WOW! Yelp is never wrong when a place shows up as having 5 stars! I was in the area and wanting to get some ice cream to go. I looked up ice cream shops on Yelp and this one came up so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked in I said "omg this is so cute!". I felt like I had gone back in time. Needless to say I decided to actually sit down and enjoy my ice cream inside the parlor. I was greeted by a really nice girl who asked if I had been there before and when I said I hadn't, she walked me through the menu. You can try up to 3 options which is good because it is so hard to choose! I decided to do the Kitty Kitty Bang Bang ice cream and it was delicious! When I paid I got a frequent shopper card which I was glad because I will definitely be back! Such nice service!

We are from out of town and looking for a sweet treat after dinner. The ice cream wasn't too sweet and the flavor options made it do everyone in the group could find something they liked. There were even dairy free options! The staff was so friendly and allowed us to taste a few before having to make a final decision. The shop is very warm and inviting. If we had a cooler we would be taking some pints how with us.

I found out about this place last summer by seeing it on someone's Instagram story. The first intrigue comes with the name. I tend to like my things unique and this place says that their cups and cones are Uncommon. Sold! I'm trying it out. It's tough to choose a flavor here(they have so many!). I haven't had a disappointing flavor yet. The first time we kept it simple... cups and cones of what we wanted. Another time, we took a group and ordered a flight! They have flights of ice cream here! You get 8 scoops for a decent price... it's literally only 7 or 8 bucks for a flight. I'm tempted to order a flight when I go by myself. The place feels homey. If it was more comfortable, you could stay in there all day eating ice cream. My favorite thing about this place are the waffle cones and the smell. I brought it up on a visit and the employee mentioned how they were baking in the back so I think they make their own cones. From the smell, you can tell that they do. Things are tasty here... including the smell! The cones also aren't hard... they crumble as you bite into your ice cream... perfection! It's also next to the donut shop in New Albany so look out if I ever catch both of them open at the same time. This is easily one of my favorite ice cream shops in the area. I wish it wasn't a trip to the other side of the river. Anytime I'm in the area, I'm stopping in without hesitation. Notes: - The price is right. - Street parking but it's New Albany. You aren't going to have an issue finding parking. - They have an upstairs that you can rent out. - The employees seem happy here. - At least 20 flavors(if I'm remembering correctly).

While on vacation, visiting the grandkids, we stumbled upon this unique ice cream shop. The owners, greet each visitor to their shop. They have 28 flavors, most very unique. We tried two of them, Zoreo, chocolate with swirled marshmallow, Oreo's and chocolate chunk. Also, Mackinac Island Fudge, vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge ripple, and chunks of chocolate fudge. We recommend these or any of their other unique flavors. They also offer the traditional vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Any of their flavors can be made into a milk shake, sundae's or even a banana split. The shop is decorated uniquely with off set table and chairs with a welcoming vibe. If your in the area, stop by, say hi and enjoy a wonderful ice cream experience.

After a day of errands, my friend and I decided we wanted something sweet. We danced around with ideas, when my friend thought of a new spot called Uncommon Cups & Cones. I'm not going to lie; I hadn't heard of it. I feel like as being a Wisconsinite, I'm pretty well versed in the ice cream department. This was a new one. And let me tell you how thrilled I am that we visited. The building is bright teal - I love it! It makes it easy to find and stand out from the busy streets of Vincennes Street in New Albany.  We parked and hurried in. This ice cream parlor is unlike anything I've visited here, with a quilt-like design on the ceiling; with bright, welcoming patterns, ice cream scoopers decorating the walls, a variety of mismatched, antique tables and chairs gives this place a cozy feeling! I could have sat in the comfy armchair indulging in ice cream all day.  A stairway to additional seating also can be used as a meeting room.  I think I need to have some of my work meetings here - who's going to say no to ice cream midday while discussing appropriate behavior? The owner, Kim B. is the sweetest! She welcomed us and explained we could sample any flavors we wanted. I actually tried 3 - Banana Cream Pie, Muncie Madness, & Raspberry Rhapsody.  All divine - ended up ordering a half scoop of Munchie Madness & Banana Cream Pie (went well together nicely.)  I am a sucker for a homemade waffle cone, but I opted for the ice cream in a cup. Lucky for me (and everyone who orders their divine ice cream in a cup), the ice cream is served in a tea cup with a wedge of their homemade waffle cone!!   During conversation, I mentioned that I loved the Zanzibar Chocolate but hadn't seen it since I was at The Chocolate Shoppe up in Wisconsin....to my happy surprise, Uncommon Cups & Cones gets their ice cream delivered from Wisconsin!  I'm telling you; you can't get ice cream this creamy or flavorful anywhere down in 'Kentuckiana.'  Uncommon Cones & Cups needs to be on your dessert list of go-to's for ice cream!!

Terrific ice cream and cozy little atmosphere. Great unique selection of flavors too. Reminiscent of Comfy Cow when that was in New Albany.

If you're looking for an ice cream parlor that features charm, delicious ice cream and great pricing look no further. This gem is set a few blocks off New Albany's downtown thoroughfare but well worth the stop. We've been no less than a half dozen times since they've been open and have yet to be disappointed. The sizes are generous but reasonable (I truly hate having to get giant sundaes I can't hope to finish) and all your ice cream is served in darling vintage tea cups (plastic for the kiddos). They'll gladly let you sample anything in the cases and they offer both classic flavors and a wide assortment of trendy/wild flavors. The banana pudding ice cream is just delicious and tastes like REAL banana, not fake flavoring. The tired parent is always a win with us as well! For 2 people don't expect to spend more than $10 at most, we normally pay around $6-7!

Great stop across the Ohio River from Louisville! Stopped here while visiting Louisville so I could count Indiana as a state I have visited. It's my rule that you have to eat something or spend the night for it to count! Perfect spot to do that and worth the drive :)

Coconut almond bliss what a great choice of ice cream and the place is to cute and cozy

They don't serve ice cream by the scoop, just small single serve containers. We opted for the orange dreamcicle - it was $5 or $6 and was a good size container of ice cream. My ice cream loving daughter didn't eat much before declaring she was done. A few people sitting around us had similar experiences with the flavors they had selected.

Me or my family had not yet experienced this food truck until this Past Saturday night when we were attending a Beatles festival called Penny Lane at the Park in Jeffersonvile, Indiana Big 4 station park. The ice cream was pretty good and came with a cool color changing spoon that went from white to blue when it got cold. I personally got the mint bliss which is a mont chocolate chip. Very tasty. My second oldest daughter got a Cookie Monster and she liked it for the most part. The cookies where large and fluffy and I think that turned her off some. But my youngest daughter who is one and me helped her finish it. It was pretty solid. I prefer the mint bliss personally. My wife got the peanut butter chocolate and was a big fan. Overall a nice snack and treat that we enjoyed while listening to live music in the park. Good times and tasty ice cream!

Good taste and filled that ever lasting sweet tooth. Overall this is a cool shop with good options in an optimal location. A bit pricey. We all got the smaller sizes and a few toppings and it was around $8 a piece. So if your gonna get a topping or a cup remember you control the quantity so make sure you don't skimp on yourself.
