in the cruffin was silky smooth and berrylicious with the croissant being flaky and fluffy. It was almost like a sweet and savory after school snack. The kind of bakery item that keeps you coming back for more. And more. And the piece de resistance was the raspberry Danish. I've lived my 61 years learning to never turn down raspberry anything and today, my raspberry research paid off. One hundred percent tenfold. Even though the glaze drizzle was super sweet, the flaky danish offset it with that light crunch but fluffy innards. Y'all, with each bite I just fell more in love. The Danish was so good that when I came to my last bite not only was I sad that it would soon be gone but I wanted to cry. Cry y'all. Over a Danish! Yes, do it. You only live once. Order the Danwich & the Danish. You won't be sorry. You can pay me in Butchertown gift cards. Or Bourbon. Hubby's brother lives across the Ohio so, next time he goes to visit them I'm going with him. Just so I can drive over here and try their lunch items and grab more danishes. The folks were super friendly, the place both clean and quiet. Which, kinda surprised me because the food is so good I couldn't understand why there weren't lines around the block. That changed the longer we dined in as folks just started roaming in. I said to my friend that the Louisville folk must get started late in the day.
