In Vancouver there are many thai food choices to pick from. I have found that Kindee Thai has consistently provided excellent food, as well as having great costumer service. I prefer their chicken pad thai with medium level spiciness, but be forewarned that if you do not like spicy food get mild or no spice. I usually order take out from there, and it has always been completed quickly and ready to pick up by the time I get there. It can get busy at times, so if you are in a rush I would recommend ordering online and picking it up. There is a lot of parking around the restaurant and is wheelchair accessible. Usually like it here, but today was a bit disappointing. It was warm out, but stifling hot in the restaurant, I sat in view of the thermostat & it said 80 degrees. But after awhile they turned up the a/c and it lowered to 75. The other problem was with my order. I wanted the Vegetable Zen Noodles, but after it came I noticed pieces of chicken! I have a picky family all in the restaurant business and this place passes the test. Favorites so far are Potstickers, Larb, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai. Staff has been great and very friendly. Good sized portions at reasonable prices, all served mild (nothing spicy unless specified in menu or specifically asked for), everything was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but definitely hit the spot for a Thai meal. The best Thai in Vancouver. I've been to a lot of Thai places and I keep coming back here because no one does it better than kindee Thai. Things we order on a regular basis are pad Thai, red curry, crab puffs, crispy roll, cashew nut vegetable, drunken noodles, all delicious as I'd expect everything to be there. I've picked up takeout here probably 40+ times and have only had it wrong once, for which they profusely apologized and made it right on the spot. So, we have no kids and we thought we give this place one more try. My wife ordered Thai pad and I order curry. The only thing They got right was the large order of rice. The food at Kindee Thai is excellent. When they first opened, it was decent but over the time they have been open the food has improved significantly. The biggest and most positive difference that I have noticed is that it is simply much more consistent. The portions are very generous and are perfect for having family style. I have found that there has not been too many things that we have tried that we would not order again. I tend to judge a Thai restaurant by two things, first, its curries and more specifically, their Panang Curry. First and most importantly is it thick and creamy and second, how is the heat and finally, what is the consistency of the various ingredients? For example, are the green beans completely cooked or too crunchy and is there enough red pepper in the dish to compliment the other ingredients and is there enough basil, lemon grass and other herbs to really be noticed. The last several times we have been to this place, this dish has been perfect and almost the same level of default heat every time. They offer a number of dishes that are really good in addition to their curry selections. Their noodle dishes are excellent both the Phad Thai and the Pad KiMow are excellent and several of the stir fry dishes are excellent as well as are the appetizers. The coconut prawns are really good and the Satay is great too So, if you are looking for an excellent place in the middle of the relative culinary mediocrity of the 'Couve, put this place on your list! It is now rivaling a number of other Thai places not only up here but also in Portland! read more

I have gone to Kindee Thai about 7 times. Each time I've gone and ate inside the restaurant it has been great. However I've ordered to go food about 2 times now. One of my favorite items is the Pineapple Fried Rice. Every time I've ordered it to go the don't put pineapple in it. How do you not put pineapple in the pineapple fried rice? The first time I thought they just made a mistake but then the second time I ordered it again and they "forgot" again. I feel like its there way of getting out of putting an expensive ingredient into my rice to cut cost. Which is bull because the rice is 10+ dollars. I won't be going back... First I need to mention there was a long black hair in the soup. I did not want to make a scene so did not tell the server about it. This was my first visit today with my husband. We ordered Fresh Salad Rolls for appetizer, Tom Yam Soup and pad ginger with chicken for lunch today. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice but the both personal plates had cracks and chips. The serving order was all mixed up, first soup came then appetizer, waited for more than 5 minutes till pad ginger was served after we finished up the soup and salad rolls.
