Great experience! Really friendly staff. Received the order quickly and it did not disappoint. I had the blueberry cheesecake vortex and the cheesecake was really flavorful, I could have used more blueberries but all in all delicious. Oh and the ice cream was creamy and great flavor. We also got a pineapple shake and she won't stop talking about how good it is. Its her absolute favorite, maybe I will try that next tiem. read more

Stopped for lunch today. A gentleman sitting out front recommended the pork bbq sandwich. He was right it was delicious. We loved the summer ice cream stand vibes with the walk up window neon signs and concrete tables out front. Service was friendly and speedy. For dessert we had the Cherry Cordial sundae, the strawberry banana smoothie. Our dog had a pup cup that he woofed down and thoroughly enjoyed. All were delicious. read more

It's tough to find an ice cream shop that serves low fat/sugar free frozen yogurt. So we danced for joy when we discovered Zesto. And cried when we learned they're closing their door tomorrow (11/16) through Valentine's Day. I guess folks don't eat ice cream in the winter. Service was patient and friendly. My wife ordered a small hot fudge sundae with peach yogurt. Small? Hardly. It was far larger than we expected. And very tasty. I went with a large chocolate mint chip yogurt cone. Large? Giant would have been more appropriate. They handed me the leaning tower of Pisa. My only regret was I had to eat it quickly so the yogurt wouldn't drip all over me. Nothing I couldn't handle . Once Cupid heads home, we'll be back. read more

If you're looking for a new addictive spot to get a rich and velvety malt, creamy dreamy ice-cream, or delicious tasty treats. Then, this is the place to go! We've gone to Zesto's all across the US. And, they never disappoint. Our go to item is a Hot-fudge malt. We have ordered this countless times over the years and my family fights over every last sip! This time we ordered their flavor of the month vortex (Coconut Cream pie) it was unbelievably good! Definitely glad that I tried something new. Sometimes there's a long wait. But, let me tell you, it's worth waiting for! They have a huge menu. So, make sure to ask for a suggestion if you aren't sure what to get. This location was super cute and nostalgic. I loved the Zesto sign and the walk up window. Everyone was very friendly, fast, and efficient. There was plenty of seating outside. But, we were in a hurry so, we sipped on our Malt in the car. They also, have a drive through if you're looking to get out of there fast. Hot-fudge Malt-This malt is rich and decadent. It is thick, creamy, and velvety. It has notes of vanilla, malt, and nutty cocoa power. This malt will have you dreaming about it every second until you get your next malt. Make sure to get a Large if you're sharing. That way you can fight over every last sip. Coconut Cream Pie Vortex- This concrete was decadent and rich! It tasted like paradise in a cup. With flakes of coconut, thick ice cream, and crispy bites of vanilla wafers. All in all a dreamy cup of joy. read more

Zesto - Ambiance - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - New Albany, Indiana

Delicious! When I was little, they used to have these color changing spoons that were so fun to eat with! I do wish they served cherry sherbet more often though- it's my favorite flavor and it's always gone way too soon. Can't go wrong with a twist though! read more

Zestos (and other Chillers locations) continue to deliver! They are our favorite local place for cold, refreshing treats--ice cream or drinks. The yogurt has real fruit in it. Mom's favorite is the chocolate peanut butter, which has little bits of peanut butter in it. They also have pretzel, which is slightly less sweet, but still delicious. Dad loves the freezes (his two favorites are root beer with vanilla ice cream, or sherbet with 7up). Siblings love the cyclones, sherbet, soft serve or hard ice cream. It's all good! If you just want a refreshing drink to keep you cool, they've got you covered too! read more

Nice place! Had lots of options but it's overpriced on the ice cream. The ice cream is good, but it's bad when you can't tell the difference between a kids cone and a small cone. read more

My favorite place for a summer treat. I lived in the area for about 13 years and I became completely addicted to Zesto during that time. Now that I've moved away, I have to get my fix any time I am anywhere close to New Albany. I highly recommend the peanut butter frozen yogurt...it's always been my favorite. But, the chocolate malt and hot fudge brownie sundae are also really great. The staff is always quite friendly and happy. The lines are usually long, but it's worth the wait. The prices are great, the food is great, the staff is great, what's not to love? I guess my only complaint is that it's not available in my new home of Lexington yet...but I'll be first in line if they expand there! read more

Love their ice cream and other items they offer. Never had bad service or an item I didn't like after trying.

Bear with me as I discuss my Dorm Days™ for a moment. As a freshman at IU Southeast, I wasn't just new to college life - I was also completely unfamiliar with New Albany. So, I kept my ear to the ground and it didn't take long for me to learn a few things. One: the McDonald's and Big Boy by campus were "last resort" level. Two: Sav-a-Step coffee is a lot better than it has any logical reason to be. Third, and most importantly, New Albanians are zany for Zesto. My dormmates revered the place, and as soon as I saw the pink glow of the big, iconic neon sign, I knew it was gonna be up my alley. Years later, it still is! The walk-up ice cream shop is a uniquely American treasure, and in my experience, Zesto is one of the best(o). I've always loved the "Chicago dogs" here; even though they're only Chicago-style in the absolute loosest sense of the term, the toppings just taste so darn good. The "Vortex," their take on the Blizzard, is also great. I think they only offer the Cotton Candy Vortex on a seasonal basis, but if you ever see it on the menu, order it without hesitation. It. Is. Fantastic. Can't help but feel an endorphin rush whenever this opens for its operating season. Long live Zesto, and may they continue feeding broke dorm kids for years to come. read more

I watched the cashier hand my frozen yogurt out to the car ahead of me. They realized it was not theirs and handed it back, which they then tried to give to me as if they didn't hand it out and take it back in the store. Very disappointed! read more

A COMPLETE WASTE OF TRAVEL TIME, MONEY, AND ABOUT 2 HOURS OF CRAVING ZESTO AND FINALLY BEING ABLE TO GET SOMEONE TO SIT W/ MY MOTHER. HUGELY DISAPPOINTED. Thankfully the drive-thru line was too long - at least 5-6 cars deep. Hold on - I'll explain, keep reading. I walked up to order a large Sprite Float. The order arrived at the Pick-Up window very quickly - cool! But then the disaster happened. My float started flowing out uncontrollably and all of a sudden (upside: it made a pretty decent photo - LOL!!). I'm looking at it and in shock that my drink is spilling out everywhere. I quickly grabbed napkins to start wiping up the mess. I tap on the window to get an employee's attention hoping she'd provide some assistance since SHE took and made my order. She gave me a look like - what?? Then it finally dawned on her to grab a cloth and start helping to wipe up my sprite float from off the counter. I asked how this happened and she basically blamed me for ordering the large. In her effort to think on her feet, the best answer she could find was that I should have ordered a medium that comes with a dome lid to help eliminate the spill-over. I'm stunned - asking "Are you serious"- "am I'm to automatically know that!" So my next question is...then why does Zesto sell the large to customers if it causes such a mess and you don't have the appropriate dome lid for a large? She looked at me puzzled. So then I commented that it was a good thing I didn't order from the drive-thru or the mess would have gotten all over me, my clothes, and my car. Her customer service skills, or lack thereof, led her to respond with - "yeah". To put the bad cherry on top of this experience, a gentleman dressed in all black (I'm sure the shift manager) approached her and spoke in a low voice - I'm sure to find out what's going on. She shrugged it off, he was OK with whatever response she gave and moved on to another counter. Poor customer service skills again but starting from the top. The manager noticed there was an issue and he should have addressed me, as the customer, anyhow - regardless what the employee told him. I get home, open my lid, and realize just how much of my drink spilled out because "I neglected to order a size medium that comes with a dome lid". Wait...it doesn't end there....there is no ice cream! Maybe I got one scoop and it dissolved in the nearly half cup of sprite. Again, wasted money, time, and the 2 hours I was looking forward to enjoying Zesto. Not again. Hopefully their management team will read this review and use it as a training opportunity, from the top down. I hate giving 1 and 2 star reviews, but I couldn't let this ride. read more

Loved this place since I was a little kid. Of course it's not as good as it was back in the day but is still awesome. Love the chili dogs and a shake. That's what I always get. It seems so clean and well taken care of. Classic spot to grab a lunch or snack! read more

Absolutely love this place. Probably because I'm old and nostalgic. The noise from Charlestown road can be a bit much during rush hour, but otherwise, I like to take my great nieces and nephews there for ice cream when they stay with me. They have the best ice cream in New Albany. They have a huge selection of sherbert, slushies and treats. The place stays packed because they are also efficient and they pay the young people $16.00 per hour. They are open almost year round because the public craves it year round. They usually close October 31 ( sometimes later) and they open right back up March 1st. A great place for a yummy treat. read more

I love Zesto! There's nothing better than coming here on a warm afternoon, basking in the retro neon signs & enjoying a chili dog and ice cream soda! It's a perfect date spot too- it's simple & sweet (literally and figuratively!) Their prices are good, and they have a really large menu. There's tons of frozen yogurt flavors, and many more hand-dipped options, as well as milkshakes, sundaes, and seasonal items such as pumpkin roll sundaes and huge homemade apple dumplings! There's plenty of seating and parking, or you can drive-through. The service is fast & friendly too. This place is too cute to miss! read more

Love their soft serve ice cream. Chili hotdogs are good, smoothies are great, slushees are also good. I also like their Nachos.

Back home in Cincinnati we refer to seasonal walk up soft serve ice cream shops like Zestos as "Creamy Whips". Well, last summer I was seriously homesick and complaining to a friend that I was missing Cincinnati's many creamy whips when he loaded me in the car and took me to Zesto's for the first time. It was love at first bite. I've been back many times, including tonight, and have yet to be disappointed. From their pumpkin soft serve to their peanut butter frozen yogurt to their shakes to their floats Zestos gets it right every time. Not to mention they preserve that ever so important walk up on a hot day and get served ice cream, creamy whip tradition! read more

I'm a soft serve fiend, and Dairy Kastle in Louisville is the standard by which all other soft serve is judged. Zesto is good but doesn't reach that DK level of creaminess. Sprinkles! Sprinkles on Soft Serve Ice Cream! This place makes me feel like I'm 8. I swear I almost squeal every time the car somehow finds itself sitting in the drive-thru, the googly eyes looking at me from the wall as I start to drool, just a bit at the corners of my mouth, at the thought of the soft serve goodness and all the summer (and sometimes winter) memories it brings back. I know they have all sorts of things - but the primary draw for me to Zesto's is ... Soft Serve Ice Cream. And it is Good. Reminds me of that it used to taste like. It doesn't melt 'too fast' nor does it somehow resist any heat or time in some strange, unnatural state. The topics are many and delightful. Bright Colors, Dark Colors. Sweet and (slightly) more healthy options - there is a little bit of everything to be fond at this delightful creamery. But I swear... sprinkles. The Bomb. read more
