Food was ok, but greasy. Lots of choices. It was kind of pricy for people like me that don't like fish.

I'm into it. The buffet has a lot of selections, and honestly, I could get a full 4-course meal if I wanted to. Be creative. (Ex. Idk if this is allowed, but if you get a soda, you can add ice cream to it to make an ice-cream float #hacks). Before I came, I looked over reviews, and they made it seem like sanitation is an issue. That wasn't reflected in my personal experience. Sanitation was fine; it wasn't a concern for me *shrug*. BUT HEY, I think the prepped salad was meant for me. Literally, it was everything I would've added in a salad. They have sushi and donuts too! The price is good for what I got. FYI, lunch is cheaper y'all! UPDATE: ($8.49 for lunch!!!) definitely recommend if you want to go out to eat but not spend the big bucks. Came back for that dope salad! LOL 2nd UPDATE: Soooo I asked the manager about soda floats, and he's chill with it! XD read more

Food is okay. However my biggest issue was seeing how the owner or manager or whoever he is took the tips away from the server who was helping my table the whole night. we decided to give her the tips directly since she was so attentive the entire time we were there. I asked him for tip back since he took it away from her and he did not give it back. He had no right taking it from her when SHE was the one removing plates cups etc from our table ALL night. read more

Beautiful service! I came with my family for a birthday and they offered to play the birthday song, which was really thoughtful. The food was incredible with different flavors left and right. Me and my family enjoyed eating here plenty, I recommend in general !! read more

King Buffet - Amazing food bars! - Buffets Near Me - Visalia, California

Just ate there for my sister in laws birthday and there was a cockroach on my grandmother in law's plate. Still alive and moving, and had come from the jello that was fresh out of the kitchen! The manager justified the bug on the plate by the fact that it was still alive. My mother in law didn't even get a full refund for the 10 people she paid for. The bathroom also reeks of mildew. I work in food industry and know both of these things are not acceptable for food business. read more

I went there about 3weeks ago, I don't care what anybody says, the food was incredible. I was there with three of my 6 sisters for lunch I was amazed at how much food there was to choose from, loved the sushi along with the fruit salad very very tasty I will definitely go back maybe for dinner! Thank you staff for the hospitality. read more

Would give it a zero if I can, we came in with a 3 month old baby and they included him as a person in our table so we could count as a 12 person party so they can force the gratuity in our bill. Would never return and to top it off the floo look filthy! Food wasn't even good and fresh either. read more

Don't even waste your time with this place. The food was terrible. Dry with no flavor some items were soggy. Hairs in the food. read more

4 adults 80.18 plates clean, had to wait for noddles, orange chicken cold, the ice cream used to be my favorite today 02.11.2024 no flavor . Staff who pick up your plants very nice. Ambiance at 12:00 clean, customers are so loud yelling at their children. read more

Food was awful and expensive. The staff was friendly and cleared dirty plates just fine.

Finally a buffet in Visalia I can compare to the ones back home. The pricing is a bit off even with taxes it didn't add up to what was displayed but nowadays everything is expensive. There is a large selection of foods and they were all good! I like to judge Chinese places by their chow mein and there's was 4/5! I might have gotten lucky but they were bringing out fresh food every 5-10 minutes. The orange chicken was sweet with a hint of spice. The only thing that lacked was the desserts. There are different options but not very appealing. The ice cream was also lack luster. It tasted a bit watered down. It's self serve so the service you get is really up to you but the bussers were really attentive and were constantly cleaning up tables and the floors. When we walked in the place was pretty full but it kept getting fuller and fuller as the night went on. Surprisingly it wasn't overly loud or anything. Seeing the koi fish after was nice. (I don't think this is a mark of their service but when we pulled in one of the chiefs was urinating by the dumpster. no shame just out in the open we thought it was funny but maybe someone should check if they washed their hands) read more

Called to make a reservation initially for a party of 19, one week before my dad's birthday and they were able to accommodate. A few days before, I learned there would be six more attending so I called back and they said it was fine. The party was 8/4/2021 (Wednesday) at 4:30pm. I arrived 45 minutes before and they had our party reserved in their banquet room. We were able to decorate as it was a surprise birthday party for my dad. The process of paying for all attendees was super easy. The manager and staff were excellent. The food was actually super fresh. I am not much of a buffet person; however, the entire restaurant was super clean. They issued gloves to wear while you pick out your food. I was super impressed. We had the banquet room for 2 1/2 hours and we did not feel rushed at all. Staff constantly checked in with us to ensure we had everything needed. They even had a candle for my dad's cake (as I forgot to bring candles). Thank you King Buffet for an excellent experience. read more

I went to King Buffet in Visalia, CA expecting to eat good quality Chinese Food but that was far from the truth. The silverware and plates seemed very unsanitary and the restrooms were very unkept too. While eating the food I noticed several problems with it. For example, I took a bite out of the pot stickers and siu mai dumplings and it was completely pink inside. As well as the food being completely bad quality. I will definitely not go to this restaurant willingly unless they start to make some changes to their restaurant. read more

Look what I found in my broccoli beef...a live maggot!! When I showed our server, the manager came over and offered me half off of MY plate only, the equivalent of about $4. Really?? He tried to explain that the broccoli is "really fresh" , (yeah, the maghot was still alive!) and they will wash it more carefully next time. Yuuuuck!!! This was our first and LAST time at King Buffet on Mooney in Visalia. It wasn't only the maggot, but how they handled it, tried to excuse it, and insulted me by accusing me of not wanting to pay. read more

We went here on Sunday and was only expecting to pay 8.95 per person however it was $11.95 I was told because of it being a Sunday. Being that the Sunday price is not posted this is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars because the food for a buffet is not bad. I love fish they had descent sushi the shrimp were just mush though. If it had only been $8.95 a person I would have given 5 stars because you really complain at $8.95 for all you can eat when a value meal at any fast food is that or more these days. They need to fix their website to match proper pricing and post it or tell you about it when they seat you. read more

Ive gone to other kind buffet restaurants and decided to give this one a try for some food variety. Upon walking in, it doesn't look too bad until you start to really look at the floor and other areas of the restaurant. It is Incredibly dirty. The food is mediocre, may even make you sick. read more

I was there with my brother and father. We went to get our food when we saw a lady coming out of the kitchen picking her nose. She then went to stir the food with that same finger that was up her nose. We lost our appetites. read more

I had been told this was a great place to eat in Visalia. So I decided to give it a try. I was really disappointed. The selection was mainly seafood, which is ok if you are a lover of seafood. I would have liked some chicken and beef options. The broccoli beef had lots of broccoli and 3 pieces of beef. Not sure if someone ahead of me picked out all the beef or if that is how they fix their broccoli beef. The fried chicken had a lot of gristle in it and the chow neon was made with spaghetti. Overall taste and quality is very mediocre. Price is a little steep for what you get. Dinner was 11.99 and the soda was .99 On the plus side, staff is very friendly and make sure your glass is always full and dirty dishes removed in a timely manner. It's not very likely that I will visit here again. read more

I have a tough time faulting this place. People need to align their expectations with the great value for money. I was very happy with what was on offer for $12.95 a head. The dishes I enjoyed included: - crab rangoon - Orange Chicken - Crab Legs - Coconut Shrimp - Some of the sushi role options - Biscuit Donuts (big winner!) My son loved the soft serve ice cream I'll avoid the cheesy muscles next time. The service team were very attentive and worked with a smile. Will be visiting again! read more

Good variety of food. Lots to choose from. Plenty of space to sit. Just don't go on a Sunday unless you don't mind waiting for a table.

Not too many sushi/food options, overpacked, sushi was warm not fresh, baked mussels were watery, ice cream tasted icey, one fork had a big stain on it,decent interior , service not bad , Don't come here if you want high quality food read more

They were very kind when my family walked in, even when they were going to close in 20 minutes. Their prices are shown when you walk in. As for the food, it was okay. Some of the foods were really cold once I got back to my table. As for the taste, some of the food had a bitter taste, as if they had been left out there for a long time. The bite size shrimp tasted extremely stale and the beef broccoli was really bitter. They took back the rice when there were customers still in the restaurant. Others, including mine, had to ask for the rice. Overall, the customer service was decent, but the food was not worth it. But hey, you get what you pay for. read more

05-20-18 Just thought I'd give my 2 cents for this place... I've been coming here for many years since I was a young pubescent child. Since then, never have I NOT enjoyed this place. I mean I'm a simple guy, and it's Chinese. What's there not to like? One thing to note, this place is one of the better buffets (perhaps maybe the only buffet) in town that is both decent and affordable. I'm guessing that's why this place get so busy on the weekends. Sheesh, can you say elbow room? Overall, I've noticed that they've changed the look of this place in terms of the food/buffet area. They don't have the plants or whatever it was on top of the stations that made it look crowded before. Or however that goes.. but this place definitely has improved all around. Especially their sushi. I give this place a D for delicious, 4 stars all around. read more

I will start off with the staff, they are not approachable and are rude the time that I was there I did not feel welcomed. When I asked a question it seemed as if I was bothering her. The food was not good, Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken were dried and tried many other food items and ended up throwing it away. I am not sure if the time that I went may have been a bad time, because most of the trays did not have much food so the heat must of dried it up. This place is not worth going. read more

Not very good & extremely high prices! This is some of the worst food I've ever eaten! I will probably never eat here again!

OMG I love this place! My favorite go to foods are the pizza, the shrimp, the chicken wings, french fries, and the potatoes. I've been going here since I was young, and the staff there are always kind and helpful. I also love the variety in their sushi which is a great deal at a low price. I personally like mixing some of the shrimp & cucumber dish with rice which allows the sauce to seep into the rice and make it taste even more delicious! OHHH and drizzling the red sweet sauce they have on the cheese fried wonton tastes amazinggggg! read more

They close at 9:30 and we got there at 8:40, they did not tell us, they were no longer taking customers, so we got seated. we were eating our first plate when it hit 9 and they started cleaning up right next to us and started rushing us. we felt uncomfortable and if they were no longer taking customer, they should of told us and we would of left. read more

This place was an alright place to eat. A lot of the food was cold by the time I brought it to the table (which didn't take me very long to get there lol) so that was kinda disappointing. I don't want to eat cold chicken The desserts were also pretty damn depressing. They didn't have labels for them. So I feel like there could be an allergy concern there. It was pretty cheap so maybe that's why it was just ok. I've eaten at cheap buffets before and the food quality was better tbh. Also out waiter didn't grab us lemons with our waters. It was an alright Experience. read more

I've been coming here prior to COVID. When I saw that they reopened I was excited and told all my coworkers as they too were patrons prior to COVID. I came, paid and got my plate. On my way out I had a few items that would get ruined by the lid if I closed it on them (sushi). So I opened the plate and placed them on the side that is the lid. As I was getting my drink to exit the cashier yelled at me from the register that I couldn't do that and was very rude. There was other customers there and even they commented to me that she was rude. I will not be coming here again. I will make sure to tell people about my negative experience. I cannot believe that people are trying to support local business during these tough times and the staff are going be rude and belittle their patrons. Terrible experience. I will take my support elsewhere. read more

It had been quite sometime since I've been here, so on Friday night, my wife and I came here for dinner and was pleased with the selection. The sushi bar has changed, along with the hot foods. My favorites that evening were the eel rolls, crab roll and the honey chicken. Yum! It's cheaper to go for lunch but it was still delicious. Will be coming back! read more

Do not waste your money on this place! Gross food. It's eatable, but not worth the price. I felt so dirty while I was here. Nothing was fresh, except the chow mein made with spaghetti noodles. The fried rice was yellow, like weird yellow. Everything else had been sitting out for awhile. They definitely like their rap music. We felt like we were at a club. When we went to pay, they asked how the food was and my husband told them not good and then they went all bilingual on us. read more

King Buffet is your typical American Chinese buffet. Its cheap and you can load up on all your salt/grease/MSG for the coming week, ok maybe month. Staff are friendly. However, if you're like us and only desire to eat a reasonable amount of food, you either have to flag someone down or wait foreeeeehver to get the check. I just assume its bc so many people make 37 trips to the food they can't believe you're done after 1, so I don't really count it against them. Its the biggest buffet I've found in the area so we'll keep going when we need a Chinese buffet infusion. read more

Not a big fan. Not very many portien options. Chow mein had very little flavor. Rice was great though. Was busy but service was still good and they did replenish the food in a timely matter. Food just didn't meet even minimal expectations that I have in a buffet setting. read more

My husband and I both love coming here. He loves that they have sushi and fills up on that. All the while I enjoy a variety of the yummy hot food. My favorites are the honey chicken, pineapple shrimp, cream cheese rangoon's, garlic string beans, and for lunches they have delicious creamed spinach. For dessert they make better flan than some local mexican restaurants believe it or not...never thought I would have that in a chinese buffet! I also love their fried biscuit donuts and coconut macaroons! read more

Obviously it's a buffet so it was decently priced, the food was pretty good, teriyaki salmon was terrible. I recommend the coconut shrimp! The restaurant was clean for The most part, But the staff was rude and it seemed like an inconvenience to ask for a refill on our drinks. When the waiter came to take the plates away she went to set my fork on the table instead of letting me grab it and set it on a napkin. Sanitation, come on. Then I was half way through my dessert and she attempted to take that plate, when I said 'I'm still working on it' she rolled her eyes and stormed off. Geez I should have just let her take it.. read more

Nothing was very fresh here. The sushi at the sushi bar tasted like it was made days ago and then frozen and then defrosted just hours before we ate. There's enough food to be called a buffet, but not in a great quality to be considered a "King" buffet. The price for the quality of their service and food is not worth it. read more
