The inside of my husbands...no lobster insight, and minced crabmeat
    Janet H.

Today 2/4/2025, I drove allll the way to Baltimore, a 1 hour and 20 minute hump, to see what the hype was about. It was just that, "INSTAGRAM HYPE", SO DON'T BE FOOLED BY IT. I ordered the Shrimp, Lobster, and Crab Egg Roll, or should I say the 2 Shrimp, minced crab meat, and no lobster egg roll. I'm not about bashing companies, but if you don't provided what is being advertised, I will leave an accurate review. Go inline and waited 3 minutes to order, and it took 5 minutes before I received the order. After we received the order, we pulled in the gas station to the right of use so we could eat it right away. My husband was steaming, he said turn this blankety-blank truck around so I can get my money back. 1. Be prepared, it is in the hood, some people may have an issue with it, but we didn't, and don't blink or you will miss it, we drove pass it... it's on the corner and a walk-up window. Depending on the time of day will determine if it is a long line, 2. The outer shell is very thick and hard, not crunchy. We pulled over to heat it while it was hot, not giving it time to sit and get hard 3. At both ends of the egg roll you have a large shrimp, the middle is filled with minced crabmeat. Someone else was complaining they received the red tip of a lobster claw. SMH, I should have listened. 3. Not for lobster lovers, there isn't any in it. 4. Service was normal, no issues, and I believe it's owned by Asian decent. Summation, if you just want an oversized crab egg roll with 2 shrimp, one at each end of the roll, this is for you! For me, certainly not worth the ride, money or taste buds. So I suggest you read all reviews, there's a reason why the reviews are only 3 stars. TOTAL FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!

The Seafood Eggrolls left me speechless. They were delicious and so big. More than worth the cost.

I absolutely loved it, from the prompt service to the ambience to the local, delicious food, we had such a lovely dinner. I came for oysters and I got them. First we had a dozen raw oysters from the True Chesapeake farm, which were so fresh and flavorful. My favorite hands down was the Chunky Dunker oyster, gigantic and meaty. Then we had broiled oysters, you know, for some variety! They were fantastic. Dinner was fabulous, I had the scallops and my husband had the fish. We ate every single bite, and all but licked the plates clean. To finish, we had dessert cocktails - the Grasshopper tastes like an Andes mint - and we happily headed home with full bellies. I can't wait to come back and try more of the local seafood on offer!

The apps were incredible. I absolutely loved the beet salad, steak tartare and the handmade spaghetti with clams. You can't go wrong with the brisket meal or their sides - whether it's the grilled chicken or the CAULIFLOWER. GET IT! The oysters were hyper local. Good but not the greatest as I prefer more northern. They have a great selection of oysters locally available so everyone could find one they'd like. I preferred one of them but they didn't identify which was which.

However, if you cannot tolerate the smell of smoke or have an upper respiratory condition such as asthma or bronchitis, I strongly advise against going. I did enjoy the concept of the space. Each group has its own private pod equipped with a television, overhead speakers, mood lighting, and comfortable seating, allowing you to have your own relaxed kickback-style gathering. The food available for purchase was good, though when I visited the menu was limited, and they had run out of dessert. That was disappointing; however, the owner was kind enough to comp us for the missing dessert, which I appreciated. Be aware that the atmosphere can get a bit rowdy, depending on the guests in nearby pods. There is also a BYOB option, which my group and I fully took advantage of. Unfortunately, I left smelling heavily of smoke in my hair, clothes, and even my purse absorbed the odor. I would recommend improved ventilation or the use of air purifiers or humidifiers in the rooms. I will not be returning.

I was prepared to overlook the deficiencies, until they declined to mention the private room upcharge, I saw it on the tab and asked. It's tucked around a corner. We went in the evening and it was dark. There was NO One to greet diners at the entrance, we had to look for people for help and resorted to asking other diners. The host/hostess area is dark and not clearly identifiable. The staff and owner are very nice. The owner directed the server to take us to a private room, since we were first time patrons, but failed to mention the upcharge, which was significant. It was a holiday, so the menu was pre-set with a flat charge. We had to ask, no one volunteered the pricing, it wasn't indicated on the special menu. The service was extremely slow, even for a holiday. We waited excessively for everything. It took more than a half hour for our dinner order to be taken, after we consumed our appetizer/salad. No check-in, no refill ask , but it was a holiday, so... But they were all very nice and courteous. The private room concept was awesome. I was planning to return with a larger party. There is a TV and music in the rooms, temperature controlled. Really nice concept. I would have let everything go and still returned to the facility, but for the failure to inform of the $100 upcharge, which the hostess did discount down to $50, because she "knew they didn't mention it" beforehand. It had happened before. Im really salty about that. That is a failure on the owner. My other safety concern is that the entrance should be better monitored/staff attended when patrons are in private rooms with limited to of line of sight to the entrance or open area.

I tried the volcano and teriyaki oysters, and they were so good. The truffle fries also held their own, and I am very particular about my fries, so that says a lot. I also ordered the happy hour tacos (oyster and catfish). They were okay, nothing to run home about. Since the restaurant clearly has some elevated sauces, I would love to see those same sauces incorporated into the tacos to make them stand out more. Otherwise, they feel pretty standard. Also, try the deviled eggs topped with a fried oyster. Very tasty and worth ordering. I would absolutely come back to try dinner, but the happy hour menu definitely gives you great value for your money and excellent service.

We were immediately seated upon arrival and given a choice of seats/location. I started with the Pearanoia cocktail which was refreshing. Then I tried the Luck Be a Lady cocktail. This was a pretty drink and a bit sweet. For appetizers: -Devil's Eggs were perfect! -Taco Flight (2 shrimp and 1 catfish) was very filling. Could have had this as an entree. -Chargrilled Oysters were unfortunately my least favorite of everything ordered. Nothing stood out. For entrees: -Grilled Branzino was a solid choice. There was an up-charge to replace the cauliflower with broccolini. -Seafood flatbread I had the bread pudding for dessert. I enjoyed the starters more than the main courses. The drinks were luscious and the food was good. The service was attentive and friendly. It's located in a quaint neighborhood of Baltimore reminiscent of Adams Morgan in DC. I will certainly be back to hangout because the ambiance is a vibe! Having metered parking directly across the street provided convenience. For rideshare riders, they have a vestibule so that you are covered while waiting.

We were right in front of the oyster shucking area which was entertaining to watch. We ordered a dozen oysters, six of two different kinds. The oysters are priced by the half dozen here just FYI. I feel like Dylan's has some of the freshest oysters in Baltimore. I love that they're not all huge ginormous dinner plates but some are small and petite with a light brine. We also ordered the french onion dip, potato skins, caesar salad, and brussel sprouts. The french onion dip had great flavor and went well with the potato chips (I subbed extra chips in place of the crackers to make it gluten free). I only wish the dip was served warm. The brussels were absolutely delicious with great flavor and texture, and not swimming in the sauce like some other places. The stern fern martini is one of my faves but I can't drink more than one and once the other salty dishes started coming out, I needed something different so I opted for the yuzu cider. That was really refreshing and delicious! The basque cheesecake for dessert was good but not the best I've had. Service at the bar seemed a bit rushed but it may have been because the place was packed. It was a Tuesday night but at 6:30pm, every seat was full. By 8pm the place really cleared out so we'll time our visit a little later next time. The owner, Dylan, was working the floor alongside his staff and was nice enough to offer us some of his home-made hot sauce. It was really good! My only wish would be for the menu to be better marked for gluten free options.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.
