We're in the south and there's good BBQ everywhere. So I really appreciate King taking a different approach and constantly crushing it! Seriously, their Instagram page is legit food porn. But that's what you get when you take people from different cultures and different culinary backgrounds, and bring them together. I feel like the term "fusion" may be an understatement for them, as there is no single word to describe what they do. The best I can describe is they're a bunch of mad scientists creating culinary delights. Lol. But in all seriousness, the meat quality is great and the price doesn't break the bank. So if you're looking for a not your run of the mill BBQ joint, look no further!

Updated review after my 03/22/26 visit with my mom. The stars dropped because this is the first time I've received food that wasn't up to King BBQ standards. Mom loves ribs so we ordered their fried ribs. If you look at the picture, they look amazing. Unfortunately the meat was so tough we couldn't eat them. The szechuan sauce on them was finger licking good, but the ribs were inedible. We also ordered the creamy slaw. It was not seasoned and easily the most basic thing I've ever had here. And this place is not where you expect to find basic food. The service and atmosphere are still great, it was just not the day for me to bring my mom. I'm looking forward to returning and updating this review back to 5 stars.

This was my first visit to King BBQ and I have to say it was fantastic. The atmosphere was comforting from the first step in the door and we were greeted making us feel welcome. It's sometimes hard to find good non alcoholic beverages but at King they had several options making me very happy! To top it all off the food was delicious!!! If you are looking for diversity in your BBQ options then look no further King BBQ is the place. P.S. Once it's a little nicer outside we will visit them again and sit in their outdoor dining space.

Fusion Asian-Southern cuisine done right! This place came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The ambiance is casual with a subtle Asian vibe--nothing over the top, just a relaxed and welcoming space. We started with a Dragula (frozen sangria with cherry Coke), and it was perfectly balanced--not too sweet with just the right kick. For apps, the Deviled Krab Rangoon with crispy hushpuppy balls was a standout--creative and seriously delicious. The Mapo Cheese Fries are a must if you're hungry... easily a meal on their own and packed with bold flavor. I had the noodle soup with spiced chicken and a side of fried corn, and the soup tasted like pure comfort--rich, homemade, and full of flavor. We also tried the Sichuan collards, and even if you're not usually a collards fan, this dish might win you over. Overall, such a great experience. My only wish was for more photos of the dishes beforehand--but that's an easy fix. Definitely worth checking out!

What a great hidden gem! I know its been open for a few years now, but. I finally made it there for lunch. This place will not disappoint. Interior is casual with an Asian flare. Orders are placed at the counter and food delivered to your table. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got deviled krab rangoon dip with hushpuppies to start. Best hushpuppies I've had in a very long time. The dip was full of flavor and shredded crab. I got the jasmine rice with mushrooms for my main course. They smoke grilled the mushrooms that added an extra level of flavor I didn't expect. It was sooooo good! My hubby got the fried smokey chicken sandwich topped with pickled green tomatoes and habanero duck sauce. He absolutely loved it! The chicken was crispy, not greasy and cooked to perfection! There is also a private outdoor seating area and a huge parking lot.

So much to choose from I just ordered 2 apps! Dan Dan Noodles, Shrimp Toast Sliders and Fried Ribs! All delicious!!

This was such a wonderful experience! First time here and I was hooked when the owner was on top Chef! I love Jack rabbit Philly, so why not give this a try? Don't miss it because it can be hard to see, but just look for the big beautiful lions at the front door! My friend from Summerville and I met here because it's sort of halfway. It was both of our first times and we enjoyed it so very much!! My friend got the crab Rangoon fritters and the red rice with Yum Yum sauce. She took fried ribs home for her hubby. I got the shrimp, toast, sliders, side of Dan, Dan, noodles and fried ribs. I had enough food for three different meals! I would have to say my favorite thing of the day was the shrimp toast sliders! I heated one up in the air fryer when I got home and it heated perfectly!! The only thing that could've made it five stars is if we didn't have to grab a menu seat ourselves go up and order our drinks and go up and order our food and then wait! Although everybody was super friendly, it was a lot of getting up and down for both my friend and I who both have had recent surgeries also, maybe a few more options at the bar kind of standards like no OJ and no Kahlua. I thoroughly enjoyed my specialty drinks, but my friend likes very basic drinks. All in all we both agreed we'd absolutely come back and if the weather is nice, we'll sit outside next time. We didn't see the wonderful outdoor area until we were leaving. Great job great food great atmosphere. Kudos to the chef and owner!!

Stopped by King BBQ for trivia and their $10 noodle night! The featured dish was a Pozole Udon, which was unique and tasty. While the fries were excellent, the hushpuppies were a bit dry and fair warning, that dipping sauce packs some serious heat. They have a great rotating selection of seasonal drinks, too that are really good. I definitely recommend checking them out for lunch, a trivia night or even dinner!

We stopped here after landing in Charleston and didn't know what to expect. It was great. We loved everything we ordered. The staff is friendly and helps explain the food and what's popular on the menu. Definitely a highlight of our trip! Try the mapo fries!

King BBQ has become one of North Charleston's flagship restaurants. This is where you'll find the biggest flavors, coolest decor (dare I say ~sexy~ interior design), and most daring cocktail menu. Pricey, yes. But well worth it for date night or business meeting.

Yeah, it is very worth the hype. They've crafted a casual yet hip restaurant that makes you want to come hang at the bar all the time. The flow of the restaurant makes sense, the service is friendly and quick. The decor is super fun. Every time we hit up King BBQ we go hog wild with ordering: this time we got the duck/chicken (which we do every time), the corn pudding, collards, okra, noodle soup, and desserts. Not pictured: sake cocktails. The duck and chicken always totally rock my world. One time we got it to go and the skin was still crispy!!!! Yes, my mouth is watering writing this. Guys, I don't even like collards that much (yes I'm a shame to my southern heritage), but I devoured these. The noodle soup shocked me: crispy fried veggies that weren't soggy sitting on top of a delicious noodle soup? And the broth is super flavorful? I'm in forever.

Delicious!!! The chicken sandwich was fried perfectly and the bread and sauce completed it! The noodle soup had a hearty incredibly flavorful broth with generous amounts of perfectly tender and juicy chicken. We will be back to try the burger. I also see that they have happy hour foods which is refreshing to see in this town!

King BBQ is a must if you're into bold, smoky flavors and crave something different from the usual BBQ spots. I ordered the Chinatown Delight and it was everything I hoped for -- juicy spare ribs, crispy pork belly, five spice chicken, duck breast, steamed baos and pancakes, plus three incredible sides. The spicy dan dan noodles and habanero duck sauce were standouts -- seriously next level. The vibe is casual but cool, with counter service that's quick and friendly. You order at the front, grab a number, and the food comes out fast and hot. Perfect for a chill night out or a weekend lunch with friends. I'll definitely be back to try sandwiches.

Back again! The moo shu is out of this world! Such a generous portion we really need more pancakes please. Ribs on point and the special pea and corn salad was a mouth party!

Pulled pork was nicely seasoned but not my personal preference of meats however it was my first time so I had to get a little taste of everything. Before all of their Lowcountry locations shuttered their doors, we could come here for special family occasions, casual lunches in downtown when I was a student at College of Charleston, or a dinner spot to pop into when running errands in Summerville or Mt. Pleasant. Imagine my joy upon returning for a visit to the Lowcountry for Mother's Day and finding out Sticky Fingers had made a long awaited return to North Charleston. I literally came here for dinner right after my flight landed Friday evening. It pains me to say, however, that THIS new Sticky Fingers is NOT the Sticky Fingers I grew up enjoying. I ordered some of my old-faithful menu items, only to find that none of them tasted the same. The hickory smoked wings were overcooked and dry (BURNT crispy on the edges), the pulled pork was hella dry ( I had to DROWN it in Carolina Gold sauce), and the fries that used to be delicious and crispy with the best fry seasoning had none of that going on. The only item that even tasted remotely close to what it used to be was my favorite appetizer - the loaded sticky potato skins. These were the best thing we had during dinner. Service was sub-par despite the fact that there were barely any other diners in the restaurant. We had to ask our server for items we ordered multiple times. For example, the corn bread that was supposed to come out with our entrees did not. We had to flag our server down on two separate times before they were brought out. In addition, there wasn't really any music playing in the restaurant so it was incredibly quiet and I felt like we were eating in a library. You would hear a song play every now and then very sporadically. Not sure if they were having issues with their speakers or what but with the lack of other diners it made for a bit of an awkward dining experience. At the close of our meal we sat there for 25+ minutes (after they had already closed at 9 mind you) before our server brought our checks to us - saying that another worker said they had taken care of our bill so she didn't realize we needed to pay. I missed the sweet corn muffins. I missed the loud blues music blaring from the speakers. I missed the exceptional high-quality food and friendly, professional service. Sticky Fingers may be back, but it ain't my Sticky Fingers.
