Sessions with Jody don't even compare; she works with you for the entire session versus other clinics where you're basically given some exercises and then you perform them on your own with an occasional check-in from an assistant. You literally get what you pay for with Jody and the difference is incredible. I'll never visit a PT chain again now that I've been to Dexter Physical Therapy. Give her a try to see the drastic difference in service levels!

What I am disappointed with is a change in business practice and most major insurance companies (I have Aetna) and Medicare are no longer billed. Patients are expected to pay up front (my recent bill was $250) and submit to insurance for reimbursement. My care plan had graduated to every other week. I can't afford that and they are not willing to work out payment arrangements. (So much for loyalty). Insurance can take months to reimburse an individual. I can appreciate the impact to a business when insurance is slow to pay them but there has to be a middle ground for the patient. I was politely invited to seek care elsewhere if I couldn't pay. Wow! Just be aware the bills are steep and up front payment expected. The therapists are great but billing practice not so good. Also if you expect to speak with a live person it's rare. You usually play phone tag or send a text and hope to hear back. I really wanted to continue here but I'm afraid I probably can't afford it....

Tried to set up PT for hip pain. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in. Before I went I called to question…read morethe costs. Was told it was a small co-pay. I questioned that it was more than that and they asserted that it was not. I went to my first appointment, which was just evaluation with no actual recommendations made. 2 weeks later I get a bill for the full amount as it was not covered by insurance (after I asked twice for an estimation of costs). So, now instead of a $33 payment I'm stuck with $200 cost for absolutely no recommendation of ways to alleviate pain. Do not trust what the front desk tells you regarding cost! If I had known that this would only apply towards deductible and I decided to still move forward. I would have at least set up my first appointment in January and not do one appointment in December and basically flush that $$ away. Very frustrating!

I thought I did all the research I needed before coming in here but it does not even matter because the front desk people will straight up lie to you about how much the appointment will cost you out of pocket. I was told I only needed to pay $60 out of pocket up until I meet my deductible which would be roughly about 10 more visits and then my payments would be around $20-$30. I specifically asked and told them I did not want to get surprised with a fat bill. Well guess what just happened 4 months later... I received a $220 bill for my ONE ~30 min appointment of nothing but doing some very basic stretches. The biggest cost came from a pdf file sent to me with more stretches. Mind you, all google-able / youtube-able information. I was billed for sessions longer than my entire appointment time. 75 minutes worth although I was not even there that long? I asked for a breakdown of the costs and did not receive that from them but I did receive it from my insurance company. Like someone else said, the billing practices are absolutely criminal and I'm worried the elderly are getting taken advantage of. Don't trust the front desk people, call your insurance before booking an appointment.

Scheduling was very easy. Everyone there is caring and supportive. For the extra star I would just say that the physical therapists schedules are too tight since I came in and spent 15-20 minutes with one person before he turned me over to Scott and then Scott was also working with someone else for the last 15-20 minutes of my appointment. It is really helpful to spend a full hour with your physical therapist without them being distracted with other patients. Still a good place to go if you can't afford a boutique physical therapy practice.

My strength is coming back slowly but surely. The facility is also very clean. They always disinfect the equipment in between patients. Everyone is kind and always busy working. No one is lazy here. I started working with Brian, who identified a series of weaknesses on my right foot and leg, which is unsurprising considering the amount of injuries I've had on it. It helps to know your coach has plenty of experience weightlifting/powerlifting as well. After a couple of months in PT, I'm happy to report that the knee pain is gone and I'm back to squatting! She is absolutely amazing. She is very caring, authentic, and very knowledgeable. She has been helping me with some issues with my feet, and I have seen a lot of improvement since I started seeing her. I have a ways to go, but she has drastically helped. I have also seen other staff at Sea Pines who are also amazing and knowledgeable. Carly and the administrative staff are also very helpful and help to provide a good experience. They are caring and very knowledgeable about insurance, billing, appointment management, etc. I have seen Julia at both the clinic location and the West Seattle Health club location.
