This is long overdue. I chose Biojunction after having my ACL replaced/repaired. It was during the height of the pandemic and they were very accommodating as scheduling during those times were month plus out bookings which isn't what you need to hear after having surgery and being told that PT was important to recuperating properly. I had the pleasure of working with Dan the majority of the time. Dan was so easy to talk to and make my sessions something to look forward to. As someone who isn't great at small talk, I was always at ease around Dan and found myself laughing on a regular basis. The few times I was unable to book with Dan I worked with Lisa. I am so thankful to have found Corinne! This is my first experience at Biojunction and it's all awesome. Anna and the front desk folks are genuinely friendly and nice to be around, the intake and scheduling are the human-type of communication, not the corporate-form version. Corinne Lizzio is an extraordinary physical therapist. Very intelligent, thoroughly knowledgeable, tuned in to fine details and complex connections, and sensitive to personal styles and working with individuals effectively. Corinne regularly demonstrates her intelligence when I describe a sensation or issue that I'm experiencing. She is ready with a knowledgeable response that resonates with my experience, then guides me through a stretch and exercise that addresses the exact issue. It is a little bit magical sometimes. She is absolutely progressive in her work and earned my wary trust very early in our work together. My issue revolves around my shoulder, a complex joint, that had 37 years to develop before I figured it out. I've seen more than a dozen PTs, half as many chiropractors, hundreds of massage practitioners (esp students!) and a surgery team to address my chronic pain. I've never worked with anyone as effective as Corinne, not even in the same league. She has an incredible eye for physical issues and deep knowledge of the workings and processes needed for change. This cannot be overstated. She understands these so well that her explanations are thorough and extremely informative. My sessions are well-balanced. I always feel fully heard and well-understood. The exercises are on target, satisfying, and progressive. And exciting, the progress is very exciting. Her manual therapy is incredibly effective. I prefer "mean hands" and cruelly deep pressure to relieve the chronic pain I have throughout my muscular system, but Corinne does not have mean hands. Despite my initial disappointment, I have experienced so much relief from her "smart and kind" hands. I am so beyond thankful to have been matched with Corinne as my physical therapist. I especially recommend her for people dealing with unclear or complex issues. Highly recommend. read more

Jordan helped me get thru a very painful but not uncommon problem with my traps and an old neck injury, he was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, tailored his approach to my strength and needs and was funny to boot! I have had two total knee replacement surgeries, and had great recoveries with Biojunction, the most recent from Nov8th to Dec 29th 2023. I couldn't be more impressed with the treatment and care I've received from mainly Nick and Patrick who are supportive, attentive, detailed, and knowledgable. Also I've had sessions with kind and nurturing Tilia, and cerebral Mark. It's a great coaching team, thanks to them, I am comfortably walking five miles a day only three months post surgery. I had an Achilles rupture in April playing basketball and was matched up with Patrick Bell as my Physical Therapist. I'm 52, moderately active, and wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible. I had a visit yesterday and maybe my visit was an anomaly given the number of prior positive reviews. Jasmine from the front desk was helpful, however, my time with the PT was unfortunately not what I'm accustomed to with PT. My PT didn't introduce himself to me so I'm not sure of his name. Most of my PT experience starts with the PT introducing themselves and asking me questions about the injury and hearing from me my goals, etc. The PT began with letting me know my injury is from running (from reading my intake paperwork) and proceeded to tell me that I would have to modify or switch to swimming or biking. After five minutes, I just continued to sit and listen to him. Since he didn't ask about my prior PT experience, he proceeded to share basic exercises. In addition, he had me start with some exercises without any warmup. Every PT I've had has me bike 5-10 minutes to warm up before loading my knee in a squat with an 18 lb weight. Lastly, he was very helpful when pointing out a particular alignment issue so that makes this a two star rating instead of a one star. Hopefully, others share feedback and my experience is not reflective of the other PTs. I cancelled my two follow up appointments. read more

I had a great experience with Matt at Biojunction in West Seattle. Initially I came for PT to heal a broken elbow. Matt was courteous and well-informed, worked me just hard enough to make a difference but not hard enough to really hurt. He gave me good advice and systematic exercises to take home and do. He was unfailingly encouraging; I particularly appreciated not getting guilt-tripped when I didn't always do my homework. I was so impressed, I asked for another referral to work on my balance and ankle strength (part of the cause of the broken elbow). Again Matt was very good at listening to my concerns, figuring out what I needed to work on, and giving me exercises that helped increase my strength. I feel that I now have a resource for any kind of PT I may need down the road. Biojuntion was recommended to me by someone pretty picky with a rotatory-cuff injury, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing help living in my area. Friendly and caring office staff and therapists. I had two months of appointments following a backpacking knee injury. Adam was my physical therapist and he took the time not only to learn about my specific injury (via the MRI and x-rays and orthopedic exam I had done), but also identify areas that needed strengthening to enable me to get back to being active and prevent me from re-injuring myself the same way. The therapy was very much guided by my body's natural healing process and feedback (and my dedication to the excercises) and I felt like the treatment I received was personalized and extremely helpful. I saw Lora and her staff after receiving a recommendation from a friend. After dealing with hip pain/discomfort for over a year that had limited my ability to play sports (volleyball specifically) and not understanding how to correct the situation, it was time to do something different. Lora performed physical testing and assessment along with listening to my descriptions and asking questions in a very thorough manner on our first meeting. I loved that she was also an avid volleyball player, but that aspect wasn't really relevant to her ability to help my situation. After two months of weekly sessions applying a variety of treatments, exercises, stretching and evaluation I had begun to see the results and learned so much in the process that I had been oblivious to on my own. Lora developed an "aftercare" program that I follow months later to keep adding strength and flexibility. Can't say enough about Lora and her team, but know that they provide a caring, thoughtful approach to solving their clients physical issues. read more

I had a terrible fall at work and broke my radius in my right hand, my dominant hand. I chose Biojunction Sports Therapy because I know the owner Lora Clothier and have heard good things. I was not disappointed. Andrew Lisitsky was my Physical Therapist, and I couldn't recommend him enough. He is very kind, thoughtful, and professional. When it came to what my hand could handle, I found him to be very perceptive and I always felt he knew exactly what he was doing. In my 2-3 months of PT I saw significant improvements under Andrew's care. It was a terrible break and with Andrew's help I am now confident that I will, in short time, be back to 100%. I had a rotator cuff injury last year, and my physical therapist Elaina has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She's been very good about adjusting my exercises as my shoulder got better, and was careful not to have me do anything painful. She's friendly, observant, and concerned about her patients. Better care and support that I ever dreamed was available! I'm really not a five-star-rating-giver, but this is well deserved. I had knee surgery at the end 2012 and was a regular patient in the six months following. I started working with Lora and also used Julie. Getting back to competitive sports, in a 40-something sort of way, was my top priority. And where it isn't a given that I will ever be able to play soccer again, I credit Biojunction, as much or if not more than my surgeon, for giving me a shot at making that a reality. I feel stronger and healthier now than I did before my injury. I think this is only health care experience I've ever had where I felt like my provider really listened. Each session started with review of how I was doing/feeling/progressing and discussing the options going forward. When things came up, as they do with a significant injury, the treatment plan was adapted to get me back on track. For me getting back to walking was especially challenging due to largely unrelated hip and low back injuries. I'm not yet 100%, but I'm ahead of schedule. What I've come to expect in health care is a one-size fits all solution that either works for you or it doesn't. With Julie and Lora and the Biojunction team I felt like I had a physical therapist, a personal trainer, coach and health care advocate all in one. I have MS and have been going to Biojunction as needed since 2011 when I started experiencing problems with my right leg and arm. After observing and evaluating my problem Lora suggested I see my medical doctor for a diagnosis. It took awhile but eventually I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. My Doctor referred me back to Lora for physical therapy. She has been instrumental in my improved health and functionality. I had not seen her for awhile until I recently fell and needed PT. I have had chronic hip pain for more than a decade. I have been to many doctors and one physical therapist before coming to Biojunction. Some treatments I received in the past actually made my pain worse. I received cortisone injections which ended up rupturing a tendon in multiple places. Lisa Curtis is the first clinician to ever figure out what the underlying issue causing my pain is. She is helping me to use different muscles while walking and treating some really intensely tight deep tissue issues. It's a process not a quick fix but I've had this problem for so many years disrupting my life that is finally resolving. She is a genius miracle worker I am so grateful to have found her! read more

Fantastic people, great attention and care. My ortho even recommended them. Lisa is great and Dan is the dude. I've had some weird ass problems with my body and they've always been a help. Sometimes scheduling snafus happen - reschedule becomes double schedule, etc, but they're pretty accommodating and don't try to foist the cost on you if and when it happens. The crew at BJST helped me out with a chronic hip injury/issues that happened during a half-iron a few years back. They diagnoses that the hip issue was actually related to lack of strength and flexibility and we immediately began working on my range of motion, strength, and flexibility. After tearing my ACL, I worked with Andrew Holloway as my physical therapist at Biojunction Sports Therapy for about 9 months. Overall, Andrew did a great job. He helped provide solid motivation, offered good plans for activities I could do in between appointments, and he helped me understand what my body was doing as a result of my injury. He was everything I would have expected from a quality therapist. I also have friends who specialize in orthopedic surgery, and I would regularly share what Andrew and I were working on and they would always approve. Regarding the facility, Biojunction is a great place. Front desk staff was always super efficient and excellent about scheduling. Zero issues with insurance billing, too. And the place is well cared for and clean!! Overall, I would highly recommend Biojunction and Andrew. read more

I have been dealing with both a nagging running injury from 18 months ago (hamstring) and an emergent shoulder injury. I scheduled an appointment at Biojunction with Julie. She was able to quickly diagnose, provide therapy and help me strengthen and resolve both issues, as well as provide some great education on how to prevent future issues. I had such a positive experience at the Wallingford Biojunction! I tore two ligaments in my knee and went to Biojunction because it was half a block from my house and during those two months they were my only connection to the outside world. When I started PT there I couldn't stand or walk and Isaac was very patient with me through the whole process. There were times where I was in tears from the pain and frustration but every time I would go in Faith would greet me with a kind smile (I am assuming she was smiling, everyone there complies with the mask mandate!) and a lot of praise about my progress. Isaac met me where I was while also managing to push me more and more each session. I am not a physical therapist so although I am sure the exercises and the therapies were appropriate to my injury, it was really the attitude and the positivity of everyone there that helped me though this tough time in my life. It's weird to say this but I am really going to miss seeing them all every week! I would highly recommend Biojunction to anyone who needs a PT, you won't meet a more friendly group of people (Isaac, Paul, Faith and I are all Libras!) When I fractured my spine and had multiple balance issues, the team at Biojunction worked me for about 3 years. Rachel, Julie and the entire team worked with my various specialists, even advocating for me at times to get me the best possible care for my pain and falling issues. They are skillful professionals, specialists who are quite knowledgeable and will explain how healing can happen even when one may think it may be impossible. I was intentional about choosing Biojunction because my experience with other places up to this point was not very good.
